To experience taking photos with whale sharks, we specifically stayed two days on a local island. We booked with this company and Arena. There were four of us in total. Arena didn't have any triple rooms left, so we could only book two rooms, which were quite basic. The Icom company was okay, but the breakfast was limited. Don't book their activities; the photos won't turn out well.
Wonderful hotel. Spacious room, nothing extra. Special thanks for the quality of the pillows, you fall asleep literally as soon as you put your head on it. Soft comfortable bed. Breakfast is prepared practically in front of you. Very tasty. I especially liked the tuna with coconut flakes. The hotel territory is small, but it looks atmospheric. The staff is friendly, helpful. At night I wanted to drink tea with sweets, despite the late time of day, they accompanied me and showed me the store 😅🤌. You need to understand that this is not a luxury hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and atmosphere.
My recent stay with you from September 7 - 11 was nothing short of extraordinary. While the five-star rating is a given, I wanted to write a more personal review to highlight exactly what made our time so memorable.
Lily at the Front Desk: Her warm welcome set the tone for our entire vacation.
The Housekeeping Team: They are absolute artists of their craft. Our room was not just cleaned, but thoughtfully tidied and restocked twice daily.
You have created something truly special. The resort provides the perfect stage, but your staff are the stars of the show. Thank you for an unforgettable experience. We left not just relaxed and rejuvenated, but genuinely happy.
This hotel has received some of the highest ratings of any hotel I've stayed at. The beach is right in front of the hotel, so the location is great.
The ocean view room was also lovely. The room was larger than I expected, which was nice.
The hotel staff were very kind and took great care of me throughout my trip. The fruit juice I had for breakfast was delicious.
I was also glad there were so many activity options.
I was very satisfied with being able to see sharks, dolphins, and turtles.
I received information about the shuttle service via email in advance. I was worried about the shuttle until the day of my stay, but I was able to find the staff as soon as I arrived.
After checking out, they let me use the shower room and provided towels and a hair dryer. This was very helpful since my return flight was an overnight flight.
It was a memorable trip.
The hotel exceeded all expectations. It's an incredibly beautiful, lush, and authentic island, without feeling overly polished or brand new. It felt like being on a deserted island, yet everything was clean, and details like lighting were perfectly highlighted. The nature felt untouched.
The ocean was stunningly beautiful. The turquoise water stretched for dozens of meters from the shore (but remember to bring water shoes!).
The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. You didn't even have to ask for anything; they proactively offered everything. Towels were changed twice a day, and they constantly checked if we needed anything like water or coffee. The service was so good that you often don't find this level of attentiveness even in much higher-category hotels.
Breakfasts were fantastic, with everything you could need: pastries, hash browns, made-to-order omelets, eggs, waffles, and pancakes. There was always a wide selection of fruits – watermelon, papaya, two types of melon, pineapple, passion fruit, bananas, and oranges. Breakfast was truly complete.
Dinners were a little less impressive, but that's just my personal preference; I'm not a big fan of everything being in sauces. However, I could always find something to eat.
It was my friend's birthday, and at dinner, we were given a specially decorated table, the entire staff congratulated him, and there was a cake with candles. While we were enjoying dinner, our room was decorated with birthday greetings. I was impressed by how well thought out and coordinated their actions were.
We also received a free upgrade to a water villa. We spent 4 days in a beach bungalow, room 301, and then 3 days in a water villa, room 506. There's a separate restaurant for the villas, which we were also able to visit and did. That was a very pleasant bonus. Thank you. Our vacation was unforgettable, and we will definitely return.
This is simply an incredible hotel for the price.
The hotel is located 7 minutes from the airport. The hotel is superb; everything is beautiful. The furniture is a bit old-fashioned, but everything is clean. The service is excellent. Thanks to Aziz for everything. The breakfasts are good. The nature is fantastic. Snorkeling masks and fins are provided for free. There's a shallow entry perfect for kids. Lots of fish. It's really beautiful.
Now for the downsides:
It's close to the airport, so it's noisy.
There are a lot of mosquitoes. So many. So, so many.
If your dinner and lunch aren't included, be prepared for a $32 burger. Extremely expensive.
We had an absolutely amazing time at Villa Nautica—without a doubt one of the best places we have ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how clean, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully designed the entire property was. Every corner of the villa felt welcoming, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing getaway.
