We were lured to this hotel through recommendation of influencers that boast this hotel with it's majestic look of that looking like a Chinese traditional castle. Although the location is not quite what we really like as it is about 8-10mins walking from the nearest Metro Station (Nanmen Metro) but the price was quite affordable and enticing that we decided to give it a try. The hotel facade does looks magnificant, grand and big from afar, the interior is huge and traditionally well-kept even though the design looks a bit dated but I find that it stays classy and traditional that way. We were assigned to one of the furthest room all the way to the back at 5069. The walk was quite long since it was all the way at the back. Room is definitely big and allow opening of luggages all at one go. The amenities given was sufficient, except they can improve by giving more shower bath gel and shampoo as the small bottles was not enough. Was also hoping they could have install international plugs for their international guest being an international hotel chain as well. Their staffs were polite and professional. Woudl recommend anyone coming to Suzhou to give this hotel one shot at least! The most important thing is the hotel stay comes with complimentary park access which is connected at the back of the hotel which would cost RMB40 if you were to pay to go in! Worth it!

The facilities are complete, comfortable, and classy. The housekeeping staff does an excellent job, and the front desk service is very warm and professional. The hotel's overall management is excellent, with guides at every crossroads. There are shuttle buses within the park, and they even arrange a fun garden morning tea, hot springs, and travel photography. Every day, they deliver Yangda yogurt, and the breakfast is rich and delicious. The hotel's environment is first-class, complementing the beauty of Slender West Lake. It's great for morning exercises within the hotel, with birds singing and flowers blooming, black swans gliding, and views of pavilions, bridges over flowing water, ancient trees, and lush green lawns. This was our first time visiting Yangzhou, and we felt the charm of a historical city and the warmth of the Welcome Hotel. Winter travel in Yangzhou is peaceful and has a unique charm. We will definitely visit again.

Highly recommend! This is the best value for money hotel in Wuxi! This used to be the Grand Hyatt, rebranded last year. The overall environment is clean, elegant, and well-maintained. The high-floor views are expansive, and it's located in the heart of the city's central business district, with excellent dining, shopping, and transportation options nearby. The overall experience was superb. From check-in, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The butler followed up on our needs throughout our stay, proactively asking if we needed assistance – very professional and meticulous, making the experience top-notch. The hotel proactively upgraded the twin room we booked for my parents to a high-floor room on the 62nd floor for free, offering even better views and a more comfortable stay. This thoughtful upgrade was truly heartwarming. We stayed in the Candy House themed bunk bed room, and my child absolutely loved it the moment we walked in. After visiting several cities on this trip, my child directly rated this as their favorite place overall, saying they loved Wuxi the most. This high praise from a child truly reflects the hotel's dedication. The only minor drawback was the parking experience: upon arrival, there were very few signs, and almost no hotel-specific signage in the parking lot, making it difficult to find our way. Also, the third basement level had an unpleasant smell, while the second basement level was fine. This was a slight inconvenience. The hotel's proactive upgrade, the attentive service throughout, the excellent environment, and the comprehensive surrounding amenities, plus the kid-favorite themed room, made this stay a perfect 10. Whether for a family vacation or a business trip, this is an excellent choice in Wuxi. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Wuxi!

Hotel near Xuanwu Lake Scenic Area/Jiming Temple,Nanjing
GGuest User 2026.02.18
This is my third time staying at InterContinental Nanjing, and the view is still great. This time, I got a complimentary upgrade to a room on the 68th floor, but it didn't face Xuanwu Lake, which was a bit disappointing. The furniture in the room is a little dated, understandable since the hotel has been open for 15 years. I felt the central air conditioning was too hot, especially in winter; even with the small side window, it felt a bit stuffy. Perhaps they could consider better temperature and humidity control, like adding humidifiers. There was some dust in the corner of the bedside table, and the toilet in the bathroom was an older model. Breakfast was just okay, nothing special, and the bacon wasn't well-cooked – that needs improvement. I remember having a fantastic dinner buffet at the InterContinental during National Day in '25, where each guest even received a sea cucumber. Compared to dinner, breakfast was significantly less impressive, and the Western pastries were just average. The service, however, was very warm and enthusiastic; they called both before and after my stay and even provided fruit. If you're coming to Nanjing, I'd still recommend it. Nanjing Grand Theatre is next to the hotel, and the Nanjing Impressions restaurant there has great food. There's also an observation deck on the 45th floor where you can use your room key to access the terrace and enjoy the view.

