During the workshop, Janina will provide a quick overview of the tools and materials involved, as well as demonstrate various mark making techniques. Participants will have the chance to explore printing with natural items such as leaves, grasses, and feathers, as well as learn how to create and use nature-themed stencils and masks.
To ensure a successful workshop experience, participants are requested to bring an apron, gel plate, acrylic paint in a variety of colors, assorted A4 paper, a roller, leaves and grasses from the garden, pencils, tools for cutting out stencils, baby wipes, kitchen towel, and scrap paper. Optional items include nature-related images for stencil-making and any previous gel plate prints for further experimentation.

Middlesex Cricket is excited to announce the resumption of the Chance To Compete Secondary School Softball Competition for U13 and U15 girls. This competition, in collaboration with Chance To Shine, aims to provide all secondary schools with the opportunity to participate in a local cricket softball tournament, as part of cricket’s competition framework. Thanks to the support of Chance To Shine, Middlesex has been able to expand the competition and offer more playing opportunities to young individuals. The U15 Girls Chance To Compete Softball Competition will be held at Eastcote Cricket Club in Pinner on May 9, 2024. The event will provide a platform for girls to showcase their skills and sportsmanship in a friendly and competitive environment. Middlesex Cricket will handle the umpiring responsibilities, so teachers can simply focus on supporting and cheering for their students. In the case of inclement weather, the decision to cancel the event will be communicated no later than 8am on the day of the competition. Participants are advised to bring a packed lunch and beverages as there may be limited availability of food and drinks on site.
