Guest UserThe room and bathroom was clean and wide.
There was heating in the room, Netflix, amenities for comfortable stay.
As I saw, there is a free breakfast in the morning for the guests (except Mondays), so I couldn’t try it but I was absolutely satisfied with the room.

Guest UserThe check-in experience was disappointing. The front desk receptionist was rude, unfriendly, and impatient. As tourists who are not familiar with public transport online ticketing, we needed assistance, but the staff was not helpful. Better customer service and support for international guests are needed.

Guest UserI had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly kind, professional, and helpful. I accidentally left my phone in a taxi, and the hotel team responded very quickly and did everything they could to help me get it back. I truly appreciate their excellent service and support.
The hotel environment was pleasant, the room was clean and comfortable, and everything was well maintained. I felt very relaxed throughout my stay.
Thank you for the great hospitality. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to others.
I will definitely come back on my next trip and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

It is in a great location, literally in front of the beach.
There is a self check-in available at the front desk, but for some reason it didn’t work so ended up talking to the reception staff anyway, which is okay.
While the main features of the room were clean (bedding, bathroom…), the air con unit was completely black with mould inside. Unfortunately I have some mould allergies, and so I had some reactions overnight.
The room also had some strange marks on the wall.. I think that the quality of the room looks better in the photos than the reality…
While I did book this place a little bit last minute (a few weeks in advance, but during peak time), it was overpriced for what it was (150,000₩ per night with a coupon).
It’s certainly not the worst place in the world, but I probably wouldn’t stay again if I had to choose.

Guest UserOverall, it was a fairly standard stay, saved by the brand reputation and great location, but the value for money was low. 2400 a night for a five-star hotel was indeed a bit pricey. I chose it because it's under the Banyan Tree brand, and there's a lot of hype about it on Xiao Hong Shu (Redbook), but the actual stay wasn't great.
The front desk is on the second floor, and check-in was smooth. The staff's English was decent, and they spoke a little Chinese, though there weren't many Chinese guests there anyway.
The room wasn't very big. The mattress firmness and size were reasonable, and the windows were floor-to-ceiling. The downside was that they couldn't be opened, so ventilation relied entirely on the air conditioning. Upon entering, there was a noticeable smell of fresh paint.
Room service ended at 9 PM. The infinity pool is on the 21st floor, which seems to be the hotel's main selling point. Hmm... the good thing is the water quality is excellent, but the water temperature was too high. It would probably be great in winter. The pool isn't very large, and there's also a warm pool next to it. The lounge chairs were packed very tightly, probably mostly for sunbathing, and the flow of traffic felt a bit congested. Usage hours were from 8 AM to 12 PM. According to Korean law, children are not allowed in after 8 PM, which is pretty standard across Korea.
Next, the worst part of the experience: the soundproofing was terrible. I could clearly hear guests walking and talking in the next room. We were woken up in the middle of the night after falling asleep, and it took two calls to the front desk and about 30 minutes for someone to come and speak to them. The room environment and service level truly don't match the brand and price!
I hope they can improve, which is why I've offered these suggestions.

Jae-Nam SonOverall, there was no inconvenience in using it. However, since cooking is not allowed, it was harder than expected to have to go down to the first floor to get food delivered. Of course, I understand that delivery people cannot use the elevator for security reasons, but there were inconveniences such as drinking and being drunk and having to wear comfortable clothes and then going down again wearing clothes.

B__WWe got the Deluxe Family Bunker, which had a bed and a bunk bed - perfect for a family of four! The hotel is new and super clean, and the room was well-stocked. We were surprised to find a kitchenette in the room - including a washing machine. There was no laundry detergent or dryer, but it works great for doing a few essential clothes. There are at least three convenience stores and multiple restaurants in easy walking distance of the property. We liked the hotel so much, we decided to return a couple nights later after changing our plans.

Guest UserI am satisfied.
1. Location - It is adjacent to the beach and offers easy access to the beach and harbor, making it great for surfing, swimming, and fishing. Food is also available at the restaurant on the 1st floor and the cafe on the 20th floor, and the food is delicious.
2. Service - Even though I made unreasonable requests due to my frequent use of towels, they tried their best to accommodate me.
3. Room - It is clean and the facilities are good, but it would be nice to have at least one vanity mirror.
The uploaded photo is the ocean view taken from the room.

This hotel completely exceeded my expectations! The room was spotless, and the sea was right outside – I could even see it from my balcony, which was beautiful. In the evening, we could go down to set off fireworks. If I come to Gangneung again, I'll definitely stay here!

My mom and I booked Kensington Hotel Pyeongchang for our first night in Pyeongchang during our trip to Gangwon-do.
From the moment we checked in, the staff's friendliness was truly impressive. It was our first visit, and the hotel made a fantastic first impression! Every staff member we encountered, whether in the lobby or the cafe, was incredibly kind and helpful.
The room and bedding were impeccably clean, allowing us to rest comfortably. The bathroom was also spotless, and the water pressure for the shower was excellent.
The garden was beautifully maintained, so even though we were tired after visiting Daegwallyeong Ranch and Odaesan Mountain, we still took the time to explore it. The garden is quite spacious and perfect for a leisurely stroll.
We also noticed the swimming pool. Although we didn't use it, it looked like a great spot for kids to play.
If I visit Pyeongchang again, I'd definitely choose this hotel!
