GGuest UserWell, the service at the hotel was excellent too. The hotel staff were always very friendly and helpful, they were always willing to answer my questions and provide useful advice. Also, the breakfast provided by the hotel was very delicious, varied and had different choices every day. The service at the restaurant is also very good, and the staff is always very thoughtful and welcoming.
The only downside is that the hotel is slightly more expensive, but I think the price is still very reasonable given the location and quality of service of the hotel. In short, I really like this hotel and I would definitely choose to stay again if I travel to this city again.
BBobstarrLovely staff and great hotel location for anyone that’s a bit more car centric.
Despite not using the on site facilities as much, the staff were lovely, friendly & helpful at any hour.
The room was spotlessly clean, and had decent basic amenities, but the room I stayed in was starting to look a little tired.
Decent value for money however, especially for the time of the year & a weekend.
GGuest UserThis hotel is beautiful and just a 35-minute drive from Highclere Castle. It has a real sense of history. The facilities are great, although there's no air conditioning and the room felt a bit stuffy, but that's just the way it is sometimes. The hotel is right next to a vast estate with beautiful lawns, flowers, and trees, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. I hope to come back again!
SStaceyI was a little bit disappointed staying at the Apollo hotel when I booked, i booked it for two adults and one child and when I got there there was only a double bed, they told me they would put in a single bed for me whilst I was out and when I got back to the hotel at 8:30pm there still wasn’t a bed they eventually at 10pm gave me a camp bed with springs missing for my four-year-old to sleep on I wasn’t happy, so in the end I ended up sleeping on the floor so my daughter could have the bed with her dad, it’s a real shame to see a hotel that I stayed in when I got married has gone downhill, there was a lot of dirty trays in the corridors on the way to the room, but on entrance of the hotel was beautiful,
GGuest UserNice hotel, warm winter and cool summer, no air conditioning (no air conditioning), the temperature difference between morning and evening is very big, pay attention to the increase of clothes, the town is very warm, it is too expensive to go to London train
Ssalaudin lunatWe stayed at Holiday Inn Fareham Solent. Fir this location a car would be ideal. There is a Shell Petrol Station not too far. All staff are friendly, always with a warm smiles. They offered me free parking. So if you do come by car don't forget to log vehicle registration details on the portal at the Front Desk (Check In). Breakfast was excellent choice of vegetarian or non vegetarian (healthy options available). Our room was on ground floor there was some draught coming through the window so I mentioned to the staff. Sadly the Jacuzzi was not working during our entire stay so (3 days). Lots of places to visit. I only gave 3 marks for amenities due to Jacuzzi not working. I highly recommend this hotel.
GGuest UserI have stayed here several times before as it is perfectly situated for those going on a cruise from Southampton. Clean room, friendly staff but room is ready for a refurbishment soon! Would have been nice to have been made aware that there was scaffolding outside the window (but I arrived after work had finished and left before anyone was there in the morning so not a problem). Breakfast was quite expensive for a continental one (IKEA next door had much better one and cheaper which I’ll use next time).
GGuest UserRoom was lovely with great air conditioning during heatwave. Swimming pool etc very nice. Reception area very comfortable. Had some problems at dinner but the Hotel Manager responded very well and made some recompense. This is the right way to deal with constructive criticism which I greatly appreciated.
