GGuest UserBrilliant hotel for business trips, with clean rooms, wonderfully comfortable beds and great showers.
The staff are super polite and welcoming.
The hotel carpark is small with space for around 20 cars but there is use of the municiple car park next to it.
It is within a 10-12 minute walk to supermarkets, restuarants and takeaways.
Overall a great stay.

GGuest UserWe (family of 5) stayed in the family room as we had an early flight from Stansted in the morning. We emailed Julie with our arrival time and she had everything prepared for us including an additional camping bed in the room. We were greeted warmly and showed around our and the breakfast room. Julie even went as far to place boy/girl napkins on the table for us which was very sweet. The room itself was lovely - large enough for 5 of us and our luggage. Beds were comfy and we had good hot water and biscuits/hot drinks. The location is perfect for Stansted, it took us less than ten minutes to get to the Mid Stay car park but note that if you're in the Long Stay it's a longer journey. Another advantage is that they will let you park your car on-site for a small fee, and you can then taxi to and from the airport which is only a few minutes (we will definitely do this next time as it's considerably cheaper than the airport car parks). Breakfast was amazing - since we left early we weren't that hungry but they had a huge variety of cereals, bread/crumpets, yoghurts, drinks, cereal bars, cheese, fruit ... the list goes on. Price was also very affordable especially for larger families as we could book a single room vs. having to book two (most places are max. occupancy of four). Many thanks and hope to see you soon!

GGuest UserWe booked at The Ridings for 1 night 29th August. The location is stunning and very quiet surroundings, however, we were a little disappointed that the Hotel is under going refurbishment and we were not informed. Upon entering the hotel there was no carpet on the floors and was just bare but the floors were in bad condition and also the ceiling was taken down exposing all the pipework metal tubing and wires. It just did not give the luxury feel. In the room it was clean and tidy but the carpet was straw carpet and did not have a nice feel following a shower. It took an age to figure out how the lights worked in the room. There was no telephone and the radio was a transistor radio. We booked bed and breakfast but when we went to the restaurant we were told that we had not paid and as we were not on their list. I obviously explained that we did pay and they contacted reception who told them we had paid. Unfortunately, we felt a little embarrassed as there were other people behind us. It was not until we read the leaflet inside the room that told us it was under refurbishment. I do feel this is something that should be pointed out in the very beginning. Overall, the location is amazing, staff friendly, breakfast was good but the hotel i feel let it down. After all it was cheap for the night.

DDylan & MickyThe room was clean and comfortably warm throughout our stay, and the stay was excellent value for money. What truly made the experience stand out was the service; every member of the front desk staff we encountered was kind, welcoming, and always smiling. They were genuinely helpful with every request we had.
While the location and amenities are fairly basic/average, the exceptional hospitality and cleanliness make this a solid choice for couples looking for a reliable stay.

GGuest UserHotel was nice great location for the purpose of our stay and ticked a lot of boxes. Girl on the front desk Evie was super friendly and helpful and seemed to be always there if needed. Breakfast nice rooms clean and did the job and the bar was nice and comfy, the only downside was when you went outside for a drink you had to then walk all the way round through reception to get back to the bar which was a Pain but not then end of the world.

KKrameraFantastic stay, very clean & comfortable hotel. Staff were super friendly & helpful. Apsley train station directly opposite the hotel, easy direct access to London city centre, lots of amenities, supermarkets & nice pubs nearby. Would definitely recommend & will be staying again for sure.

GGuest UserFor an overnight stop the hotel suited us just fine and the price suited our budget just fine.
Taking the above 'measures' one at a time: Location: this really depends on the purpose of a travellers trip. For us it was ideal, just ia mere 10km south of where we need to be by 09.00 the next morning. Having said that, a description that it is located in a Motorway service area, at the most remote position would have helped. Our arrival was considerably hampered by direction from the A1M, some construction works, poor lighting and road markings around the parking area. It is worth noting that a car parking fee applies. Cleanliness: No complaints on this score. The bathroom arrangements are showing their age, but everything worked just fine. Servie: Check-in was straightforward with a very pleasant receptionist doing his best to make our arrival flawless. Facilities: The lack of hotel parking caught ne off-guard. You need to park in the public parking area of the Service Area. See also my comment on the bathrooms above.

AAnonymous UserEverything was lovely but the staff were not very friendly and we were not informed about the £200 pound deposit we needed to put down or that we would be locked out of our room at 11am
Would definitely stay again, but it would have been nice to have a tiny bit more info and customer service

PPlayful+JoyfulThe hotel staff said that he couldnt find my booking although I provided my booking reference and voucher and request 15 pounds for Early check in and charged my account 51 pounds in total. Although I kept saying I booked via Trip.com and paid while I booked the hotel online. It was a prepaid booking. I am so disappointed that the hotel sent me the invoice & receipt on 14 March but I was told I would get the balance of receipt and I would be charged the early check in fee 15 pounds only, the accommodation fee after I checked out at 12pm on March 15. On March 15, when I was checking out, I checked with another staff who was on duty, he said the hotel didn’t charge my card, but the agency card, it was acceptable. Unfortunately, on my bank statement I found that the hotel charged my card for all. And it was really disappointed because they didnt really dealed with my questions and my situation. I did double pay for the accommodation to Trip. Com and the Primier Inn Richmanworth.

NNizar DahirGood hotel, nice location, room size is a bit small for a family, but all in all it’s a good adorable place to stay in near Stansted airport. I would book again if I need a hotel in this area
