"What an amazing hotel, the staff were most friendly and helpful. Its proximity to the old town makes this a must stay location. The breakfast was spectacular and the rooftop pool and bar were fabulous. Overall an excellent location and will be a repeat stay for me in the future."

"Great little hotel just across the river from old town, walkable everywhere, including the bus station. Loved the investment in proper dark blinds that keep out the light and soundproofing (important for the noise from the bar downstairs that goes until the early morning). Basic amenities (e.g. shampoo/conditioner/body wash all in one and 1 bottle of water which was not refilled during our 3-night stay) but great value for the location and quality of the room. Would stay again!"

GGuest UserThe pension is easy to find, and staff are very helpful. Beds are comfortable; coffee and tea are available; everything is clean.
The only difficulty might be is there is only one bathroom for all the guests. We were here in low season, so didn't have much difficulty, but I can imagine problems in the high season.
The pension is in the old part of San Sebastian, so visiting the most picturesque parts is easy, as is visiting nearby villages.
Local food is excellent.
I highly recommend this pension; excellent value for your money. It's the best base for exploring this part of the Basque Country.

GGuest UserThe lady at the front desk was very friendly and enthusiastic when we checked in, asking if we needed a map and briefly explaining the surrounding routes.
The water pressure in the bathroom was a bit low, and switching between the showerhead settings required some guesswork.
Breakfast had a decent variety of choices.
It's only about a ten-minute walk from the Guggenheim Museum and the airport bus stop. It would have been better if they had provided information about the airport bus service being suspended on May 1st, as we checked out on Labor Day and waited at the bus stop for over half an hour for nothing.

The location is excellent, right next to the Shell Beach, although the hotel doesn't offer a view of it.
The shower in the bathroom has strong water pressure. The room has large windows, and while there might be some noise issues as others mentioned, earplugs can easily solve that. The room itself is also quite spacious. Breakfast was good too.
When booking, I requested two single beds, and the hotel paid attention to my preference, unlike other places that often get the bed type wrong. This was a pleasant surprise.

GGuest UserIf you have ever wanted to use the toilet while maintaining direct, uninterrupted eye contact with your travel companion, Letoh Letoh Bilbao is the hotel for you. It easily wins the grand prize for the most absurd room design ever conceived: the toilet and shower are trapped inside a glass box on the side of the room. It affords absolutely zero privacy, making it a spectacular choice for anyone looking to destroy all romance or mystery in their relationship.
Beyond the exhibitionist bathroom layout, the amenities are aggressively basic. Do you enjoy a morning coffee or tea in bed? Too bad. There are no hot beverage facilities in the room. When I ventured down to the lobby to request hot water, the male receptionist grudgingly boiled some for me, making it very clear that my desire for warm hydration was ruining his day. While the female colleague who checked me in was lovely and welcoming, I had the terrible luck of dealing with this human dark cloud for the rest of my stay. Every single question felt like a personal insult to his time.
The cheap, budget-airline vibe of the room extends to the lobby café, which serves everything on disposable paper plates and cups. They also don't bother to cover their pastries, meaning the cakes are dried out and by the afternoon.
The location of the hotel is actually quite good, but unless you are traveling entirely alone and enjoy being glared at by hotel staff, a good location is simply not enough. Skip this one.

The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully maintained, with a very comfortable bed that ensured a great night’s sleep. The hotel’s facilities were excellent, and every area was well looked after.

GGuest UserAlthough it's a bit far from the old town of Bar, it's very close to the bus stop. It was super convenient as it only takes about 10 minutes to reach the city center by bus, or about 15 minutes if you walk.
It's a very comfortable hotel because it's so quiet. There's also a small supermarket just a 2-minute walk away that's open late, which was really handy.
The hotel itself is very clean, and the movie-themed rooms, breakfast area, and lobby were all really lovely.
The hotel staff were always smiling and kind. They were also very helpful when the Wi-Fi wasn't working, which I really appreciated.
I would definitely want to stay here again if I go to San Sebastian. Thank you very much.

BbaraoGuild**”BAD: Beware of the 'Upgrade'”**
Our priority when booking was the room size and budget, so we reserved a 32m² City View room.
At check-in, the hotel staff offered us an ”upgrade.” He said that for an additional €25 per day, we could ”upgrade,” so we agreed.
However, while the room did have a Sea View, the size was downgraded to just 21m². I told them that paying €25 to have a smaller room was a downgrade, but they insisted that the view had been upgraded.
I asked to be moved back to the room we originally booked, but the staff ignored my request for an entire day.
Let me ask you this: if you went to see a new landscape, and the view changed, how would you describe it? You wouldn’t say the landscape itself was ”upgraded,” would you? You’d say the view was different or better.
The following day, I finally got a response from the staff. They told me I’d need to pay an additional €70 per day if I wanted a 32m² Sea View room.
While the hotel facilities and scenery are excellent, the staff are focused entirely on business and seem to aim to squeeze every extra euro from their guests.
In the end, we ended up paying the €25.

The rooms were clean, and I'd definitely stay here again if I visit San Sebastian again.

GGabe goes globalBeautiful hotel, amazing facilities to work from, one of the best gyms that I’ve been to, it would have been so much more seamless if parking, gym etc were included in the price. Especially if the pool provided by the gym is not available, not having to pay for the gym one would make more sense