The hotel's location is superb, right in Xinjiekou, Nanjing's city center, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and sightseeing. The wide-open space in front of the hotel makes getting around very easy. Plus, the surrounding area is beautiful and truly captures the essence of Nanjing! The breakfast offers local Nanjing specialties, including Huaiyang cuisine! We really appreciate the hotel's efficient and convenient butler service, which made us feel right at home. Duncan at the front desk was meticulous and thoughtful. Jinling Hotel's service is top-notch – incredibly detailed, luxurious, and comfortable, making us feel pampered! ❤️ The hotel facilities include an excellent pool, spa, and restaurant. The room decor is exquisite, and the environment is elegant, making for a very comfortable and relaxing overall experience. 😎 We'll definitely be back in the summer! A big thank you to Duncan for his service!

I booked a suite before the Chinese New Year, and for our family of three, being together is what the holiday is all about! When we arrived, the front desk offered us a discounted upgrade and waived the extra bed fee, which was a pleasant surprise! So we upgraded from a city view to a lake view, perfect! The front desk even asked if we preferred more lake view or more view of the Gate of the Orient, allowing us to choose a room with such precision, which was great! After checking in, I was very satisfied with the room's size, facilities, and view, especially the two bathrooms and two balconies. The scenery was truly beautiful, and we even caught two nights of fountain shows. Overall, we were very pleased. Perhaps the suite had just been renovated, as the bathrooms and decor were quite new, and we didn't encounter any issues like outdated facilities or poor soundproofing that I'd seen in other reviews. There was a slight new-decoration smell in the room, but they provided an air purifier, and as soon as it was on, the smell disappeared. Oh, one thing: the air conditioning didn't seem to adjust. On the first day, it was over 20 degrees Celsius outside, and the room temperature stayed at 25-26 degrees, which was a bit warm. Maybe I just didn't know how to use it? My parents went for breakfast early and said the variety was quite rich and the food was delicious. After eating, we took some photos at the hotel, and when it wasn't raining, we strolled around Jinji Lake nearby. In the afternoon, we went to Suzhou Center across the street to shop and have dinner. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay.

Everything was top tier. From the check-in where I was upgraded to a river view room, the clean, spacious and inviting room to the service and superb breakfast. The view from the restaurant was amazing. This was my pre birthday trip and the Hyatt made it so special. I even got a slice to birthday cake. The lady at the front desk who checked me in spoke really good English and was so kind and caring and she’s also a Gemini 😁🎉 I would 100% recommend and come back here.

New hotel, friendly staff but is going to be outdated soon. Bad sound proofing , lots of drunk Chinese people shouting in the corridor at night time. The breakfast variety is so poor for Europeans. Please teach your staff in the restaurant to cook sunny side up eggs and refill the dishes without reminding. Overall, it’s not “real Hilton” experience.

I booked a suite for my parents and me for our Chinese New Year trip. The hotel's personal assistant was an absolute angel, providing incredibly thoughtful and warm service. She was very observant. While I was still queuing for check-in, she directed me to a sofa nearby to complete the process and also gave me tips on dining during the Chinese New Year period. InterContinental offers quite a few activities for suite guests, and my parents were very pleased. We were also able to dine at different locations, avoiding the holiday crowds, which made the experience even better. The room was very clean and had no strange odors. The suite came with a Dyson hairdryer and a smart toilet. There were two bathrooms and even a small kitchen/pantry. The view was superb. The only drawback was the walk from the underground parking to the hotel, but that's a design issue and not the hotel's fault.

