The location is superb, very close to West Street, making shopping, dining, and getting around incredibly convenient. The self-service washing machine is very practical, and the room is quiet and clean. The breakfast is also plentiful, and the service is excellent. Staying here made our trip worry-free and comfortable. My family was very satisfied, and we'll definitely stay here again next time.

We stayed at New West Street International Hotel for total of 10 nights as we accompanied our child at a nearby Chinese school in the summer. This extended time gave us the opportunity to really got to experience the hotel facilities, the food, and the service.  First the location. The actual location is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the actual West Street. To us, the distance is actually a good thing. Food, shops, and amenities at West Street are overly tailored for tourists. The hotel location is quiet and peaceful. Nearby are many local restaurants and shops that we much preferred. In fact, we found ourselves walking away from the West Street direction to get some great local foods everyday of our stay. That said, the hotel offers an excellent shuttle service beginning at 3:30pm until late at night if that's what you are into.  Second, the hotel building itself is in excellent condition. It appears many of the facilities and rooms were recently renovated. The lobby is open and airy and makes a comfortable gathering spot for us to meet our friends before heading out. The hotel sometimes accommodates tour groups. Even when we see as many as three tour buses parked in the back, the hotel does not feel congested nor noisy. The room itself is tastefully updated with a large flat screen TV, USB-C chargers, and automated curtains. The beds were comfortable and our balcony room faced a beautiful karst mountain and a nearby pond. The room appears to have great noisy insulation. We did not hear our neighbors like we did in other Chinese hotels. Third, the place is always clean. We see staff cleaning public areas all the time, wiping down handrails, elevator buttons, countertops. etc. As for our room, the home keeper always kept it clean and orderly. We had some problems with smell the first day. A housekeeper came and troubleshoot the problem to durian smell in the mini-fridge. Not only did she wipe it down, but even without us asking, the later came back with another mini-fridge to make sure no smell was left. That really made an impression on us. Next, the staff. Everyone we encountered was always friendly and greeted us. From the cleaning staff to the front desk reception to the restaurant waiters. Everyone was friendly. We can only speak limited mandarin but the staff still talked to us best they could in English. Rachel, the manager on site, was especially friendly to make sure we got everything we needed. She understands we were staying for an extended period of time so she was always asking what can be improved for our long stay. The hotel added us to WeChat where they respond quickly to all the typical requests like room service to sending us extra water. I wish more hotels do this.  Finally, the facilities. We used the laundry room daily. There are 5 washers and 3 dryers by my count. Most of the time, I can find an empty machine to wash my laundry. Mornings are best for doing laundry. After dinner time is the busiest time. We occasionally had to take out other people's laundry that were just sitting there but it's rare. The pool is large, warm, and clean. The shallow end is perfect for kids or just wading around. The deep end is 1.7M deep so it's plenty for actual swimming. We also used the on-site travel agent to book a private transfer to the Guilin high speed station. Rachel happened to be nearby when we did this and she helped with some translation with the agent and it was very appreciated. The restaurant was large and there was always space for us to sit even when there are large tour groups. It offers mainly Chinese options but also have some Western items. Food was abundant and delicious. The Guilin rice noodles in the back is tasty and the broth is excellent. The only thing is the coffee could be a little bit better! We loved our stay at the New West Street International Hotel and would not hesitate to go back next time we visit Yangshuo.

