Children in Leeds can now learn to ride a bike through our Beginners Learn to Ride sessions. These fun and relaxed lessons are perfect for children who want to ride their bike without stabilisers. Designed for those who can't ride at all or are still wobbly when riding without support, these sessions are open to children aged five and older. To ensure personalized attention, group sizes are kept small, with a maximum of three children per instructor. Please note that these sessions are only available to Leeds residents and a Leeds postcode will be required for booking. Participants are welcome to bring their own pedal bike without stabilisers, but we also provide helmets, balance bikes, and spare bikes. Parents do not need to accompany their children during the lesson, as we find that children often make better progress without parental support. Sessions are one hour long and take place at Carr Manor Community School in Leeds. All of our sessions are led by fully qualified and experienced cycling instructors who adhere to National Standards. We have received positive feedback from previous participants, with parents expressing gratitude for the patience, encouragement, and positive attitude of our instructors.
