The Arts Council National Lottery Project Grants Museums Roadshow: Yorkshire is an informative event aimed at Museums in the Yorkshire region who are interested in applying for funding through the Arts Council England's National Lottery Project Grants. This workshop aims to provide guidance on the application process, offer tips on strengthening project ideas, and answer any questions attendees may have. The event will also focus on the Unlocking Collections priority within Project Grants.
The morning session will consist of a presentation introducing the funding programme, as well as a case study from the region that will provide insights into the application process. Following a refreshment break, there will be a workshop led by an Arts Council Museums Relationship Manager. This workshop will cover what constitutes a good idea for a museum project and what makes a strong project grant application. Collaborative working, partnership funding, and support will also be discussed.
In the afternoon, delegates will have the opportunity to sign up for 20-minute one-to-one sessions with a Museum Relationship Manager. These sessions will be available on a first come, first served basis.
The event will take place at Leeds City Museum in Millennium Square, Leeds. Tea and coffee will be available from 10.00, with the morning session starting at 10.30. The advice giving session will conclude by 1pm, and the optional one-to-one sessions will be held between 2pm - 4pm. The event is wheelchair accessible, will have BSL interpretation, and all videos will be captioned.