This was my second stay at LS Guilin, once again, the hotel exceeded my expectations. It is truly one of the most beautiful and well-managed hotels I have stayed, and what makes the experience even more special is the exceptional team behind it. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, exceptionally clean and simply wonderful. Its location is fantastic, right in one of the best areas of Yangshuo, making it an ideal base for exploring the area while still providing a peaceful and luxurious environment to return to. The breakfast is excellent, with a wonderful selection, and the afternoon tea is another lovely touch that adds to the overall experience. Victoria and Icey continue to deliver outstanding service. Their attention to detail, professionalism and genuine warmth make such a difference. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of and that my stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. It is wonderful to return to a hotel and find the same exceptional level of service. I would also like to give special recognition to Ms. Jin, who helped me with my luggage and personally delivered my wine. She was always incredibly warm, friendly and welcoming. Her kindness and positive attitude made every interaction such a pleasure. Sweet girl! A big thank you as well to Ms. Rosie, who surprised me with a lovely gift during check-out. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a beautiful way to end my stay. She’s so lovely and always smiling. And I cannot forget Chocolate, the photographer! 📸 She was absolutely brilliant. She took some of the best photos for me and was incredibly patient, creative and helpful throughout the whole photoshoot. She made the experience so much fun and captured the hotel and the surrounding scenery beautifully. Mr. Kaysen also deserves a special mention. He was incredibly helpful when I needed assistance purchasing wine and went out of his way to make everything easy and convenient. His helpfulness and willingness to assist were greatly appreciated. The drivers and golf-cart team were also excellent — always friendly, punctual and professional, with clean and comfortable cars and golf carts. Their service made getting around the property and surrounding areas effortless. After staying here for the second time, I can confidently say that LS Guilin Yangshuo has become one of my favourite hotels in Yangshuo. The combination of the beautiful property, exceptional cleanliness, fantastic location, excellent food and, most importantly, the genuinely caring staff makes this hotel truly special. A huge thank you to the entire team, especially Ms Victoria, Ms Icey, Ms. Jin, Ms. Rosie, Mr. Kaysen, Ms Chocolate and the wonderful drivers and golf-cart team. Your hospitality made my second stay just as memorable as the first. I look forward to returning again and highly recommend LS Guilin Yangshuo to anyone visiting Yangshuo.

This hotel is nestled within the grounds of the Ronghu Hotel, boasting a fantastic environment. There's a small gate nearby that leads to Ronghu Park, offering beautiful scenery without the crowds. The hotel itself is stunning and distinctive. The lobby features what appear to be genuine antique furniture pieces. The vintage lamps, metal rotary phone, velvet sofa and curtains, and even the room doors all exude a strong Republic of China era ambiance – opulent and luxurious. Indeed, it does show some signs of age; it's not going to have smart controls for lights and curtains like a newly opened hotel. The wooden door isn't as smooth, some floorboards are slightly warped, and the gap between the shower and bathtub isn't perfectly cleanable. However, I still believe this hotel is worth staying at, which is why I extended my stay after the first night. The front desk staff were warm and friendly, helping me upgrade to a suite. When I couldn't find the laundry room, they personally showed me the way. You can also add them on WeChat for any inquiries. The hotel has a limited number of rooms, so breakfast isn't exceptionally lavish, but with various porridges, pastries, vegetables, fruits, freshly ground coffee, milk, yogurt, soy milk, juice, bacon, sausages, small pastries, and freshly cooked rice noodles, it's actually more than enough. This breakfast restaurant also serves as an afternoon tea spot, with balcony seating offering direct views of Ronghu Lake. There's also another coffee shop with a great atmosphere, attracting many young women for photo opportunities.

