Truly, we have so many sweet and unforgetable memories during our stay in Pan Pacific Hotel Suchou. We booked ”Family Two Bedrooms” for 4 of us & this room was the best family room we ever had. This room has 2 spacious bedrooms, 2 clean bathrooms and a mini kitchen with refridgerator, microwave and sink that made our in-room experience was very comfortable. The housekeeping was also very kind plus their excellent services to mention. We remember this Ms. Xia Ning, a room attendant, who left a beautiful postcard in our room with her heartful and warm greetings with her own handwritings to make sure we had comfortable stay and satisfied. We are surely touched by her beyond service. The hotel's breakfast was one of the best with so various dishes and all were delicious. Some food were resembling the famous and delicate Chinese cuisines. We fully enjoyed Pan Pacific Suzhou Hotel's Panmen Scenic Area. The scenes of their large beautiful garden at noon and at night was unforgetable. We had a chance to try Chinese traditional clothings from Wu Palace Hanfu Experience Center (with Ms. Yichen's generous assistance) and also one-hour cheongsam experience (for women) that helped us to take many beautiful memorable photos. Other hotel's enjoyable benefits include Suzhou Memories-Wu Palace Historical, Collection of Passport Documents for Wu Palace, Tai Chi Experience, CNY 100 SPA voucher at Jialiya Spa & Free self-service laundry and drying. It surely gave us worth time to spent in the hotel. Our sweet 5-star experience with Pan Pacific Suzhou Hotel this time surely will make us to come back to this great hotel in our next visit to Suzhou.

When choosing a hotel, my top pick is always Shangri-La. Staying at a Shangri-La hotel feels just like home – it's warm, comfortable, and the service is incredibly attentive and top-notch. No matter which Shangri-La property I visit, the service standards are consistently excellent. My recent stay at the Shangri-La Nanjing allowed me to fully rest and relax after a tiring journey, and the culinary offerings were truly delightful. The hotel's ambiance is luxurious yet understated, elegant, and peaceful. The air always carries that distinctive, wonderful scent unique to all Shangri-La hotels, creating a warm, sophisticated, and refined atmosphere. The staff's service attitude is impeccable: polite, genuinely smiling, and thoughtful, all thanks to Shangri-La's thorough and comprehensive training system. In short, Shangri-La hotels are always my first choice for travel.

The hotel's location is a bit small, and parking can be a hassle, though the staff did help guide us. Now for the complaints: First, there's absolutely no artificial greenery or landscaping as advertised. The subway construction outside is very loud, and the soundproofing in the room is terrible! Also, the 'afternoon tea' is just some tea bags for you to brew yourself – no cakes or anything like that. The room key card next to it shows how tiny it all is. Honestly, they shouldn't even bother offering it!

The location is super central and convenient for getting anywhere. The front desk service was decent, but I have to complain about the room. The facilities are really old, and the bathroom was the most absurd I've ever encountered. The showerhead is above the bathtub, so you have to stand inside the tub to shower, which felt a bit unhygienic. Plus, there's no exhaust fan in the bathroom, so it got incredibly hot after a shower. One mirror against the wall was even hot to the touch for some unknown reason. Overall, the space was cramped and definitely didn't have the comfort of a five-star hotel.

Location: Super convenient! Confucius Temple, Fuguo Street, Suning Mall, Golden Eagle, Hubushan, and Huilongwo are all within walking distance. The subway station is right downstairs, which is a huge plus, especially during Golden Week when traffic can be a nightmare. It's definitely a landmark building in the absolute city center. Cleanliness: Better than expected, but since it's on a high floor, all the windows are sealed. I personally prefer good ventilation. Facilities: Better than expected, but the hairdryer was a bit basic. Service: The housekeeping staff and the cheerful young man who seated us in the restaurant were all very polite and genuinely enthusiastic, not just mechanically so.

Choosing Andu Hotel for my Suzhou trip was such a smart decision! The hotel is perfectly located on Jingde Road in Gusu District. It's within walking distance of popular attractions like Shantang Street and Guanqian Street, and close to the subway station, making getting around super convenient. There are tons of great food options nearby, perfect for both sightseeing and dining. The hotel's design beautifully blends Suzhou garden aesthetics with modern simplicity, creating a tranquil and elegant atmosphere. My room was clean and tidy, with all the smart amenities you could ask for, including a Dyson hairdryer and high-quality Afu toiletries. The service was warm and attentive, and the complimentary Hanfu experience was a delightful surprise. Excellent value for money, I highly recommend it!

When I was choosing a hotel, I was a bit hesitant. Since I was traveling with elders, I figured the Shangri-La Hotel would be a safe bet. I had seen some negative reviews online before, which made me a little worried. However, after staying there myself this time, I found it wasn't as bad as those reviews made it out to be. I'd personally rate it at least an 85 out of 100. On the first day, we checked in around 4 PM. I asked the front desk if we could have rooms on the same floor as my elders, and it took them about 20 minutes to arrange it for us. Although the efficiency wasn't great, I was still quite grateful. After checking in, we went to the executive lounge for dinner. Even though they called it 'light meals,' there were plenty of options, and the food tasted good. We definitely got our fill. The view from the 26th floor was also excellent. After dinner, we went for a swim; the pool was very clean and not crowded, so it was a pleasant experience. For breakfast on the second day, there were many local specialty noodles and wontons, and a good variety. However, there weren't many Western options, making it feel less international. On our last day, since our high-speed train was at 4:30 PM, we asked the hotel for a late check-out, which they kindly granted. We even managed to have a meal at the Shang Palace when we returned to the hotel around 1:30 PM. Overall, my stay was good. However, the hotel's details still need improvement. Personally, I found the air conditioning to be a bit noisy, perhaps due to older equipment. The service staff's service awareness also needs to be enhanced. I saw quite a few staff members on their phones during work hours.

