Le Guin's novel The Dispossessed, Y7 trained a GPT-3 model to construct three captivating chapters that follow the protagonist, Shevek, on his anthropological-geographical journey across three different planets. To visually illustrate the film, Y7 utilized innovative text-to-image and text-to-video tools from Midjourney and Runway. The immersive experience is enhanced by a dynamic soundtrack, featuring a fusion of raw audio neural networks, text-to-audio AI tools, and sounds from Y7's previous audio research. Thanks to Elevenlabs, a New York-based AI company specializing in text-to-speech voice cloning tools, Report 5923 is narrated with cutting-edge technology. Y7, composed of the talented duo Hannah Cobb and Declan Colquitt, are renowned for their use of AI in audio-visual works and their thought-provoking cultural criticism. They have recently contributed to publications such as Flash Art and The Modernist, shedding light on emerging social trends and critically examining the impact of AI.