I was quite disappointed when I first arrived at Chengyang Eight Villages. It was a Friday, and I was told there was no 'Baijia Banquet' (Hundred Family Feast). Plus, besides us, there were no other tourists in the scenic area. I thought this trip would be incredibly boring and dull. Coming with a group of friends, I wasn't sure what we could even do, and I didn't want to spend more money on tickets for a bonfire party. The owner of the guesthouse, Mr. Yang, recommended we book a farmhouse bonfire party. We could eat at a Dong family's home with local performances and toasts, costing about 100-200 yuan per person. Alternatively, we could eat at the guesthouse and have locals come perform, which would be cheaper. We decided to eat at the guesthouse at 7:30 pm. After exploring three villages, it was perfect timing for dinner. The Dong sisters were already waiting for us, serving us with great enthusiasm and politeness. Everyone ate and drank to their heart's content that evening. (The guesthouse food is all homemade by the landlady, with very fresh and delicious ingredients, and the liquor is also excellent – you can try it first). We had a wonderful time with the Dong sisters; we really bonded! Their singing is truly beautiful and captivating. Even my usually reserved husband was swept up in the fun! My friend asked if we could dance, and they taught us their traditional dances. The guesthouse rooms are spacious. We rented a twin room and a triple room (which was huge!). Our room had a view of the bridge. The guesthouse is located in Yan Village, very close to the other two villages and the Yongji Bridge (which has a very interesting and fun welcoming ceremony). My husband drank too much and managed to clog the basin, but the owner wasn't upset and unclogged it for him. The facilities in local guesthouses aren't as modern as city hotels, after all, we were staying in an ancient building. I found the room very clean, the bathroom had everything needed, and the towels had no strange odors. The landlady also suggested we go for a traditional ethnic costume photoshoot the next morning, costing 50 yuan per person (outfit + makeup) or 30 yuan without makeup. The young lady at the ethnic costume shop was very professional and patient. There were many costume choices, and the materials were excellent. Everyone looked beautiful, and many people on the street kept taking photos with us. Finally, my friends all had a wonderful time and were happy with their purchases. The owners also gave us discounts on souvenirs and tea (we got to sample the tea, and the recommended ones were delicious). The next day, the same Dong sisters who came last night served us lunch, and we had another delightful meal. The landlady also helped us find a 7-seater car to take our group of five to the high-speed train station (for 80 yuan). What I initially thought would be a dull trip turned out to be the most enjoyable and relaxing part of our 7 days in Guangxi (including Yangshuo and the rice terraces)! **Previously, due to other reviews, I had doubts about the landlady's cooking! After the landlady's repeated assurances, we decided to try the first lunch. To my surprise, the ingredients were incredibly high-quality. Even my friend who dislikes eggplant ate a lot, and I, who doesn't eat potatoes, ate quite a bit. The meat was so delicious that we ordered ribs for every meal! Although the beef wasn't tender, it was very fragrant and fresh! We just weren't used to the cured meat, and the luosifen (snail noodles) could be skipped. The landlady seasoned everything perfectly; we didn't feel thirsty afterward, and the flavors suited both our Malaysian and British palates. Consequently, we ended up having three more meals at the guesthouse.

Staying at the Xi Shi Jin She Hotel was an incredibly healing experience amidst the beautiful landscapes of Yangshuo. The hotel is located right by the Yulong River, and with the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, you're greeted by stunning karst peaks, with bamboo rafts slowly gliding by on the river – it feels like living inside a traditional Chinese ink painting. The room was clean and tidy, the toiletries were of excellent quality, and the facilities were exquisite and comprehensive. The butler service was attentive and thoughtful, and the authentic Guilin rice noodles for breakfast were fresh and delicious. The rooftop infinity pool offered amazing photo opportunities. It's also super convenient for visiting the Ten-Mile Gallery. This is definitely my top choice for a stay in Yangshuo, a perfect experience!

Get this hotel!!! We were supposed to stay for a night and then decide what to do - we ended up staying 3 nights and were very sad to leave. Every so often when you travel your hotel experience significantly improved your holiday - this was one of those cases! First of all the basics, we were looking for a nice family friendly hotel walking distance from the beach - and this certainly fit that category. The rooms are fine, you could see the sea from the windows, comfortable beds, pretty clean, slippers, plenty of towels, wifi everywhere etc. There was also a small playground for small kids and hammocks (picture) etc which was cool, we also saw mahjong tables, but didn't have the time to play. The hotel is located near a fairly large field, filled with exotic birds, butterflies and crickets etc. There were also geckos everywhere (love them), but we didn't see any inside the room. There were some mosquitos outside on the terrace (don't love them), but the repellent took care of those and we didn't have any in our rooms. Felt like you were near nature, in a good way. The kids loved to play on the beach, it's great for sand castles (the hotel had buckets and shovels free of charge) and searching for crabs, fish, shells, sea snails etc... The moms loved it too, especially to walk around and explore during low tide. (the hotel also provided equipment to catch crabs and other sea creatures etc if you wanted to - they also had a service to cook them for you) We especially enjoyed playing under a nearby pier during low tide to avoid getting badly sunburned. The supermarket across the street sell dozens of single malt whiskys and beer from all over the world (they also have ice cream and other stuff) - and the dads recommend the roof terrace for that after the kids are asleep. (picture) If you know how to ride a scooter/ebike they rent them across the road too, and it's the best way to explore the island. The small roads (almost devoid of cars) were awesome to drive on, just remember to stay safe. I don't usually care much about breakfast, but the included breakfast was great! (picture) The kitchen staff was also super laid-back about the whole thing - this whole hotel radiated a very laid back tropical island feel that made you forget you were in China. However the reason I write this review is because of the owner. (last picture) (I'm not sure if he speaks English though, but I'm sure you'll manage) Super chill guy! Immediately after booking he contacted us to arrange the transport from the boat. He helped us buy tickets for the trip back. He was willing to come and pick us up at any time if we got lost on the island. He had great recommendations about basically everything, and whenever we made plans we were sure to ask for his advice. He was basically always reachable over wechat too. These are just some of the things that he didn't have to provide, but did (or offered): unlimited cold drinking water, ice, proper glasses, a coffee grinder, buckets, shovels, hats, umbrellas, sunscreen, aloe vera plants, flashlights, mosquito repellent etc etc and it feels like we only scratched the surface. It feels like whenever I asked him for something he always had a solution that exceeded my expectations. Great host! I've traveled to almost 100 countries and while this wasn't the fanciest hotel I've stayed in by any means, this was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I've ever had. If anyone I know plans to visit this island I will for sure recommend this place.