A very special thanks goes to our wonderful host, Glory. She truly made our stay unforgettable. She took care of everything with so much attention and warmth, always checking in to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Her bubbly personality, genuine kindness, and loving nature added such a personal touch to our experience.
Villa Nautica exceeded our expectations in every way, and we would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a memorable and refreshing stay!
The old 5 star island, the equipment feels a bit old, the most unfortunate thing is that there is only one Chinese employee on the island or dive center, it is with my parents, they are not good English, they are both on the island Nothing to say. There are many Japanese people on the island, and Japan Go is very enthusiastic about talking with Japanese guests and making people look envious. The service is just like the general, just a lot of professional smirk. At the end of the day, when the island was arranged in a mess, the housekeeper did not know when we left, and the night before, someone called to confirm the time of the island. After sitting on the speed boat, I waited for another half of the day, and a European who had a child was angry. Just... it’s gone. In addition, the fish you can see is a bit monotonous and a bit boring. Finally, at the airport, the hotel staff directly handed us over to the black tour guide? ? ?
I really had a fantastic stay at the resort. The staff were super friendly and went that extra mile to make you feel comfortable. The amenities were enough to keep up entertained and the excursions weren’t too expensive either. I must mention, they had a fantastic local band on the Friday named “the Prizem”, loved em. The water surrounding the resort is beautiful and clear, however, sadly the coral was mostly dead. Also, one bit of advice. It’s definitely worth spending that little bit extra to go All inclusive, like myself. The meals and drinks are on the high side and you won’t regret going AI, trust me. Overall it’s a great little resort for a great price for what I paid.
We had an unforgettable stay at Grand Park Kodhipparu, and everything about our experience exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the personalized service stood out! The team was incredibly responsive and quick to reply to our messages throughout our stay. The welcome and in-villa check-in were detailed and thoughtful, with a staff patiently answering all our questions and making us feel completely at ease.
We stayed in the Reef Water Villa and absolutely loved it. Snorkeling every day was a highlight, as the marine life was rich and vibrant. We were lucky enough to see sea turtles from our balcony two mornings in a row. The shark tour was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience and something we will never forget.
The biggest highlight for us was the candlelight dinner under the stars. The meal was delicately prepared, and having a personal host and chef on a private beach for the evening made it incredibly special and romantic. Everything felt perfectly arranged just for us.
We highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for exceptional service, breathtaking surroundings, and unforgettable experiences. We can’t wait to return!

PPestova NataliaLocation is very close to Male and free transfer is a nice touch.
Good Balinese style villa with new facilities, great bathroom with outdoor shower and bath.
Nice breakfast and dinner buffet, not many options, but they have everything you need. Many drinks included.
A lot of greenery and trees on the island, many lizards, herons, bats. That’s great. And a lot of shade, great for walking.
Small coral reefs very close to the beach, so anyone not good at snorkelling can see the fish.
The hotel is very close to Male, a bit too close actually. It’s very popular among locals and Indians, so it’s kind of crowded. The hotel only have 2 beaches (not big actually) and if there are kids at the resort, the beach will be really noisy.
You will not have complete Maldivian sense while staying at this resort. It’s good, the sea is still beautiful, but there might be some trash in the water. You will hear every single airplane and seaplane coming to Male. It’s not quite what you expect from Maldives.
Water sports are very poor - not much options, not many snorkelling tours. Many facilities were broken or not available during our stay.
Bicycles are very expensive! Normally the bikes like that ( not the best quality actually) shall be complimentary for all guests.
Reception staff is not very talkative. They are kind of invisible. Although welcome staff was very nice and friendly.
Anyway, it’s great resort for 1-2 nights before or after your stay at some other remote island.
GGuest UserAwesome place to visit. The best thing about the stay was the water villa with jacuzzi and instant access to amazing snorkeling. Rajan our house attendant was a particular highlight, he always had a big smile on his face and went above and beyond to make our stay special and really succeeded, if you read this Rajan, thank you very much for your excellent hospitality, you made our stay very enjoyable!
Only feedback I would give is to reduce the number of notifications sent by the app, it was a bit excessive. Also, due to the sky high prices of even simple activities, we opted to gave all of them a pass. A night snorkeling excursion asking for something like USD90 and then also charging USD15 for torch rental feels a little silly. You cannot go night snorkeling without a torch.
Otherwise, we were really happy with the stay.