XXiaozheMy stay in Suzhou this time was absolutely fantastic, so I just had to leave a heartfelt review! The hotel has a Japanese-inspired design, simple and clean, creating a wonderful ambiance. The room was tidy and comfortable, making for a truly relaxing stay. The location is also superb, with everything you need nearby. There are tons of dining options right outside, making it super convenient for eating out and shopping. But what really warmed my heart was the service! The overall experience was top-notch, perfect whether you're traveling for leisure or business. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Suzhou!

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is truly fantastic, right next to a subway station. Even without the subway, transportation is incredibly convenient, making it perfect for friends visiting Suzhou. The rooms are spacious and new, and since it's the off-season, the price is great, offering excellent value for money. The hotel is close to everything. We went to Pingjiang Road, Guanqian Street, and Shantang Street every day, and a taxi ride was usually around 10 yuan, which was super convenient. The food on the first floor is also very affordable. Guests even get a 20% discount, making the prices comparable to outside. A 20-yuan salted pork and vegetable rice dish is enough for three people! (Pictures available to prove it) This trip to Suzhou also had a pleasant surprise—there are so many Qipao shops! The styles are beautiful and not expensive, mostly 100-200 or 300-400 yuan. Prices are clearly marked, so you can buy with complete peace of mind!

GGuest UserFacilities: This hotel in Suzhou is truly a 'spur-of-the-moment' getaway for Shanghainese. Our room was super comfy, with loungers on both the north and south sides of the courtyard. I can just imagine how beautiful it would be in March or April, with flowers blooming everywhere. It was a bit dry indoors during winter. Cleanliness: The room was very clean, and we stayed for two nights. Overall, a five-star rating for comfort. Environment: The hotel is located in the city center, right next to UniPark, with convenient surrounding facilities and easy parking at the mall. The hotel also has its own parking area. It's within walking distance of the Master of the Nets Garden. As someone from Shanghai, I never thought I'd make a special trip to visit a garden in Suzhou, but the night tour of the Master of the Nets Garden during Chinese New Year was surprisingly the highlight of our trip! It truly amazed us! The hotel doesn't have many rooms, and there's only one restaurant (serving both Western and Chinese food), plus a bar where you can enjoy a casual drink during social hour in the afternoon. During the New Year, they even offered sugar painting and paper cutting, which showed a lot of thoughtfulness. Thumbs up! Service: Service industries are understandably busy during Chinese New Year. We checked in in the afternoon, and our room was ready right away. The front desk staff was very efficient and even gave my child a complimentary breakfast. Our personal concierge, Vickey, was incredibly thoughtful! She added me on WeChat and later sent recommendations for nearby attractions. If we needed anything, a quick message to her got a super prompt response. The only area that truly needs improvement, in my opinion, was dinner. Although we made a last-minute reservation and were able to dine in the second seating, for an à la carte restaurant where the average spend is no less than 350 RMB per person, we arrived at 7:20 PM and weren't offered complimentary pre-dinner fruit or appetizers, even though other tables had them. I mentioned it when paying, and they offered me post-dinner fruit instead. Oh well. We were excited to order the Braised Pork Meatball (Lion's Head) and chicken soup, but both were sold out. This really fell short of Kimpton's standards and was the biggest disappointment of our two-night stay. Despite that, I really like this hotel and it will definitely be one of the places we return to.

__WeChat229852****The best decision I made during my trip to Suzhou was staying at the Yihe Songmao Residence. The hotel itself is nestled within the Pingjiang Road Historic and Cultural District, offering a tranquil and elegant atmosphere, brimming with Suzhou charm. The check-in experience was exceptional: The rooms were clean and tidy, and the facilities were well-maintained. What truly impressed me was the impeccable service – the front desk staff were warm, professional, and any issues were promptly resolved. The hotel also provided thoughtful shuttle services; the driver not only took us to nearby attractions but also offered friendly explanations along the way, making the experience absolutely perfect. The dining exceeded expectations: Breakfast was far from perfunctory; every dish was exquisitely prepared, and you could taste the freshness of the ingredients. Due to this wonderful impression, we even chose to have our lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant. The restaurant environment was equally clean and comfortable, and the dishes were authentic and delicious – we could eat there for days without getting tired of it. In short, this is a boutique hotel that excels in 'environment, service, and dining.' I highly recommend it to all friends visiting Suzhou.

