The hotel is okay. Airport transfer office the best. The breakfast also great. However, wifi not working at level 4. Really troublesome for business traveller. Already complaint but no action.
Had a pleasant stay here. The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained, offering good value for money. The location is convenient, with plenty of food options and shops nearby. The hotel serves a simple yet delicious breakfast. I especially enjoyed the Chinese style dishes. The dining area was also comfortable and relaxing. Staff were friendly and helpful, and check in was smooth. One minor issue was the room air conditioning was extremely cold and difficult to adjust, so we had to turn it off during our stay. Overall, still a good choice for a comfortable and affordable stay in Miri. Would consider staying here again.

Despite being a 50-year old hotel, it's surprisingly well maintained. Toilets are clean and well designed with top quality materials. Rooms are well arranged, good quality mattress and pillows, huge smart TV, and overlooking the river. The hotel is very near the main attraction of Kuching : Kuching Waterfront, a 5mins walking distance. Tons of old style shops and cafes across the road, good FnB selection. Staff are pleasant and professional.

The hotel's location is great, right next to a park, and you can enjoy the view across the river while having breakfast. The bed was large and the room was spacious. There was a slight odor when I first entered the room, possibly from the riverside sewer, but my nose is quite sensitive. After lighting an air freshener, it was generally fine. Overall, I was very satisfied with the experience. The hotel breakfast was also good and quite extensive, and the lobby offered dinner options, which was convenient. The front desk staff were very polite.
This hotel has been around for a long time, and I stay here every time I visit Kuching. The service is great, it's clean, and comfortable. Highly recommended.
The hotel offered great value for money, probably because it wasn't peak season. Our room faced west, which meant we got to see beautiful sunsets and take some fantastic photos, though it did get a bit too hot. Luckily, the air conditioning was powerful, otherwise, sleeping at night would have been impossible. The bathroom design wasn't ideal; it was too dark and cramped, definitely something that needs improvement. On the other hand, breakfast was excellent, really fantastic.
The most noteworthy feature of this hotel is the incredibly spacious rooms. After researching all the available options in Bintulu, I can confidently say that Goldenbay Hotel offers the best value for money. I would certainly choose to stay here again on my next visit to the area.
The amenities were another high point of the trip. It was a lucky coincidence that a comb was provided, as I had forgotten to pack one. Furthermore, I was impressed by the quality of the hair and body shampoos. It is rare for me to enjoy hotel-provided toiletries, but these left me feeling truly clean and lathered up well. To top it off, the rooftop offers a gorgeous view, especially during sunset.
However, there were a few drawbacks during my stay. I booked two rooms; while my room was fine, the second room had significant lighting issues. Although the reception sent a technician to help, they only managed to fix one light. Even after the repair, that room remained much dimmer than mine. Additionally, the bidet in my own bathroom was leaking. It felt a bit ironic to see multiple signs encouraging guests to save water and use the bidet instead of paper when the fixture itself wasn't working properly.
Lastly, the breakfast was a bit of a letdown. The selection was quite limited, and the taste was only average. If I return to this hotel in the future, I would likely book a room-only rate and find breakfast elsewhere.
Kings wood hotel is considered is very convenient as it’s the location is so convenient that u can just walk around the nearby market and closed to many nice places. Love yo be there again.
I had a wonderful stay at Fairfield by Marriott Bintulu. The hotel is modern, clean, and very well-maintained, making it a comfortable place to relax after a long day.
The staff were extremely friendly, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. The room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped with all the essentials, including a very comfortable bed and strong Wi-Fi.
Breakfast was enjoyable with a good variety of local and international options, and the dining area was pleasant and well-organized. The hotel’s location is also convenient, with easy access to nearby shops and key areas in Bintulu.
Overall, this hotel offers great value for money with excellent service and comfort. I would definitely recommend Fairfield by Marriott Bintulu to both business and leisure travelers, and I look forward to staying here again
👍 The view from the pool is beautiful, and the staff are very helpful. The only downside is that the parking is a bit far. They said there's no elevator from the basement to the hotel.

