The rooftop view is truly beautiful~ It's a shame I didn't come up at night, otherwise it would have been absolutely stunning.
The room was comfortable and spacious. The best part is the excellent soundproofing! There are sliding doors that can block out noise~
There are also free yukata available for rent to use for hot springs, and a swimming pool on the rooftop~
Truly a great hotel!

Gorgeous hotel on the bay in Beppu with stunning views of the sea and mountains. Hotel is modern and beautiful, influenced by traditional craftsmanship and architecture. Meals are delicious and draw on local delicacies. Service is so-so. Staff seem overwhelmed and distant. Lots of activities planned for guests, but noise doesn’t travel. Hot springs are relaxing, although there are only two baths inside and one, small one outside. Shop is not great. Would recommend the hotel consider selling some of the dish ware or toiletries in the bathroom or other crafts and or local products from Oita, etc.

Guest UserOne of the nice features of this hotel is that you can enjoy the onsen while looking out over the ocean.
However, it is not very convenient without a car. I walked all the way from Beppu Station before discovering that the hotel offers a free shuttle bus. I’ve attached the shuttle bus schedule—I’d strongly recommend using it.
The room was the biggest disappointment. Although it was advertised as a renovated, high-floor ocean-view room, it still felt very old. The bathroom was especially outdated, and there was a very high step between the bathroom and the room, making it easy to trip. The room really feels like it needs a proper renovation.
Overall, the ocean-view onsen was enjoyable, but the rooms did not match my expectations.

YvonnemamaWe stayed at this hotel in Beppu this time and I highly recommend it! The beds in the room were quite large; although it said 0.8m for a random room, it was actually 1.1m, which was great. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. You need a password to enter the women's onsen, but not for the men's. If there are a lot of people, you might have to wait for the private onsen. We arrived on a Sunday, so it wasn't too crowded, and the experience was fantastic! After soaking in the onsen, there are free cold drinks you can help yourself to, and at 10 PM, there are free noodles in the lobby on the first floor. This hotel seems to have a lot of Korean guests, and the front desk staff were very friendly. I'd definitely come back if I get the chance!

Qian ChinCelebrated 520 (May 20th) by booking a more upscale meal that day, and the experience was great ❤️. The location is fantastic! It's a 5-minute walk to Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell), so we went straight there after breakfast when it was less crowded. Regarding service, I have to say: it was the rainy season, and there were many staff members standing at the entrance, but they only bowed. It felt awkward watching adults and children run into the hotel in the rain to check in, and checking out involved carrying our own luggage in the rain too.

Anonymous UserEverything was perfect in this hotel! Room is spacious and there are both indoor and outdoor private onsen in the room. The futon was the softest and most comfortable I’ve ever had in Japanese onsen hotels.
Dinner was amazing and breakfast was good enough. It would be better if we can choose Japanese or Western style for breakfast. We was looking for grilled fish or sth in Japanese style.
Will visit again definitely!

The environment was great, the food was delicious, and everything was perfect. It was also a great way to enjoy the outdoor family hot springs with your partner or spouse. If the weather is nice in the evening, you can even see the stars.

Anonymous UserThe room is fully equipped with amenities, so you can literally just bring yourself. The hot spring bathhouse has two indoor pools and one outdoor pool. Towels and a water dispenser are provided on-site, and there are lockers with electronic locks for your belongings. The massage service is available in-room, and the masseuses are very professional, meticulously asking about areas to focus on or avoid beforehand.

This was my first time staying at a hot spring ryokan, and I wasn't quite sure what to expect.
Upon arrival, we were offered welcome tea and snacks, and they even helped us take our luggage to the room. Our stay included dinner and breakfast, and the meals were incredibly rich and delicious. The main course for dinner was Wagyu shabu-shabu. If you don't eat beef, you can inform them in advance. If you wait until the day of, there might be an additional charge.
The room was huge, split over two floors. The bedroom was on the second floor, while the first floor mainly consisted of the living room and a private hot spring area. The private hot spring even had both indoor and outdoor sections, which was a fantastic experience.
Since I don't speak Japanese and only a little English, they were very patient in translating everything during our interactions (check-in, meal explanations, etc.).
When checking out, they escorted us to our car. During check-in, they also asked if we'd like a ride to Yufuin Station upon check-out, but since we had a private car, we didn't use that service, so I'm not sure if there's a charge for it.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

My stay at this hotel was a mixed bag, with both positive aspects and some minor issues, so I'm giving it a moderate rating.
First, let's talk about the hotel's strong points. The room was very well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, essentially meeting all my needs during the stay. The room size was also quite generous, preventing any cramped feelings and making it feel comfortable and relaxed. In this regard, the hotel definitely has an advantage.
However, there were some shortcomings regarding the environment. When making the bed, I surprisingly found a spider, which gave me quite a fright and left a somewhat unpleasant feeling. This also suggests that there might be oversights in the hotel room's cleaning and hygiene. Additionally, the bedding didn't feel very clean, which significantly detracts from the experience for anyone who values sleep hygiene.
On a positive note, the hotel's location is excellent. It's close to the beach, making it wonderfully pleasant to take a leisurely stroll by the sea. Plus, Don Quijote is right across from the hotel, making shopping extremely convenient. Free drinks are also available on the first floor.
I hope the hotel can pay more attention to daily cleaning and hygiene management, focusing on details to improve the overall environmental quality. I believe that after improvements, guests will have a much better stay, and I look forward to a different experience next time I visit.