If you need to soak in the hot spring, just tell Ms. Zhou and she will happily come over and help fill the hot spring water. She is a very nice person. I really like her. No. I had to go to the public hot springs to soak with others, it was very comfortable. I also went to Nanshan Bamboo Sea. The air was very good. I had a very good accommodation experience this time. I will go there often in the future!

RRuthWe were happy with our stay here. The room was nicer than it looked online, and the hotel was really clean. There are playrooms for young children that are free (3 rooms with some different toys in each room). The rooms are a bit old and tired, but my 2 year old enjoyed playing there and requested UK hi back lots of times. For parents it is just great to have somewhere for your kid to play and have fun, especially as the weather was very cold when we went! Outside there is a play area and sand digging pit. Location is walking distance from Tongli old town. Restaurant does evening buffet, and buffet breakfast. The food is fine, more Chinese than western, my husband really liked it and my favourite part was the Beijing roast duck at dinner. The pool is warm, with floats and rubber rings to borrow. There is a little land train, it takes a 10 minute trip around the hotel grounds and the cost is 20RMB for one adult and child. For me it was very boring but my son loved it 😂 The staff are very warm and friendly, everyone is very professional. Each guest is connected to a butler on wechat before they arrive so you can easily send a message and get some help. Our butler is Yu Ting and she helped us very professionally. For me, the things the hotel can improve are (1) the animal petting zoo - by western standard the facilities for the animals are not very good, just concrete enclosure with hut. For foreigners, we do not really like this. (2) We had a problem with the other guests smoking in the hotel, eg in the coffee bar. When I complained to the staff they tried to stop the guests, but even though they repeatedly reminded them to stop, the other guests continued. In the end they arranged for me to move to a private room near the bar where I could avoid the smoking. I was very grateful that they found a solution for me and my baby, but I am speechless there are such guests who flagrantly break the rules and the hotel cannot stop them. We smelled smoke in some different public areas, so maybe this is a problem with several guests 🙁 Overall we are happy with our stay and it is a good place to spend a few days with kids.

GGuest UserStepping into Suzhou Meiliao Wuming Chu felt like opening a door to tranquility and peace. The hotel's Suzhou garden design transforms the entire space into a living, breathing ink wash painting. White walls, dark tiles, artificial rockeries, and flowing water – every step reveals a scenic view, and every turn uncovers a clever detail. This understated beauty instills a deep sense of comfort and ease. The room itself is the epitome of oriental aesthetics, with exquisite taste evident from the materials chosen to the furnishings arranged. Staying here, I felt far removed from the hustle and bustle of the city, and close to an inner serenity – truly experiencing what it means to cultivate oneself. The nearby Suzhou Museum offers a close-up encounter with culture, and popular Suzhou snacks like Qiujuan, Panyulin Tangzhou, the beef pan-fried buns at Beihao Alley, and Suzhou's top-ranked Yang Zhaodi are all within easy reach, making it incredibly convenient to get around. The hotel's oxygen therapy service is not just a gimmick. With every breath, that refreshing feeling, both inside and out, swept away the fatigue of a long journey and the 'muddiness' of city life, adding a touch of lively charm to this classical elegance. What surprised me most was the breakfast. Eschewing the noise and monotony of a buffet, they offer an à la carte menu. Each dish felt tailor-made, beautifully presented, with fresh ingredients and delicate flavors. Quietly enjoying such a breakfast was not only a treat for the taste buds but also a sophisticated ritual of life. This wasn't just a stay; it was more like a spiritual cleansing. I'll definitely be back.
