An exceptional stay from start to finish. Perhentian Marriott Resort & Spa exceeded my expectations in every respect. The resort is beautiful, well maintained and situated in a stunning location. The room was spacious, comfortable and thoughtfully designed. What truly sets this property apart, however, is its people. Every member of staff I encountered was warm, courteous, professional and genuinely helpful. It was obvious that the team has been exceptionally well trained and takes pride in delivering excellent guest experiences. The food was consistently good, with a wide selection and quality that complemented the overall stay. As a frequent traveller , I can confidently say that the service culture at this resort stands out. My stay was relaxing, seamless and memorable. Highly recommended, and I look forward to returning. Just a note, in order to get to the 2 beaches, there are stairs and as such, you need to be fit!!! The beaches are pristine , sapphire coloured waters and one could snorkel here. It's beautiful.

Great service by all staff GREAT breakfast - variety spread of buffet breakfast and taste nice too Nice ambience and beautiful landscaping - I particularly like the wooden concrete bench - looks estatique.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A perfect stay – highly recommend! The private beach right in front of the resort offers exceptional snorkeling, just a few steps away. From my room, the view of the sea and palm trees was simply splendid. I loved the authentic atmosphere with monitor lizards peacefully roaming the pathways, and the ease of hopping from one beach to another. The customer service was incredibly kind and helpful with booking activities and boat taxis – impeccable organization. Truly a favorite!

One of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had! I requested a room with a view of the Kuala Terengganu Drawbridge, and they actually managed to fulfill my request. The view from the room was absolutely amazing and made our stay even more memorable. I really appreciate the hotel staff for making the extra effort to accommodate my request. Such a wonderful experience, and I would definitely love to stay here again!

Overall, the stay was quite pleasant and excellent value for money at this price point. The room was spacious and comfortable, the environment was nice, and basic amenities were all there. For a one-night stay, I was generally very satisfied. The only minor downside was that the room's cleanliness could be improved; some areas felt like they weren't thoroughly cleaned. If the cleaning could be enhanced, the overall experience would be even better. Considering the price, environment, and facilities, it's still great value for money and highly recommended! 👍 You can park your car right at the entrance!

Newly renovated hotel, clean and comfortable. Outdoor carpark is behind the hotel with daily charge of RM2.20. Our room is unfortunately next to the main road and thus traffic noise was unbearable. The newly renovated wall fixture next to the bed is having a sharp metal corner ie a potential safety issue that must be rectified to prevent injury (see photo)

On the positives: Excellent beach with crystal clear water and sand. The resort offers very good food for reasonable price. Polite staff. Negatives: The running water is dirty which can be sort of expected since it’s an island but overall we found the cleaning substandard. All the furniture from the sun beds, to chairs to your own bed were highly uncomfortable, we did not have a single night of proper sleep because of that.

Location is walking distance to Masjid Abidin and also to Mayang Mall. If your room get to face Jalan Dato Isaac, you will be able to see the draw bridge. Parking space a bit limited and the signage to reverse park indicates very tight space when parking space gets filled up. Simple breakfast of local delicacies. I got the day they serve nasi dagang. If you stay for 3 nights then you will be able to taste nasi minyak and nasi lemak. There are other breakfast spread too ie fried mee, toast bread, salad and others.

Aged establishment. Cleanliness maintained. Limited breakfast food choices and basic quality. I will try nearby villa and homestays instead as they seem new. Actually i didn’t know that there are still limited chargter to Islands after 3pm so no need a night stay.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a really great stay at Awana Kijal! Overall memang sangat best dan selesa. Semua staff sangat friendly dan helpful, especially staff yang jaga entrance untuk breakfast — memang ramah dan welcoming. 🥰 Staff yang handle aktiviti lepaskan anak penyu pun sangat friendly dan baik dengan anak-anak. 🐢❤️ Really appreciate the hospitality sepanjang kami stay. Definitely a memorable experience and would love to come back again! ✨