GGuest UserThe room is not big but it is enough for a family. The island is small and snorkeling is really good. You can see many beautiful small fish not far from the shore. Unfortunately, I didn't find a turtle, but there are people around, so the chance is still very high.
Finally, let me talk about the service. It can be said that it changed my impression of Banyan Tree. I have stayed in several Banyan Trees in China, and there are always various dissatisfactions. If it weren't for the shadow of taking a seaplane, and I wanted to snorkel, I might not choose Banyan Tree again. But this so-called low-profile version is really not inferior to any Banyan Tree with high-end decoration. Everyone has a lively eye and will provide enthusiastic service. Even many service staff know the room number of each guest. But I casually said that I came to celebrate my anniversary, so I decorated the room and sent desserts.
When leaving the island, a row of employees waved goodbye, and the boat was still waving far away, which was very touching.
I hope to see turtles when I come back next time, which is also a reason for myself.
AAndy pezLovely place and fantastic staff and food. However, on the downside, everything is overpriced, and they do try to up sell everything from food and experiences. We stayed in the water jacuzzi villas at the north of the island and ate in the adult only restaurant, which was fantastic. The food was good and the staff were lovely. Have Ali cook your complete in the morning. He's a real fun guy.
On the excursions. The good and the bad and the total miss advertising of them.
Sunset Punch Cruise is a joke. The punch is fruit punch, no alcohol. The advert gives you a sense of a party theme trip. It's not, and you just get a glass of punch at the beginning of the trip. Overpriced. Saw dolphins and a nice sunset.
Shark Snorkelling disappointing 😞 overpriced and felt like being in an aquarium and not in the wild. Spent an hour on the boat to end up at an abandoned harbour with viewing platforms, and that's where you swim. Hit and miss with sharks.
Traditional Dhoni Sailing Boat. Peaceful and lovely experience. 3 staff manned the boat, and we sat there enjoying the peace and quiet and the sun. We were very lucky and saw Sting Ray, Manta Ray, and turtles in our 1 hour experience. Excellent experience.
Adventure Snorkelling was far the best experience and worth the money, which is dependent on the number of people doing the experience. Our guide was excellent and well versed in the reefs and wildlife around. A great half day adventure.
Overall a get place to visit but expensive and overpriced in its extras.
GGuest UserWe arrived to this little piece of paradise only expecting a short visit but due to the pandemic we ended up extending. The island is stunning and as its a new resort you can see that once the plantation takes hold it will be even more beautiful. The reef is really clean, the corals considering the bleaching has been bad in the Maldives is the best we have been too in the area and there is plenty of sealife and the snorkelling very easy. The spa is wonderful and all the staff charming. You can do yoga 3 times a week and Erma the teacher was lovely. The all inc package is great and you can eat and drink as you wish throughout your stay. The bartenders and waiters so very good and make the best cocktails. Rohan the food and beverage manager is fantastic at his job and runs an excellent tight ship. There are so many people to say thank you too that the list would be too long. The three girls Devla, Bee and Sandu were so accommodating to myself and my son. You have a choice to eat A la carte or buffet and also to go to another restaurant called Keon where the stand out food was made by chef Susika. One of the waiters ‘slow:)’ made us wonderful gifts and we were basically spoilt rotten from beginning to end. The general manager is fabulous too and always went out of his way to help. Would I go recommend or go back here? Absolutely in a flash it made memories.

GGuest UserWe had the most amazing time of our lives when we travelled to the Maldives for our 10th wedding anniversary. We stayed at Oaga Art Resort and we enjoyed every bit of it. We booked the all-inclusive deal at the overwater villa. The villa was clean and very spacious. Our host, Rifa made our stay extra comfortable. He booked all our activities for us and explained everything to us. He was always a text away when we needed help. The food was 100/10, super good. Soraya at Raa Baa was such an amazing. She literally knew what drinks we wanted even before we ordered. Her mocktails are the best. Ali, assistant restaurant manager was very helpful and explained the meals and everything regarding food to us. Enaamel was a great housekeeper. Also had a lovely smile and did his job very well. Our chef, Suppoon(hope I spelt the name correctly) was also a true gem. We also had a private dinner at the beach. The grills and food for the dinner was done fresh at the beach while we waited. Rakesh was so helpful to us. He’s such a gentleman and very helpful. We made family in just a few days and we are surely coming back next year!
