"Great central location. Friendly receptionists. Superficially clean but dirty windows and other parts of the room. Bad not the most comfortable but decent. Disappointment was there was no free WiFi 🛜 except first 30 minutes. Except menu deal for 14£ and cafe nothing else offered. In the morning very loud with doors of the other rooms opening and closing."

The hotel itself was fine, aside from the lack of bottled water, luggage racks, and absolutely no toiletries – everything else was normal. However, their parking lot is a huge problem. Firstly, guests aren't told in advance that parking requires a reservation. Secondly, I'm not sure if their drop-off point is only for disabled people or what, but there's a 'no entry' sign at what looks like a drop-off entrance. Thirdly, even if you don't have a reservation and the car park is fully booked, the gate will still open. But if you don't pay 60 pounds, the car park attendant will make it difficult for you to leave, even if the hotel reception has already entered your license plate to give you 1 or 4 hours free and told you to move your car to an open-air car park about a 15-minute walk away. In the end, several guests were in the same situation, blocking the car park exit. The first guest had to go back to the hotel to grab a receptionist and bring them to the car park entrance to negotiate with the car park staff for half an hour before they finally opened the gate and let people leave.

Enjoyed our 1 night stay for work/pleasure. The hotel is in a great location 10mins walk from Piccadilly station and 5 mins to the well connected tram. We paid extra for the breakfast which was very nice, the breakfast staff are lovely and attentive with anything you need. The hotel and room was clean but the Tv remote was really dirty which was strange to miss such a detail. The young lady on check in (blonde) was really kind, helpful, friendly and patient since I was checking in alone with my toddler to start with whilst my husband worked. I got a complimentary birthday drink which was nice. The young lady on check out (black/dark hair) was not so friendly or patient, quite a stern attitude, did not smile or acknowledge us ever when passing in and out of reception. Our baby came down sick in the night and we were running 15-20mins behind the 11am checkout, settling and getting him ready so we called down with a heads up and she said no, not possible, the cleaners will be knocking on your door at 11am. It was just the handling of it and the manner.

Very nice hotel, clean and spacious rooms. We went into cloud 23 and two cocktails will cost you about £30, which were very well presented. The rooms have everything in you need, including an iron. A night here would make a great Christmas present. We had our dinner the ground floor bar area, that cost about £56 with a drink each included, are we both enjoyed it Holistically the staff were helpful. We will be returning in the future and would recommend it to others

There is a direct bus to hotel from airport and a bus stop at 10 mins away from hotel back to airport. The walls have no stains which is nice and the bathroom is clean and tidy but the bed linen has quite a lot of stains. Some dust also appeared on the pillow and it is actually hard to spot them because of the dim lighting. The water pump is also working fine. The staff are super friendly when I forgot to bring a plug and realised that there is no USB charge spot.

This was in the perfect location, staff were great and room facilities were fab!. I didn’t realise the hall light had a sensor and no off switch, so when I had the bedroom door open and turned over in bed, the light would come back on 😂 easily fixed by closing the door. It didn’t affect our stay and we would definitely be back…it’s a busy place, it’s in the city centre so to be expected. Yes there was a charge for parking but not overbearing. Only negative was that the curtains didn’t fit the full windows so light shining in made it difficult to sleep, bed was so comfy though 😴

The room is clean and comfortable, with lots of space to store luggage and stuff. I was quite surprised to see the coffee maker and refrigerator inside the room. The buffet breakfast is plentiful and the staff is friendly. The location is opposite to China Town with lots of nice restaurants for dinning. The only thing that could be improved is that room cleaning starts too early - at 9:00 am that I was woken up by the doorbell.

Not the easiest place to find, especially when you are flying in late at night. Whilst this is due largely to the Terminal 2 redevelopment the hotel needs to do more with its signage! As its name suggests it is a budget hotel, basic and very standardised. However clean and staff pleasant and efficient.

The hotel building boasts a grand and impressive Victorian exterior. Apparently, it opened in 1857, making it nearly 170 years old. Its location is superb, with a bus stop just over 100 meters away. As my friend put it, ”It's right in the absolute city center.” However, once inside the single room, the interior decor and amenities could only be described as simple. For instance, there's an approximately 28-inch Samsung TV mounted diagonally on the wall above a small desk, and the bathroom's rinse cup is inverted on the flat surface in front of the mirror, without even a tray or coaster underneath. The hotel restaurant is in the basement.

This hotel is in a great loacation, around a 10 minute walk from Oxford Road Station and about 15 from the gig we came to see. The lady at reception was very polite and friendly which made us feel welcome even though two young goths looked a bit out of place seeing as this was obviously a hotel for business people/confrences. The room was amazing for the price and beautifully clean, there was an iron and ironing board, a desk fan and a hairdryer already in the room. The bathroom was quite spacious and had perfect lighting. Even my fussy partner said the bed was very comfortable. Would absolutely reccomend and will definitely be staying again if I'm back in Manchester.

During my recent stay at this hotel, I found the overall experience to be enjoyable with top-quality fittings and furnishings. However, there were areas that required improvement. The hotel itself is pleasant, but enhancing the service and room cleaning would significantly improve the guest experience. A standard room was paid for but a disability-accessible room was provided. We requested to change it to a standard which was done immediately without any questions. No water bottles were provided in the room initially; they were only given on request and only two small bottles were provided. Additionally, the room cleaning service was unsatisfactory. Despite requesting it twice over 4 nights, the cleaner only changed the sheets once and neglected to take out the bins vacuum, replace towels or clean the bathroom. This was particularly disappointing given the length of my nearly week-long stay. The breakfast was beautifully presented with various options but unfortunately remained the same every day lacking any variation. Some areas were particularly poor. For instance, the scrambled eggs had a distinct smell and were overly watery. Adding tomatoes or simply varying the options every few days would have improved the experience. One concern we had was the cleaning team. Twice the cleaner used his universal card to enter our room without ensuring no one was present. My partner was in the shower and our young baby was asleep. We heard a knock but were unable to reach the door in time. Upon reaching it we realised he was already entering. This occurred twice and on the following day we decided to chain the door for privacy reasons. In other hotels we have stayed in, privacy is of the utmost concern for staff and they would never even risk opening someone’s locked door without making sure. A better system needs to be in place here.