The main reason I selected Jinhhold Hotel & Serviced Apartment was its strategic location — it is one of the nearest hotels to Miri Airport, which made it extremely convenient for a short business stay. From check-in to check-out, the staff were superbly helpful and professional. Their warm hospitality truly stood out, making the stay comfortable and hassle-free. Requests were attended to promptly, and the service level exceeded expectations. One of the highlights of this hotel is the swimming pool — something not many hotels in Miri offer. The long infinity pool is a great feature, whether for a quick swim after work or simply to unwind. It definitely adds value, especially for longer stays. Cleanliness, amenities, and overall comfort were excellent throughout the stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to business travellers or anyone looking for a comfortable stay near the airport with good facilities and great service.
The location is perfect, with views of both Mount Santubong and the vast South China Sea. Despite coming on monsoon season, we still enjoy the view and swimming at the hilltop swimming pool. We were the only guest at the whole hilltop complex! It's a bit far from the main building where there's cafe etc but we enjoyed the quietness and the amazing view. The way to commute from our room the main building is either by the 24hr shuttle service or use the stairs downhill (beware only during the day and good weather) Food at the restaurant was good, we went for dinner and breakfast. The price also was very affordable for a hotel standard, a dinner bill total was about RM100 for 4 person! This wat at Cafe Satang. Staffs were all very helpful and well trained. Overall good experience.
Had good experience with the hotel. Location is good nearby to river , eateries and other amenities necessary for tourists. Staff was friendly and helpful. Amenities in room up to expectations and all in good working order, air-conditioner working perfectly. Only one bugbear, hotel gym need maintainance and upgrading.
As it was just a very short stay, I wasn't expecting much but it was beyond my expectation. This is one place I would like to return to and stay in Miri. It was clean even though there's some obvious paint/crack and a quite see through toilet (toilet seperated with shower) but other than that, it's very satisfying and modern. It's also closed to Miri Imperial Mall (walking distant) and Kyochon restaurant was right infront of my room. Will definitely comeback!
We like the room n swimming pool. Room clean n tidy. All hotel staff very friendly. We happy n enjoy ours stay there. We will come again and recommend to ours friends n families member too
Mercure Miri City Centre is centrally located, making it convenient for shopping, dining, and city attractions. The lobby and common areas are well designed, and the complimentary welcome gelato is a nice touch. The room is clean and comfortable but relatively small, which may not be ideal for families with children or guests needing more space. Breakfast is served buffet-style and is noticeably better than that at Pullman Hotel, offering a more satisfying start to the day. Parking can be inconvenient. The lift parking system does not accommodate higher vehicles such as 4WDs, so outdoor parking is required, which is very limited. Each entry and exit requires security assistance to open the rail gate, and the waiting time for the car lift can be long — especially inconvenient if you frequently go in and out with a car. Overall, a good option for short stays, solo travelers, or couples who value location and modern design, but less suitable for guests with larger vehicles.
My colleagues and I stayed in the Family Suite A for 3 days and 2 nights, and the experience was overall very satisfying. Room & Comfort: The suite was spacious and comfortable, which made it convenient for a group stay. The beds were clean, the air-conditioning worked well, and the room layout gave us enough space to relax and work comfortably. The bathroom was clean and well-kept. Cleanliness: Housekeeping maintained the room nicely throughout our stay. Fresh towels were provided daily, and the room felt tidy and pleasant. Facilities: The hotel offers good facilities, and the parking was easy to access. Wi-Fi connection was acceptable for basic work and browsing. Location: Strategically located with easy access to nearby restaurants, convenience stores, and places around Bintulu. Very practical for work trips. Service: The staff were polite, helpful, and efficient. Check-in and check-out processes were smooth, and any requests we made were attended to promptly. Overall: A comfortable and spacious option for colleagues travelling together. Good value for money and a convenient stay for work-related trips. We would consider staying here again.
