Don't use the showerhead directly, or the bathroom will turn into a pond. The service really needs improvement. They'll overcharge you if you don't check your bill. I booked two rooms for three nights through Trip.com, but they kept saying they couldn't find my reservation. On the first day, they said they couldn't find the third day's booking. On the second day, they said they only found one room's reservation. Since I booked separately, I had to reactivate my key card every day. The power in the room would cut out and come back on automatically, and the curtains would open and close suddenly, which really scared me. The room cleaning time varied each day, and they'd often forget to replenish water or take a very long time. Plus, no one answered the phone.

This trip to Perth, I stayed in three hotels in total, and this one for 5 days was my favorite and offered the best value for money. The room wasn't huge, but it felt spacious. The staff were very polite. Initially, I thought they only provided two bottles of water daily, but then I found a card in the bathroom stating that guests could refill water on the first floor! We just didn't notice it earlier. There are many delicious and affordable restaurants nearby, and some beautiful buildings too. Plus, the free Red Cat bus to the city center is conveniently close. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

I arrived at the airport in the evening and stayed one night nearby before picking up a rental car the next morning for a self-drive trip north. The hotel is close to the airport and offers a free shuttle bus, which is great! Service: You need to call the front desk for the shuttle after arriving, which was a bit of a challenge for my English listening skills, especially since the pick-up spot wasn't exactly as described online. Luckily, Perth Airport isn't too big. The next morning, I took the shuttle back to the airport to pick up my car, again for free. This is a huge plus in high-cost Australia 👍 Environment: The hotel is located by the highway, but the courtyard is quiet and clean. Hygiene: The windows in the room couldn't be opened, and there was a strong smell of cleaning solution that wouldn't dissipate. Other than that, everything else was fine.

Nice and tidy - friendly helpful staff. I missed dinner but lucky that has some really yummy sandwiches in their snack fridge was very grateful. It’s not on the cheaper end so I only stay when they have deals but it’s a good quality joint and always get a good night sleep.

This was a fantastic stay! The front desk staff were warm and efficient with both check-in and check-out. The room was meticulously cleaned, even the corners were spotless, and there were no strange odors. The bedding was soft and the pillows were comfortable. The soundproofing in the room was excellent, making it very quiet at night. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the hot water supply was stable. The hotel's location is convenient, making it easy to find places to eat and get around. Overall, it's great value for money, and I felt very comfortable throughout my trip. I'll prioritize this hotel for my next trip and highly recommend it to everyone!

Oaks Perth Hotel – Pros & Cons Pros - Excellent CBD location, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, Perth Train Station, Elizabeth Quay, and the free CAT buses. - Spacious rooms with a kitchenette. - Comfortable beds, clean rooms, and friendly staff. - Good value for money. - Our Deluxe Studio was quiet as it did not face the main street. - Special thanks to Shani, who was warm and welcoming, and provided us with lots of helpful information that made us feel comfortable throughout our 9 days 8 nights stay. Cons - Bathroom is dated, with no handheld shower and some mold in the bathtub corner. - No on-site parking, but the hotel offers an unlimited-entry nearby parking (just opposite the hotel- raine sq car park) pass for AUD30/day. Overall A great value hotel for exploring Perth. For a quieter stay, choose a Deluxe Studio or a room away from Murray Street.

The hotel's central location is incredibly convenient for getting around. The room was clean, but the replenishment of toiletries wasn't timely or sufficient. The hotel breakfast was quite monotonous; it was the same spread for all four mornings of my stay. I'd suggest adding some variety. Overall, it was a good stay.

We recently stayed at Wonil Hotel for a weekend getaway with my toddler, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience overall. We arrived late in the evening and were advised at check-in that there was no parking available, despite the booking information stating that parking was available and no reservation was required. As a solo parent travelling with a young child and luggage, this created a very stressful start to our stay. It took us 4 trips up and down between the basement and the room, and no assistance was offered by staff at check in. Soon after we transferred our luggage to the room, around 9pm, I had to drive along Hackett Drive towards Matilda Bay Restaurant to search for street parking. As a parent travelling alone with a toddler, I did not feel comfortable leaving my car there overnight. I then had to carry my child and walk several hundred metres back to the hotel in the dark, which was quite upsetting and honestly made me feel unsafe. During our stay, I could also regularly hear staff chatting at reception and complaining about other guests, which did not feel professional or welcoming. The hotel itself is relatively new and the location is excellent — close to the foreshore, playgrounds, walking trails and restaurants — which was the main reason I chose it. However, the overall build quality and room presentation were disappointing. Our bathroom sink was leaking, and there were visible cracks and defects in the bench and fittings. Before booking, I genuinely thought this could become one of our regular weekend getaway spots because the location has so much potential. Unfortunately, after this experience, I would not feel comfortable returning as a solo parent travelling with a child again.

This destination is undoubtedly one of the most relaxing places you can visit, with breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere that invites you to unwind. The accommodations, especially the lakefront rooms, are fantastic. They provide a perfect vantage point to soak in the picturesque scenery. However, there are areas that need attention, particularly regarding the cleaning service. On our two-day stay, the cleaners arrived quite late, and unfortunately, their work did not meet expectations. The bed wasn't properly made, the pillowcases were not changed, and the floors were not vacuumed, which was quite disappointing. This aspect highlights the need for improved management of the housekeeping team to ensure a consistently high standard of cleanliness. The resort's restaurant, however, is a highlight. It boasts a beautiful ambiance and a menu that delivers a perfect balance of flavors. The food was expertly prepared, but we did find the portion size of the duck leg ordered for our 12-year-old to be a bit small. While the presentation and taste were exceptional, a larger portion would enhance the overall dining experience. Another minor concern was the noise levels in the rooms. With some soundproofing measures, particularly on walls shared with other rooms, the overall comfort could be significantly improved. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and helpful, contributing to the warm atmosphere of the resort. I would highly recommend visiting Karri Valley Resort for its heavenly lake views and relaxing environment. With a few adjustments, it has the potential to be an unparalleled getaway in WA.
