We stayed for 2 nights and wished we stayed longer! Room was spacious and clean with an amazing view on the high floor. We had dinner buffet at Weligama Kitchen and food was great! Breakfast served there was delicious with great variety from Western , Asian, Indian but the Sri Lankan style breakfast was the best! Tide Bar is a great place to relax and have drinks with scrumptious snack too. We spent most of our time at the resort and it was very relaxing. The environment was suitable for couples and family at the same time. Lastly, service was top notch, everyone was friendly and helpful. TK and Kalpani from Weligama kitchen always checking on us, Sachinthaka , Asanka and Dharmika from Tides always cheerful and greeting us when we head there for drinks. Would definitely return and recommend to family and friends visiting beautiful Sri Lanka!

Everyone said that this hotel is good, but no one said how pristine the road in is. If you only stay for one night and leave Yala, please do not book this hotel, especially during the rainy season, otherwise you will probably have to drive for several hours and face floods under heavy rain. Jinshan car did not dare to wade into the water rashly and had to ask for help from a jeep (additional fee). Another important information is that there are many mosquitoes in the room. People who are afraid of insects must not come here. If you are not afraid of insects, please bring toilet water.

Amazing resort location with large cosy and beautiful rooms. Highly recommend for holidays. Food is expensive though.

Overall, it was an enjoyable stay although in some respects it was inferior to other hotels I stayed in on the holiday. The pools were great and so was the view from the room. The room itself was alright - quite basic but sufficient. We did have problems with a leak in the ceiling which was promptly addressed by staff but still a little annoying. In general the staff were lovely: in particular Chamindu in the restaurant, a security guard who called me and my partner over to show us turtles on the beach (sorry, can't remember his name) and the guy working the sunloungers at the lower pool. The weakest part was probably the food. It wasn't bad exactly, it was just worse than the food in all the other hotels I stayed in.

The infinity pool of Bawa architecture is a wonderful hotel. Many of the customers seemed to be from Sri Lanka. There were many people like honeymooners, but there were surprisingly many families and families. Although the hotel was a little old, it was solidly built and there was no problem with the plumbing. Service outside the restaurant was very good. The restaurant seems to take more than 30 minutes to bring out what you ordered at lunch. And it was a little cold. Coffee for breakfast also took quite a while to come out. Housekeeping and receptionists were very nice.

Amazing experience. One of the best hotels we've stayed at. The food is incredible, my wife is gluten free and has coeliac, therefore, she becomes very sick if she's eats food containing gluten. The head of the restaurant, I believe his name was Dilshan (apologize if this is wrong) was outstanding, he went out of his way to go through all the meals with my stating which ones were gluten free and even provided a plate of desserts which he got the chef to make specifically for her. Such a kind hearted gentleman. The service was phenomenal as per the other Jetwings we have stayed at. We will definitely be back.

It was the amazing place i have visited. Had a great welcome from front line staff. Room is perfect and had a great view. Dinner and breakfast was amazing and very tasty. Breakfast bufet had a wide selection of western and local food. I requested to arrange a birthday cake at the breakfast time and they were arranged a tasty cake with special birthday surprise. Overall can be give 10 out of 10.

The beach at the hotel is too wavy to swim and can only bask in the sun. But not far away, there is another public beach more than 100 meters, where you can swim. There are many choices for buffet breakfast and dinner, and the taste is good. Of course, there are occasional mistakes, such as grilled too raw beef shoulder. There are very few things for children to entertain. There is a game room where you can draw, watch TV, play games, etc., but the maintenance is not very good. The service is generally good, ushered in. However, there are more ingredients for the show, and some details need attention. The location is a little bit biased, but it ’s okay because it ’s all-inclusive. When you enter, you need to go through security checks. Welcome drinks are available. The room is relatively rudimentary. Take a bath at 1600. We do n’t even have a bathtub. The location of Ctrip Booking is not good. On the far side, there is no view outside, and it is farthest from the restaurant and swimming pool. In the bar building, the first night was too noisy. Afterwards, the hotel thoughtfully let us go to the beach, prepared the Kongming lantern to fly and pray for blessings. I felt more ritualistic than the Chinese New Year. The hotel staff were very enthusiastic. They would greet us with a smile whenever they saw it. It was great for us to relax and spend a few days on vacation around the island in Sri Lanka.

The hotel was so good and the staff were amazing..specially dharshana, aslam, sachini, nilnadee and nishakya was so helpful..highly recommended. We got a room with nice view and room was very beautiful.. They have 2 pools and both are good. We have direct access to the beach and that made our day more perfect.

Welcome - we were greeted well on arrival As this was our last hotel on trip we requested for an upgrade. The receptionist said the hotel was full but it wasnt the case when we checked with housekeeping staff. Rooms - The rooms are pretty standard 5 star rooms with partial sea view from the room we stayed in. Service - The room service/housekeeping was very quick and efficient but the service at the pool restaurant was very dull and unwelcoming. F&B - The food and the service at the main restaurant was outstanding. This is what saved our good views on this hotel. The manager was more than eager to serve us well. Pool - The pool is very nice- very big and well maintained Beach- The beach was nothing special. Overall - A decent hotel with tough neighborly competition.

