The front desk staff were warm, thoughtful, and provided meticulous service. The hotel is located in the heart of the Huaqiangbei business district, close to the subway station, making it extremely convenient for travel, shopping, and business activities. Guests can easily walk to various commercial areas and food streets, which greatly simplifies their daily life, work, and tourism, saving both time and effort.

The location is quite good, but the road in front of the hotel gets really congested during rush hour. And with Guangzhou bus drivers cutting in recklessly, those driving themselves really need to watch out not to get scraped. My second minor gripe is that for some reason, the Mandarin Oriental is so insistent on canned Voss water. The problem is, as soon as you open these cans, water splashes out everywhere. I hope the MO can improve this mineral water next time I visit. Everything else was great; the room was very tidy, and the cleanliness and attention to detail were also excellent.

Perfect for both business and leisure travel. 👍 Every year, my parents, my kids, and I come to Guangzhou for shopping and dim sum. We used to stay at Marriott or Sheraton in the Tianhe Sports Center area, but their prices have been steadily increasing in recent years, and the surroundings are getting too crowded and noisy, leaving little space for my elderly parents to relax. After careful comparison, we chose Guangdong Guest House, and both my parents and children loved it. First, the environment is fantastic. As an older hotel, it has the advantage of spacious grounds, perfect for swimming and leisurely strolls. Second, the entrance isn't congested, making it super easy to catch a taxi; all the drivers know the place, so my parents feel comfortable getting back on their own. Plus, the hotel isn't overly popular, which means the service is more attentive and personalized. Walking through the gardens, every step reveals a new beautiful scene, with precious photos and artifacts that really give you a unique taste of Guangzhou's charm. We'll definitely be staying at Guangdong Guest House again next time we visit! ❤️

I've stayed here many times. The location is fantastic, right next to Taikoo Hui, and parking is free. Although it's an older hotel, the overall room cleanliness and quality are quite good. There was a slight smell of smoke, but it wasn't noticeable after running the AC and opening a window for a while. The service was also great; the front desk staff, Qiqi, was very good and professional, and they were responsive to any issues I raised.

I chose Hidden Retreat Hotel for my New Year's holiday with my mom and child, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice! Both the service and facilities were excellent, and the room rates weren't too expensive for the holiday season. This garden-style hotel boasts excellent greenery and fresh air. The rooms are spacious, and the small balcony offers a lovely view of lush foliage, which is very pleasant. The room's cleanliness is also impeccable. However, the front desk lady, while seemingly experienced, wasn't very logical in her service. She didn't mention the complimentary double afternoon tea, and I had to call and ask about it myself. In contrast, the bellhop who helped with our luggage was much more professional, guiding us to the breakfast area and the swimming pool along the way. The complimentary afternoon tea was fantastic! Breakfast was also very rich and varied. Our whole family had a wonderful time at the hotel.

Always a great experience! The front desk allowed an early check-in and an upgraded room, plus they sent welcome fruits. The customer service staff was also very thoughtful, helping us with a late check-out since we were traveling with kids. The dining at the three restaurants is quite good; breakfast offers a wide variety, and the dishes at the Chinese restaurant are consistently excellent—never a bad choice. There are plenty of outdoor activities, and the indoor large playground was a big hit with the kids. The indoor heated pool is also a nice touch.

Check-in at the front desk was very quick, and the staff were patient and responded promptly to any questions. After checking in, they even offered complimentary sweet soup, which was a nice touch! The bed was just the right firmness, and I slept soundly until morning. It's conveniently located near restaurants and shops, and transportation is easy. Excellent value for money, making it my top choice for accommodation when traveling. I've already recommended it to my friends!

For the past two or three years, I've been visiting Shunde Daliang almost every three months, and I always stay here. The hotel's location is convenient, and the decor has a charming, antique Lingnan style. They have a self-service laundry room and an outdoor rooftop pool. The hotel also boasts its own restaurant, serving excellent and consistently good dim sum and Chinese lunch. The front desk staff are warm and attentive, and the room attendants provide thoughtful and detailed service, which truly deserves praise! Highly recommended!
