We had a fantastic holiday with plenty to keep us entertained. The activities and entertainment were impressive, and there was always food and drink available. The beach transfer was well-organized, and our beach day was one of the highlights, with lots to do for all ages. Our room was clean, spacious, and there were loads of options for fun, including the arcade, kids’ club, and fairground. A few minor downsides: the outdoor pool temperature was a bit too cool for our 5-year-old, making it tough to enjoy the slides fully. The presence of cats in the restaurant was off-putting, and it could be quite busy, making it hard to find a table at times. Additionally, the food selection, though available all day, felt repetitive over the week. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, and we’d happily recommend it for families looking for lots of activities and entertainment but I’d encourage to go in the summer to enjoy the outdoor pools…

Disappointing is the sweeping statement of this trip. Arrived around 6pm, not offered a welcome drink or even water, just a form to fill in and sent to our room. Great first impression? The hotel decor is nice enough, and the food is decent but nothing here is a patch on the Göcek property. If you’re an adult travelling without kids then my advice is to give this place a wide berth. It is chaos. Feral kids everywhere and entitled adults who think it’s alright to take up entire walkways with their prams and just stop dead right in front of you, almost knocking you into the pool/onto the floor. There is an adults only pool, although some parents have ignored the sign saying 16+ only….as if this place isn’t big enough for kids (it’s huge) they have to invade the adults space too. There is no adults only space on the beach, so if you want peace and quiet you have to hide at the pool and pray there are no ignorant parents with kids invading the space. The beautiful cats and kittens at the adults pool are so adorable. A little bit of ham or salmon from the buffet each morning for them! (I looked after them Alison I promise) The reservation system for the restaurants is horrendous. Heaven forfend you forget to have your phone glued to your hand at 10:00 every morning, or it’s feeding time at the zoo (the buffet) for you! Only day 4 of 7 we started to be able to get a booking. Myself and my friend came here for a quite relaxing week, it has been the exact opposite. Service is hit and miss. A chap behind the bar on the first full day decided it’s the right thing to do to try and serve another guest (Russian) stood behind me in the queue when I’m right at the front, thankfully that guest had some manners and told the bar man that I was first (as if being at the front of the queue wasn’t obvious enough) WhatsApp assistants are helpful as are the luggage staff, and a couple of attentive staff in the tiny adults area that kids constantly run through in the zoo buffet. Vitamin bar, I asked for the extremely difficult drink, pineapple juice, was told to wait whilst the fruit lady cut up some pineapple to put on the side, ok, I waited, I was ignored, other people getting served, so ten minutes later I left with no drink. Ordered some drinks to the lounger on the beach one afternoon, I asked if the “fizz” could be from a fresh bottle as every glass of it I’d tried already was completely flat…..drinks never arrived. Great place if you’re a family with kids. If you want to relax then avoid it like the plague. Will be the adults focused Göcek hotel if I ever return to a Rixos property again, best part of 2k per person to listen to screaming feral kids. Don’t be fooled by the lovely photos people, it is not the calm and peaceful resort it claims to be! If you’re not Russian or don’t have children in tow, they’re not interested.

The Maxx Royal was absolutely outstanding and beyond our expectations, which were pretty high to start with! Everything was just fabulous, the food and drink, the pools, location, the grounds and the staff, a genuine 5* hotel!!! The best but for my family, however, was our two ‘Maxx Assistants’, Anastasiia and Diana, they were what really made it that bit extra special. Anastasiia and Diana really were the most pleasant, efficient, courteous and generally outstandingly professional individuals you could wish to meet. Not only this, but they were genuinely kind and caring people - as I found out when, unfortunately, my 7 year old daughter took quite ill while we were staying there. She had to go to the doctor a few times, and then taken to hospital by ambulance. Obviously a horrible situation, especially in a foreign country, but nothing was too much for them and they did everything possible to provide practical help, and more. They went so far above and beyond it was quite amazing really. Some of the things they did for our family during the holiday was so thoughtful and I really can’t thank them enough. And my daughter was desperate to thank them too when she got out! 💖 Thank you - again!! ☺️

A very nice resort right on the beach. The food was very good, there was something for everyone. Overall we were very happy with everything and would definitely come back

Just returned back yesterday from a fabulous two week stay at Susesi Luxury resort, which exceeded expactions based on what I had read on here. Booked with Jet2 and had a standard room with balcony overlooking the mountains. Room was large, modern, well equipped bathroom with hairdryer and toiletries. Fully stocked mini bar with alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and plenty of teas,coffees and small snacks. Air conditioned. Iron and ironing board was delivered to our room in minutes. Bearing in mind this is a large hotel we heard no noises from other guests and had really good nights sleep on a comfortable bed. Main restaurant has around 20 different main dishes each evening catering for everyone. There are a further I think 8 a la carte restaurants. Some of these you can use free of charge the Asian restaurant we paid 15 euro each and food was excellent. There are also numerous bars dotted around which you tended to stumble accross as week progressed. The hotel is maticulous on keeping everywhere clean and tidy and would not say it was tired completely the opposite again on reviews I had read. Evening entertainment was good with high profile dance and music shows similar to what you would get on a decent cruise liner. There is also music via a dj after show has finished around 10.15pm til around 11.30. There is also a nightclub open til i think 3am There a numerous swiming pools, Gym, Spa and water park, plus tennis and ten pin bowling. Hotel also has pier which can be used for sunbathing or taking a drink and beach is private to the hotel with plenty of sunbeds and canopies. The watersports are available at the beach. There is a conference centre at the hotel and is used by large companies. We did not find that had an impact on service in the restaurant which some people have put on their reviews The best part of the experience were the staff which are a credit to the hotel. I think they exceeded anything I had experienced at any other hotel, bearing in mind there were many nationalities staying. Noticed that clientelle were also courteous to the staff which I think goes a long way. Some of the hotels in the area are connected to the golf courses in Belek and obtain discounted rates. We took our clubs with us and managed to obtain discounts through Alexa golf in Antalya. The hotel will drive you on an electric buggy to the Cornelia club which is next to the hotel. We had hired a car for two weeks so getting anywhere was not a problem We plan to return to the hotel again next year as ticks all the boxes for us and would have no hesitation in recommending to friends and family.
