Location: The hotel's location is excellent, not far from all the must-see attractions. The hotel exterior looks grand and luxurious, but the lobby is quite small and crowded. The hotel entrance is a bit messy, and there aren't many dedicated parking spaces, nor are there any charging stations. Facilities: The room size is decent, but the facilities and decor are old and dated. The room windows can't be opened for ventilation. For some reason, the air conditioning wasn't cooling, and the hotel couldn't give a clear explanation. Eventually, they gave us a fan! 😵💫😵💫😵💫 Yes, a fan! At an InterContinental, a supposed five-star hotel, there was no working air conditioning, and they gave us a fan! The shower water pressure in the bathroom was also an issue; it was too low to properly rinse, making it impossible to wash hair. We had to ask the front desk to switch rooms before it got better. The cable TV was also poor, with no on-demand options and no HD channels. Service: Acceptable Cleanliness: Acceptable

The two-bedroom connecting suite at Andaz Xiamen is perfect for traveling with elderly family members! The two rooms are separate yet interconnected, allowing us to each have our own space while still being able to look after them whenever needed, which brought us great peace of mind. The rooms were spacious and clean, the bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a restful sleep for the elders. Its location right above MixC mall means dining and shopping are incredibly convenient, and it's also close to the subway station, making getting around effortless. The service was also impeccable, from the front desk and concierge to the in-room dining, everything was superb. Overall, it was an amazing experience and our top choice for family travel.

The room was great, and the toiletries were excellent! The breakfast was bountiful, and the service was attentive. Since I was on a business trip, I requested a one-hour late checkout, which the hotel kindly granted for free. I particularly appreciated being able to choose the firmness of the bedding, which was a thoughtful touch. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, including a barbershop, swimming pool, gym, and massage room, making it perfect for both business travelers and tourists.

This is a great hotel! Its location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk from the West Gate of the ancient city. Plus, if you take advantage of the hotel's complimentary ancient city tour bus (be mindful of the limited departure times), it drops you right at the South Gate. From there, you can explore the ancient city from the South Gate to the West Gate, saving yourself some walking. Another plus is the ample underground parking. The rooms are spacious, especially the bathroom, which is well-designed and highly functional. The toiletries provided are high-quality, and there's even direct drinking water available. If you prefer bottled water, they're happy to provide it too. A thoughtful touch is the choice of thick or thin duvets. Furthermore, the room ventilation is excellent. Overall, our stay was ideal. The front desk service was efficient and straightforward. The breakfast offers a good variety of local specialties; I regret only staying one day and not being able to try them all. The weather wasn't ideal during my visit, so I missed out on the scenic views from the rooftop restaurant, which is a shame. I'd love to come back again when I have the chance!

Service: The service was incredibly attentive and efficient. They were very quick to respond to requests, definitely a five-star experience. Environment: The view was fantastic, overlooking the Min River. We got to watch the sunset, which was absolutely beautiful. Facilities: The TV wasn't a smart TV, so we couldn't cast anything to it. Hopefully, they'll update that soon. I really liked the toiletries, though. Breakfast: There was a good variety of options, but the taste was just average. It was extremely crowded, and there was a lot of waiting in line.

For my Quanzhou trip, I chose the InterContinental Taihe, initially drawn by its convenient location, close to all the main attractions. I booked an Executive Suite, which included Executive Lounge access. The room offered simultaneous views of the Ferris wheel and Jinjiang Bridge – you could watch the tide come and go during the day, and the nighttime views were even more stunning. Right next door was the Maritime Silk Road Xunfeng Night Market, bustling with local life. From check-in onwards, the staff's service was exceptional, especially Ms. Xiao Mao. Her service was consistently attentive and responsive to every request. The room key card was also very unique and made for a nice souvenir. The breakfast is highly recommended; it featured almost every type of Quanzhou snack, allowing you to savor global delicacies without leaving the hotel. Western dishes, fruits, and regular breakfast items were also plentiful. It truly lives up to its reputation as a 'World City of Gastronomy,' and I can understand why international visitors also choose to stay here.

Our stay was incredibly satisfying, and if we ever return to Xiamen, we'll definitely choose the Lujiang Hotel again: 1. The hotel's location is excellent. It's very close to both Gulangyu Island and Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street. In the morning, you can take a ferry to Gulangyu from the First Wharf to Neicuo'ao Wharf, and in the afternoon, return from Sanqiutian Wharf to the Ferry Terminal. The Ferry Terminal is right opposite the hotel, so it's just a short walk back. As for Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, it's literally downstairs from the hotel, which is super convenient. 2. The hotel service is top-notch, truly five-star quality. The front desk upgraded us to a sea-view king room, allowing us to enjoy beautiful ocean views both morning and evening. The welcome fruit and mini-bar were also a nice touch. The housekeeping service was incredibly detail-oriented, and the reception staff were very warm and attentive. 3. The hotel's decor is fantastic. From the lobby and elevators to the guest rooms, everything is designed in a Republic of China (Minguo) style. Even small details like the weighing scale and tea sets perfectly match the hotel's overall ambiance. The entire decoration style is very consistent and well-executed.