We dined & drank at the Ropewalk bar on our first evening in Galle Fort and it was one of our highlights. Our waiter Pasindu deserves a special mention as he provided amazing recommendations for both food & cocktails as well as being a warm, genuine and incredibly attentive host. We can’t wait to visit the bar again & hopefully stay at the hotel next time we visit Galle Fort.

I booked this hotel for the convenience of going on a safari the next day. The decoration style of the hotel is good, and it looks quite gorgeous, but the inside of the room is relatively ordinary. The facilities are very old, and the moisture can't get out after taking a shower. The whole room It is very, very humid (the kind of water flowing down from the reflection on the wall). When eating in the restaurant, there are stray cats begging for food. People immediately lower their heads. The next day, because the safari departed at 5 o'clock, the breakfast packaged by the hotel was relatively simple (not worth the price, it is recommended not to order breakfast). Coming off a 16 day trip that included stays at a 5 star hotel in London, both Aman properties in Sri Lanka. and Soneva Fushi in the Maldives. We have stayed previously at a similar price point in South Africa, the Netherlands, the Caribbean, and Canada. Everything considered, Amanwella rates, for us, as the best that we have stayed anywhere in the world. The important caveat is that you must have your expectations set properly — this is a mature hotel set in a tropical location. Expect heat, insects, spiders, and lizards. Some may even make their way into your room. A quick phone call to housekeeping will solve any such issue immediately, in our experience anyway. Accept this, and the hotel is likely to rate as the destination of a lifetime. For us, the staff are easily the greatest asset of the hotel, starting with the general manager of the resort, Sonam. Every day he checked in on us, usually at breakfast, but sometimes more often than that. He was easy to speak to and we felt he was genuine in every respect. We missed a connection in Dubai and arrived late in the evening (11pm); regardless, he was present at our arrival along with a full contingent of staff for welcoming! Janith, our Guest Assistant, while only 26, rated as leagues above anything else we experienced on this trip or anywhere else. He is, without doubt, a rising star for Aman. Every need was anticipated and every request acted on in a timely fashion. Janith has continued to message us on WhatsApp since our departure, checking in on the rest of trip, and we feel that we made a real friend in Sri Lanka. Dinusha, who we met at the main restaurant, well, his smile is simply contagious, and he came across as down to earth, friendly, and eager to do whatever is necessary to make our stay memorable. His memory for our preferences is impeccable, which is something we did not find elsewhere as often as we would have liked. Ruwon, often a driver for us, treated us with consideration and spoke candidly while behaving professionally at all times. Again, we feel that we made another friend here during this trip! The resort is beautiful, well maintained, and while we spent more time on activities than on the beach, I assure you this is a beach resort first and foremost and that the beach is world class. The vibe is laid back but there is no element of luxury missing. Of everything we did, the lagoon experience was our favourite activity. Highly recommended. Make time also for a private dinner at the beach club. You will not regret it. I see that that past reviewers have expressed concern about the cost of food. The solution for us was to book the Fort & Beach package which included half board, experiences, and transfer between resorts. Perfection, Amanwella. Book it and enjoy!

It is just two next door to jetwing yala, this is a primitive one, the modern one, here is a small single-family room, outside the room is the forest of the national park, it is said that animals may be seen. In general, the hotel here is suitable for people who are not afraid of bugs and prefer the original environment, because there are really too many small bugs in the room, flies, mosquitoes, flying insects and gecko. After staying for one night, I found three geckos running fast, and I was still a little scared. 😂. The facilities are OK, but the electricity is unstable. The power is cut off several times. Although the call is very fast, the hot water is too small. There is no separate restaurant. If you eat, you will take the car at the front desk to the next house for dinner. According to friends, the dinner buffet is not bad. Choose on demand

We were very lucky. It was finally a sunny day when we arrived at the hotel. Afternoon tea was by the swimming pool. There was a special Chinese family set meal for dinner. The picnic at the seaside was worth trying. Reservation is required. You could see the stars in the sky and face the waves hitting the rocky beach. There is a chance of encountering an stray elephant. The atmosphere was full of atmosphere. I went on Safari at 5:30 and saw Lucas the sleeping Ceylon leopard, 2 elephant families foraging for food, crocodiles basking in the sun, countless buffaloes, peacocks and monkeys, as well as various birds. The meeting will provide water and simple lunch boxes, and return to the hotel at 9 o'clock for a rich breakfast. For an all-inclusive wild luxury hotel, the experience is very good and the room is cool. It is a high-quality tent camp after Capella in Bali. Tips for avoiding pitfalls: Forget about the spa, the experience is not good, it costs 80 dollars for 60 minutes, the environment and level are limited, and there are additional service fees and taxes, and no advance notice!
