5-Star Hotels in Guangdong, China

The environment is great, and the staff are mostly young, professional, and have a good service attitude. However, I felt the communication about the package services could be better. I booked the room, and my friend arrived first, but it seemed she wasn't aware of the photography, drinks, and entertainment included in the package. When I arrived, I was only told that the entertainment needed to be booked in advance and couldn't be done online, which was quite inconvenient. Another minor issue was that the tissues in the hotel were very thin, which wasn't a great experience. Although the hotel is a bit secluded, you can still order takeout, and it even gets delivered right to your door. I recommend 'Jindi'. The breakfast stands out from other buffet breakfasts, but the overall taste was just average; there's room for improvement.

A perfect five-star review for the R&F Wanda Hotel Jiangmen! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, Annie's warm, spring-like smile and efficient, professional service instantly melted away my travel fatigue. The room was spacious and bright, the bedding was comfortable, and the river view was absolutely stunning. Breakfast offered a rich variety, and the service was attentive and thoughtful. This stay far exceeded my expectations; Annie and her team's warmth made this place feel less like a hotel and more like a cozy sanctuary. Highly recommended – I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Jiangmen!

This was my second time staying here. The location is incredibly convenient, right above Fuhuali, which has all sorts of dining, entertainment, and shopping options. It's also very close to the border crossing. The value for money is excellent, it's comfortable to stay in, and the facilities are comprehensive. The kids especially loved it. I'll definitely be back next time!

Overall, it was excellent. The hotel has a sophisticated feel with brand-new decor, and the experience was great. The attention to detail in their hotel products is truly commendable. The soundproofing was also generally good; unlike other hotels where you can hear the toilet flush next door, there were no such noise issues, which I appreciated. However, there's one small point of criticism, which might be a necessary design choice for the hotel. We found two locked doors in our room with handles, seemingly connecting to the adjacent room. At night, while sleeping, we heard someone twisting the doorknob and knocking from the room next door, which disturbed us. It's quite bizarre, and honestly, this door created a flaw in the soundproofing. It was a frustrating and unacceptable discovery after checking into a Four Seasons hotel. Is this design mandatory? Is it for safety? It's hard to understand. Nevertheless, I'm still willing to give it a 5-star rating; everything else was impeccable.

I chose Wyndham again this year because of my pleasant stay during New Year's Day last year. However, the service this time, at the same time of year, was vastly different. First, the front desk handling check-in clearly ignored my special requests. As a result, when I got to the room, I found that the room I booked was the exact opposite of what I requested. Furthermore, the so-called 'lake view' room only offered a view of large trees (Picture 1). If the hotel didn't have the requested room, shouldn't the front desk have informed the guest? Secondly, I don't think Wyndham accurately estimated the number of guests for breakfast. The entire breakfast restaurant was incredibly noisy, no different from a wet market. I can understand this, as it's a holiday and there are many people. But while people were eating, those coming in would just stand next to others' tables, which I imagine was frustrating for both those trying to eat and those looking for a table. The restaurant staff's instructions for seating guests were also unclear (Picture 3). This is because there were actually dining areas on the other side of the restaurant, but they were in a sunken area and hard for guests to notice. As for the auntie at the rice noodle roll station, I wonder if she wasn't getting paid or wasn't trained, because she wore an unpleasant expression for all to see. If you can't give an extra portion according to policy, you can explain it nicely, because guests might not have seen the notice. But being confrontational with guests only causes anger, especially when the dining atmosphere is already so frustrating! In other hotels, staff are attentive to special families and even offer assistance, but despite Wyndham's high room rates, the service falls short. The breakfast selection was very ordinary, very ordinary, and with so many people, the queues for the limited made-to-order stations were incredibly long. The experience was very poor, and I didn't end up eating much anyway. Thirdly, the five-star Wyndham clearly has very poor preparedness for its guest traffic during holidays. As the weather turned cold that evening, and the forecast had warned of it, which everyone knew, many families with children needed extra blankets. However, the blanket I requested half an hour ago wasn't delivered. Finally, after I called to follow up, they said there were no blankets, and it took another hour for the requested items and a bedsheet (which was better than nothing) to arrive. In short, this stay was very unpleasant. A big-brand hotel is still inferior to a guesthouse!