A wonderful family hotel with spacious rooms, a pool and a very peaceful atmosphere. We stayed here as a family with children and really enjoyed our time. In Yangshuo, many hotels have beautiful mountain views, but this hotel stands out because it is not only scenic, but also very quiet, peaceful and comfortable inside. For us, this was a huge advantage. This is a warm family-style hotel where you feel that the owners truly care about every guest. The hostess was always nearby and personally paid attention to the quality of service. The staff were very friendly, polite and always ready to help. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Housekeeping was done on time, and everything felt well maintained. For this level of room, the price was very reasonable, which makes the hotel a very good value for money. Another big plus is the swimming pool. For a family trip, especially with children, having a pool at the hotel is a real advantage compared with many other hotels in the area. One of the nicest details was the afternoon tea with sweets — it made the stay feel even more welcoming and personal. The atmosphere of the hotel is calm and relaxing, which is exactly what you need in the mountains. The garden, the views, the fresh air and the peaceful environment helped us rest properly. The night before, we stayed in another hotel where it was noisy and uncomfortable because of construction nearby, so here we especially appreciated the silence, cleanliness and comfort. We finally had a proper rest. This hotel is a great choice for families, for people travelling with children, and for anyone who wants a quiet and cozy place surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. We left with very warm impressions and would be happy to come back again. Highly recommended.

I visited Guilin and Liuzhou with a friend for five days, and this was by far the most comfortable hotel we stayed in. **Check-in:** Because I have trouble sleeping, I made a special request for a non-smoking, quiet room. The front desk confirmed my preferences, and I was lucky enough to get a room upgrade, haha! After check-in, they escorted us to our room, explaining everything, and proactively helped with our luggage. Every staff member we passed greeted us, and any requests for items were handled promptly. **Room:** The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. The bed was super big; my friend immediately flopped onto it and rolled around as soon as we entered. The bedding was clean and comfortable, and the pillows came in both soft and firm options. There was also a firm throw pillow that came in handy when I was lying in bed choosing photos. Outside the window, a large banyan tree blocked most of the street, and the sunlight filtering through looked quite beautiful. The air conditioning allowed for adjustable fan speed, which was a blessing for a sound-sensitive person like me when set to the lowest speed at night. **Facilities:** There's a laundry room with a dryer, and the room even had a laundry hamper (very practical, many hotels only provide a laundry bag and don't consider this). The top floor has a swimming pool and the breakfast restaurant. We went to the pool around 9 PM when no one else was there and had some fun. It has shallow and deep sections, reaching about calf and thigh height, so it's not too deep. There were lounge chairs nearby, very chill. Breakfast was also very relaxed. Highly recommended!

Yangshuo Scenery Family Hotel ✨ Enjoying the Yulong River Landscape from Your Bed Stumbled upon a hidden gem of a family hotel in Yangshuo while traveling with the kids. The location is absolutely amazing, with layered mountain views to the left and direct access to the Yulong River on the right – the natural scenery is just breathtaking. The first floor has an indoor children's play area and a huge lawn, so much fun that the kids didn't want to leave. The infinity pool on the second floor is perfect for kids to splash around and play, totally enhancing the vacation vibe. The rooftop observation deck is incredibly photogenic! Sipping afternoon tea with a breeze, you can take some truly beautiful photos here. Breakfast was rich in variety and delicious; the kids ate their fill. The staff were super friendly towards children, service gets full marks.