This hotel is located right by West Lake, offering unbeatable views of the lake and mountains. I really appreciate the classic feel of this older hotel. The breakfast selection is extensive, and as a tourist, I found the Fuzhou specialty snacks to be authentically delicious, which my child thoroughly enjoyed. Service: The service was incredibly thoughtful, polite, and enthusiastic. Staff members always greeted us when passing by. They also took into careful consideration our needs when assigning a room, knowing we were traveling with a child and elderly parents. When I had a minor scrape from an electric scooter outside, the hotel even provided iodine and Yunnan Baiyao. What's more, the Yunnan Baiyao was brand new, and they even removed the plastic packaging for me – impeccable attention to detail! When I went to concierge to pick up our takeout, the staff even pointed out which items had just arrived, giving me a 'clue.' Haha. All in all, highly recommended! If I ever come to Fuzhou again, I'll definitely stay here.

The Conrad Xiamen truly lives up to its reputation! It boasts unbeatable sea views, and the rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and offer fantastic views. The bathing experience was top-notch. I especially want to give a big shout-out to Kelly! Her service was incredibly warm and attentive. She was available from check-in to check-out, not only proactively recommending local food spots but also thoughtfully handling all our requests. Her quick responses and high emotional intelligence made her professional yet heartwarming service truly outstanding! Next time I'm in Xiamen, I'll definitely choose to stay here again and look for Kelly!

AAnonymous UserThe room was decent, and the hotel is conveniently located near the seaside and the ferry terminal. It's right next to Zhonghua City, and just a 5-minute walk to Zhongshan Road, though I wouldn't recommend Zhongshan Road as the environment isn't great. The Botanical Garden, Huli Mountain Fortress, Xiamen University, Baicheng Beach, the Coastal Road, and the 'Sea View of Kinmen' tour from Heping Wharf are all worth visiting. Definitely avoid the offshore cruises recommended by people on the street – they're usually from sketchy companies. Breakfast offered a good variety, but the soy milk and fried dough sticks were a bit cold, and I couldn't get used to the duck blood in the oyster vermicelli soup.

FflubberGrand Honor Hotel is definitely the best hotel in Shishi, but it’s not quite the same level as a luxury hotel in a bigger city. Generally the hotel is clean, but it’s the little things that I noticed, ie when I checked in, there were some sweet wrappers next to the bowl of sweets that weren’t cleared away. That said, the sense of space is evident in the hotel lobby, lifts, corridors and most importantly, the hotel rooms. Rooms are very spacious and well-designed, although the closet area can definitely do with brighter lights. Most amenities are provided but what put me off is that many items that would have been free in other hotels at this price-range aren’t free at Grand Honor. There is a Chinese tea set on the table and usually the loose leaf tea is provided for free but it cost ¥15 per packet. Honestly it’s not a lot of money for us, but on the flip side, surely the hotel can provide a bag of tea leaves for their guests. There are the standard free single-use packet tea in the drawer so at least there’s that. In-room slippers are not to be taken out; they’d charge you if you do - and that’s fine, but the slippers are actually really uncomfortable to wear. The small plate of fruits (banana, plum and mandarin) given at 5pm every day is a nice touch. The hotel breakfast is probably the highlight. Set on the 22nd floor with panoramic views of the city, breakfast is very enjoyable. The food quality is pretty good, but a real surprise here is the sheer diversity of food. The bread selection alone has 5-6 choices (pastries, brioche, baguette, square toast, etc), the cooked food section is almost endless (and there’s cooked Chinese vegetables! 👏🏾) and then there’s the fruit selection at the end too. My only gripe is that the coffee machine is a bit slow, and there’s only one machine so there can be a wait for coffee. Location of the hotel is a little odd; good restaurants and the main mall is about 15 mins’ walk away. There aren’t many good shops to wander around nearby. Generally, this is a solid hotel for this price point. Excellent service with very fast food delivery (using the ubiquitous delivery robots) and friendly front desk staff.