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient. It's just three subway stops from Nanjing Railway Station, and then a short 300-meter walk from the subway exit. Getting to nearby attractions is also very easy. The room was spacious, and the view of Xuanwu Lake from outside our room was absolutely stunning. They even provided a complimentary afternoon tea that was not only beautiful but also quite tasty. When we checked out, they kindly extended our checkout time to 3:00 PM and gave us a parting gift of body lotion and a FUFU plush toy. The breakfast spread was also incredibly rich and varied. We also had a dedicated butler service; whenever we ordered takeout, our butler Alice would promptly deliver it to our room, much faster than any robot could. Alice was also very thoughtful, sending us numerous travel guides and food recommendations. Overall, it's excellent value for money and highly recommended!

The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was good, so I had a great rest. Jackson provided warm and efficient service, and check-in was quick. The breakfast selection was rich and delicious. The overall environment is quiet and elegant with complete facilities. It's perfect for both business trips and leisure travel. XXavierasyI booked a suite for 2 nights at the Courtyard by Marriott the night before I came from Xi'an because I wanted to visit Niushoushan, Jinling Xiaocheng, and other tourist spots nearby. The location of the Courtyard is actually not bad; it's right beside the Hedingqiao metro station, and many food booths and convenience stores are just downstairs. You can buy takeaway at any time. The reception staff is nice and helpful and can speak very good English, no doubt. The worst was the concierge. One of the concierge staff has been playing on his cellphone every single moment. I took Didi or the metro at least 4 or 5 times every day. Every time I pass through the entrance, he is playing on his phone. The most frustrating part was when I ordered takeaway through the app. The delivery man said he placed it on the concierge cart right next to that guy, but someone took my package, and he didn't notice. YEAH, How could he possibly know if he was preoccupied with his phone ?!

HHan - JunThe hotel is new and very clean. The front desk staff are friendly and always willing to help, even though I’m a foreign traveler. The location is truly excellent. The hotel is right in the Pingjiang Road area—one of the most beautiful and famous ancient streets in Suzhou. Just step outside and you can enjoy a relaxing walk along the canals, admire traditional houses, and explore charming cafés and small local shops. It’s also about 3 km from Shantang Road, around a 15-minute taxi ride. At night, the area lights up beautifully, creating a very charming atmosphere.

GGuest UserI booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations. We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby. We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed. Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel. This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance. We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again. Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed. When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet. Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel.

CChifanpeiyinliaoThis hotel is definitely a great place to walk your kids! The ecology is very good! We even saw a hare! But maybe it’s because it’s outdoors! It seems like the door to the candy room is a little broken! Not so easy to close! Then the electric cars in the park require money to use but they are too slow! And the cost is a bit high! The service attitude at the front desk is very good! Very eager to help! The road to the swimming pool is not easy to walk! Must be very careful! It's easy to fall! The locker room environment needs cleaning! The interior of the room is clean and acceptable!

GGuest UserExcellent service, we received a free room upgrade. The hotel was spotless, and attention to detail was impeccable. The atmosphere was elegant, and breakfast was abundant. From its location, design, and cleanliness to the quality of service, this hotel is truly faultless. It offers incredible value for money, and my stay far exceeded expectations. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Suzhou! It's right next to Nanhe North Road Station on Metro Line 5, making it incredibly convenient to get around. A short walk takes you to the vibrant Shiquan Street and the exquisite Master of the Nets Garden, and a taxi ride to Pingjiang Road or Guanqian Street costs just the minimum fare. The hotel is located above the Hanyu Square mall, which has everything you could need for dining, entertainment, and shopping, truly offering 'urban convenience with tranquil living'.

MMrasjunTraveling to Nanjing with friends, we chose the Novotel Nanjing Central (Xin Jie Kou), an established brand, and booked three rooms. Pros: The location is excellent, right in the city center with convenient transportation. There are many snack shops downstairs, a Ruixing Coffee and a Peet's Coffee across the street, and an M Coffee right in the lobby. It's easy to get anywhere. They upgraded our rooms for free after we communicated with customer service before check-in, which was very much appreciated. The rooms were clean, the bathroom lights were bright, and there was a mini-fridge. As it's an older hotel, it's understandable that some of the facilities are a bit dated. Cons: The front desk staff checking us in had a sour face. She took our IDs but before finishing our check-in, she started assisting the next person in line. I simply said, 'First come, first served, please handle us one by one.' I don't think I said anything wrong, but the shorter front desk lady immediately put on a stern face. Keep in mind, the front desk service is crucial for a hotel's image, especially for an established four-star hotel. The most disappointing aspect, however, was the breakfast. The duck blood vermicelli soup broth was clear, bland, and tasteless, and the breakfast selection was very limited, not meeting four-star standards. My friend had a cold and cough and asked if they had any emergency medicine like Tylenol or cold medicine, but they didn't, which is surprising for a four-star hotel. The breakfast here is significantly worse compared to other Novotel branches.
