This hotel was a pleasant surprise! I usually go for the complimentary hotel options with my layovers, but choosing this one, even for under 100 RMB, was a real win. It's incredibly clean, spacious, and super convenient with its proximity to the airport and free shuttle service. They even gave us complimentary flower cakes, which were delicious! Honestly, I can't find a single fault. Service: 5/5 stars! The shuttle service to and from Changshui Airport was excellent. The driver was so helpful, loading and unloading everyone's luggage. What struck me was that hardly anyone thanked him. It felt… I don't even know how to describe it. I made sure to say thank you, and the driver responded, which really touched me. I mean, isn't a simple 'thank you' just basic courtesy, even if it's part of their job? It doesn't cost anything, but it can certainly make someone feel appreciated.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, right above a pedestrian street and a mere 3-5 minute walk from the subway station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The rooms are clean, well-equipped, and the breakfast spread is generous. The staff provides exceptional service; when our room was too warm, they promptly brought an air purifier to cool it down, which was a very thoughtful touch. Highly recommended!

A great weekend!! Caught up with Mother's Day, I took my mother to rest for a day. I felt super relaxed from the moment I entered the hotel. The environment is beautiful and the green vegetation covers a large area. Before check-in, Miss Niki (?) contacted and arranged a room upgrade. I am super grateful🥹You can see the jacaranda and blue sky outside from the balcony and feel the wind. The quality of the double breakfast and lunch rice noodle set in the set is absolutely impeccable. There are various snacks. You can try all kinds of small bowls. Paoruda is the best😋The lemon and sour spicy chicken feet in the set are super delicious. I also went to the Chinese restaurant to take a portion home before leaving. Thanks to every staff member I met, including but not limited to Brother Cai Liping at the front desk, Brother Gu Dezhong in the Western restaurant, and a small but energetic lady in the Chinese restaurant (I met her at noon on 5.9/10). I hope I didn’t write everyone’s name wrong🙈 See you next time! ! Definitely come again!

This review is similar to the one above because I booked two packages—a two-day, one-night stay and a one-day stay—totaling three nights, and I had a fantastic experience. The hotel's overall service, facilities, value for money, and location are all excellent. If I visit Kunming again, I'll definitely stay here. The hotel also perfectly balances human-centered service with self-service options. Not only are there two self-service laundry rooms with washer-dryers, but drinking water is also conveniently placed on tables near the elevator on each floor. Guests can simply grab it when needed, which saves the hassle of constantly calling the front desk for delivery and prevents the hotel's little robots from being overworked! 😂

Tonight, I made a last-minute check-in at the 'Cuihu Hotel', designed by I.M. Pei. It was unplanned, but a delightful surprise. In my opinion, a hotel isn't a museum; its 'sense of history' should be elegant, not heavy, and its 'vintage feel' should be classic, not dated. Before arriving, I was very worried this 69-year-old hotel would feel stuffy and decayed. To my surprise, Cuihu Hotel strikes the perfect balance and shows great wisdom. For example, the public area ceilings are adorned with 24K gold leaf, and the murals feature maple wood relief carvings with gold accents – aesthetics that are certainly a product of their time [tears of joy emoji]. However, they've now added many art pieces to temper this 'bling' and enhance the elegance and scholarly vibe. Even the subtle classical jazz music and the light, delicate fragrance filling the air inject a fresh, youthful spirit into the overall ambiance. Yet, the common issues of older hotels persist: outdated facilities, bathtub design, and those unsightly large pillars… This leaves me feeling conflicted, both loving and hating it, and hesitant about whether I'd stay here again (especially with kids). What truly stood out was the check-in experience: the front desk gifted us fresh roses, a succulent potted plant, and a postcard as souvenirs. In the room, there was a handwritten card, red-billed gull biscuits, Yunnan small-bean coffee powder with a Moka pot. They even pre-arranged a bedtime dessert and a crib bumper. For welcome fruits, the housekeeping auntie knocked on our door with a basket, letting us choose our own! 😄 These interactions significantly elevated the stay, even adding a wonderful touch to my overall impression of this Yunnan trip. In summary, it has history but struggles with modernity; thankfully, the details, service, and quality are all excellent 👍. P.S. The room upgrade was successful, and my 'begging' for it went very smoothly.

The rooms are clean and tidy, the service is warm and attentive, and the facilities are complete. The lobby has a strong artistic design. The hotel also features a hot spring, swimming pool, and gym. The environment is beautiful, a garden-style hotel with lush greenery, quiet, and within walking distance to Haigeng Dam, Yunnan Nationalities Village, and Haigeng Park. The hotel's breakfast offers a wide variety, and the Chinese restaurant serves delicious food, especially the clay pot rice. We initially planned to stay for two days but extended our stay for a few more.

The lady at the front desk was incredibly kind and thoughtful. They even had kids' slippers and welcome fruit for my two little ones, which was so heartwarming. She also helped with our luggage, gave me a travel map for Kunming, and provided all-around excellent service. Thumbs up, indeed! The hot springs were also very comfortable, and they even provided food to feed the seagulls. The next day, my kids were asleep, so they let us check out late free of charge, and even offered a room upgrade. Staying here with elderly family and children was truly stress-free ❤️. I even added them on WeChat; I'll definitely stay here again next time! 🫰🏻 (I've never reviewed a place this thoroughly before, haha!)

A decent hotel, but the AI ​​assistant, Xiao Du, was exceptionally helpful; she played whatever lullabies I asked for when I couldn't sleep. The huge balcony was a real plus. Breakfast was average, but the wontons were particularly delicious – a big thumbs up!

Beautiful views - the rooms are simple but great for a trip to the rice terraces. We had a problem with the restaurant food on the first night but the problem was promptly resolved by the manager which was much appreciated. The goat hotpot did not come with slice d meat for cooking as expected. Instead all meat was already in the pot (quantity not enough for 2 people as mainly fat and bones which I did not enjoy eating). However the manager offered to remedy this problem by presenting a plate of sliced meat. This show good attitude in resolving problems. Highly recommended.The following evening he made good recommendations for dinner and we enjoyed the food very much.

Hyatt Centric Lijiang Jinmao is truly a hidden gem beneath the snow-capped mountains! The front desk service was incredibly attentive; they patiently answered all my questions during check-in, showcasing the typical Hyatt standard of excellence in every detail. The room was adorned with Naxi wood carvings and Dongba elements, and the Chinese-style courtyard with its flowing stream was delightful. It's just a 15-minute walk to Shuhe Ancient Town. Waking up to the golden glow on the snow mountains and falling asleep under a sky full of stars was magical. Plus, you can enjoy your meals with a view of the snow mountains. The entire experience was fantastic! A special shout-out to Louise at the front desk for making our check-out so swift!