GGuest UserBooked too late, so all the hotels in the city center couldn't accommodate my booking requirements. I had no choice but to opt for Shoukia Junlan Hotel. The hotel's location is indeed a bit out of the way, but it's right by a subway station, which is convenient for those without a car. The subway goes directly to the Sanqixiang Scenic Area. Since I arrived quite late on the day of check-in, I had dinner directly at the ground floor restaurant. The hotel's Chinese food was quite good and the portions were generous. We ate until past 9 PM, and the staff were still very polite and didn't complain. Also, Auntie Zhu Yuanyuan, our room attendant on the tenth floor, was incredibly warm and polite, always ready to help with anything we needed. She promptly arranged anything we requested. Highly recommend!

AAnonymous UserThis hotel is less than a 20-minute walk from Takasaki Airport T3 terminal, making it incredibly convenient for layovers or early morning flights. The rooms are clean, tidy, spacious, and comfortable, with modern amenities. A huge bonus is the lake view from the window – it's really therapeutic to just sit by the window and relax on a nice day. The interior also features many decorations and small ornaments that incorporate Xiamen's local culture, giving you a taste of the local atmosphere even during a short stay. The front desk service is warm and attentive, and they even offer free late-night snacks, which is a thoughtful touch. The hotel also includes an airport shuttle service, so you don't have to worry about rushing to your flight; the hotel car gets you to the airport in less than 5 minutes, saving you both hassle and time. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with my experience and will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Xiamen!👍

GGuest UserThe hotel was good. It's quite close to the attractions I visited, and transportation is convenient. The breakfast was surprisingly good too, with local specialties like 'Laohua' (a type of noodle soup) and fish balls, which were delicious. The room was clean and well-arranged, and I particularly enjoyed the smart toilet – very comfortable. The hotel service was also excellent; I arrived quite late, and they thoughtfully provided an eye mask and earplugs.

AAnonymous UserI didn't expect this hotel to be so good, and now I understand why it received so many positive reviews. First, the hotel gave us a free upgrade to a courtyard family room, which was incredibly important. The south-facing room on the first floor was very warm, and being able to open a small door directly into the courtyard was lovely. **Cleanliness**: The cleanliness was excellent, and the facilities were new. The cleaning staff did a fantastic job; they even disinfected the tea set. Seeing that we enjoyed tea, they provided a large bottle of Nongfu Spring water. **Environment**: The hotel is located right at the edge of Sanfang Qixiang, making it convenient for taxis. It's also very easy to walk to various attractions (Yan Fu's former residence, Lin Zexu Memorial Hall, Wenrufang, etc.). It's very quiet here, yet if you walk to the main street in the middle of Sanfang Qixiang at night, it's quite lively. About 100 meters away, on Yadao Alley, there's a Michelin Bib Gourmand 'Houjie Laohua' noodle shop that's open until 1 AM, which is very convenient. On the other side, walking towards Wenrufang, there's another Michelin-starred Min cuisine restaurant with excellent food. On the main street, the 'Tongli Rouyan' (meat swallows) is also delicious and served very quickly. **Facilities**: The hotel's public areas are a suitable size with high ceilings. They offer various coffee, fruit tea, and hot beverages, plus some soft drinks and cold beverages (the 'Dasjie' olive juice is delicious). They also provide free postcards with stamps available. In the room, there's a box with several types of tea and a complete tea brewing set. **Service**: The service was very thoughtful. We were satisfied from check-in onwards. Fresh fruit was delivered daily, and all drinks in the mini-bar were complimentary. Since we couldn't wake up early enough for the buffet breakfast, I asked if the hotel could pack some for us to try. To my surprise, they agreed and even delivered it to our room on a small table! I felt a bit embarrassed, as I had only expected a takeaway box. When we checked out, the hotel butler presented us with a souvenir and helped carry our luggage to the car. (I specifically noted the butlers' name tags, which read Qin Yue and Zhang Xuan). Later, I learned that the hotel's breakfast is vegetarian and it's called 'Sanbao,' suggesting it might be a hotel with Buddhist undertones. Staying here, I felt very peaceful, and the overall environment was wonderful. This is truly a hotel that offers great value for money and is highly recommended.

GGuest UserThe room was fantastic, and they even gave the kids some arcade tokens, which they loved. The next morning, we went up to the Cloud Observation Deck. Even though the weather wasn't great and we missed the sunrise, we still got to see a beautiful panoramic view of Longyan city, which was pretty amazing. During the Chinese New Year, they also organized some intangible cultural heritage experiences, like making lacquer fans and woodblock prints. The kids had a blast and even learned something new! 😄😄 The breakfast was incredibly rich with lots of local specialties, and the taste was really authentic. They had both Chinese and Western options, highly recommend it!