We love the apartment! It is tastefully decorated and the Daily housekeeping is excellent!! They even kept and return the power bank which we accidentally left behind. Delivery food is sent to our room by a robot, human staff are all approachable and helpful. Only gripe is the traffic outside the hotel is a bit chaotic and dangerous (maybe for foreigners like us).

The location is super convenient for transportation and dining. The rooms are clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly. It's a great value for money and our top choice for a family stay. We'll definitely come back if we have the chance.

Compared to the Rosewood Hotel under the same brand, The Residences offers more spacious accommodations and enhanced privacy, with unit type 03 even featuring private elevator access. The service from Wendy Yao, Ella, Betsy, and Skylar Luo was exceptionally commendable. From proactively inquiring about check-in details before our arrival to a polite follow-up after check-out, the experience was several times better than my stay at the Rosewood last year. They were also incredibly helpful in resolving issues during our stay, even late at night. My overall experience was significantly elevated by the staff's patience and courtesy. We stayed in unit 03, where you could see the illuminated Canton Tower even while lying on your side in bed. The living room had a Bose sound system, and listening to Taylor Swift while gazing at the IFC building was truly delightful. The breakfast quality was decent, but the variety of options was a bit limited.

This hotel offers great value for money. This is my second visit, and the InterContinental Zhuhai is still well worth staying at. The hotel service is excellent. The front desk staff are all very professional, and the service process is well-structured. Bella's service attitude was superb; she checked on my room needs daily and immediately offered solutions to any issues. I was truly impressed. The doormen were also incredibly proactive, always helping with luggage, which I greatly appreciated. Facilities: The room design is outstanding, with a spacious layout. Upon entering, there's a walk-in closet. The bathroom features an independent design with a separate washbasin. The room itself is very large, and the bathroom has two washbasins, all with an elegant and minimalist decor. The desk in the room is perfect for working or jotting things down. I've always loved Byredo toiletries, and this time I even bought three bottles to take home. Cleanliness: The room's cleanliness was very good, and housekeeping was prompt. Even if I was in the room and had something going on, the hotel could arrange for staff to clean anytime, which was excellent. Environment: The hotel is very close to Zhuhai Station and Gongbei Port, located at the southernmost tip of Lovers' Road South. It's ideal if you're heading to Macau or want to stroll along the coastline. There are convenience stores nearby, but the main shopping malls are a bit of a distance away. Here are a few suggestions: Given the current economic climate, everyone is looking to cut costs and improve efficiency. Compared to my first stay last March, the hotel isn't quite as stunning as before, which I understand. In terms of amenities, the bottled water has changed from Bama Platinum to Jing Tian, and the steam eye masks and fridge magnets seem to be gone. From a detail perspective, previously, when housekeeping saw a lot of paper in my desk trash can, they would proactively leave a fresh box of tissues on my desk. Now, they might be stricter about consumables, as this wasn't done this time. The breakfast restaurant is quite spacious, and while seating guidance isn't strictly necessary, the variety of dishes could be richer. For a Zhuhai hotel, there were few Guangdong-specific dim sum options, and no egg tarts or pineapple buns among the Western pastries. The current selections are quite similar to those found in hotels elsewhere. I hope more variety can be added in the future. It's good for the hotel to cut unnecessary costs, but I hope they can enhance practical aspects, such as using a few robots for food delivery to guests. As my favorite InterContinental, Zhuhai InterContinental remains excellent. Its quality definitely matches its price point, and I hope the hotel continues to improve in the future.

I brought my son to Guangzhou for a comic convention, and we stayed at the Langham Guangzhou, which is just a stone's throw from the Canton Fair Complex. The facilities are top-notch, and the service was incredibly warm. I particularly want to thank Barton, the duty manager, and Irene, a server at the Executive Lounge (Langham Club), for their thoughtful and attentive service and assistance throughout our stay. They made us feel right at home. We'll definitely be back if we have the chance!
