I recently stayed at the Sheraton Maria Isabel in Mexico City, and overall, it was a good experience. The best thing about this hotel is definitely the location—it’s right on Reforma Avenue, next to the U.S. Embassy, so it felt very safe even though there were some peaceful demonstrations happening nearby related to rent increases and the current situation in Mexico. The room was spacious and comfortable, but it did feel a bit old and outdated. The bathroom floor had some cracks, which wasn’t a big issue but worth mentioning. It could definitely use some renovation in the future. On the bright side, the breakfast was really nice. Good variety, fresh options, and great service. If you care about being in a central, secure area with decent amenities, this hotel is a solid choice—just don’t expect a modern, freshly renovated space.

The hotel is in a good location, the staff are generally friendly, the facilities are average, and the price is reasonable. Things to note: [1] Choose a room facing Liverpool Street. Otherwise, the sound from the nearby bar is deafening and you won't be able to fall asleep until 4 a.m. [2] The staff basically only speaks Spanish. Bring a translator. Otherwise, it will be impossible to communicate.

I really appreciated how functional the room was and how comfortable the bed was, but the absolute best part was the location. Even though it's at an intersection, there's a convenience store on every corner. The hotel staff were also super helpful in recommending delicious local restaurants; you can find all sorts of great food options around here. The staff were really welcoming and friendly too.

The location of the Youth Hostel 🏨 is excellent. Located in the center of the city center. Don't be too convenient to go to the surrounding museums! Breakfast is included from 8 am to 10 am. At my request, I arranged a lower bunk bed for me. Luggage can be stored for free at the front desk. Nice hotel in a great location in Mexico City. I appreciated the complementary breakfast. Clean towels every day. Only downside is that the walls are a bit thin, it may be advisable to bring earplugs as you can hear your neighbours
