Taipei Homestays

I’ve stayed a lot of places in this has by far been my worst experience in years. I think as far as the location and amenities and the cleanliness everything is fine. But I tried to cancel my booking they refuse because somebody is snoring so loudly I can’t sleep from 2 AM to 7 AM. It’s impossible for me to sleep. so then I finally get a few hours of sleep I’m awake and I am packing my stuff getting ready to leave and they promptly come right at 12 o’clock as I’m already leaving, the system they have in the checkout has them want to charge me. The front desk was pretty rude to me as I was leaving I told them this isn’t fair. Also, as I was leaving, there was a European guy there was working for the place. He was doing his daily activities and I was offering to clean the bathroom by taking out the trash that was overflowing and he freaked out at me and told me to put it back. let’s just say it was a horrible night and even worse but luckily the dumplings that were right outside put me in a better mood. I wasn’t going to leave a review, but I noticed that the Fun Inn (that was nothing but fine. I asked a few people if they were busy they were just sitting around on their phones and they all said they were) had already sent Trip.com a message that I had checked out a couple minutes late. Well, I just wanna let everybody know that this could stay anywhere else other than that place.

A bit tucked away so had some difficulty trying to locate it the first time I arrived but there is a large night market about two minutes away which made the stay worth it. Very clean, kind and helpful staff with an efficient check in/out service

If you do not have claustrophobia, this room is great for you. It just fit a bed and a dressing table. There isn't much space for a luggage, mostly good for backpacker. Down side, there is no double lock for the room itself.

What a fantastic hostel. The room is very clean and odorless. Each bunk bed came with a security locker that can only be open up when you swipe your room card. The common toilet and shower rooms are super clean. However, it will be great if the temperature of the hot water for shower can be consistent, not jumping from hot to cold within a while. The breakfast quality is great. Their BLT sandwich and milk tea is superb. And, most importantly, their outdoor environment within the compound is so relaxing where you can inhale the fresh air.

The location is very good, just a few tens of meters from the exit of the MRT, the elevator is directly accessible, the actual check-in has to wait until after 4 o'clock, the sound insulation effect is very poor, the corridors can be heard clearly, and the toilet is faulty. It should be repaired soon.

Just 10mins walk from Ximen station, staff was friendly and the room was clean and affordable. 😁😁😁 They offer king size bed !!! 😍😍😍

This is by far the most excellent capsule hotel I've ever stayed. They provided more than what I have expected in a capsule hotel. The bathroom is the best with super complete amenities and toiletries (shampoo, body wash, Mouthwash, Cotton Buds, Facial Cleanser, Dental floss, Liner, Blower). The kitchen is well equipped with unli supply of coffee Americano, various tea bags, candies, biscuits. There's also a washing machine and dryer. The capsule room is very spacious it's almost a studio size unit. I love that there's a big cabinet inside with a lock activated by the keycard so your things are really secured and safe. There's also a table enough space for laptop and other small stuffs. The bed and comforter are very comfortable. The staffs are very accommodating and hardworking on how they make sure the facilities are clean. I also appreciate that they offer safekeeping of luggages overnight for a cheap price compared to the locker rentals outside. I left my luggage for 2 nights for 50NTD per night since I need to go to Taichung and will also go back and stay again with them. But it's free if you'll leave it for just a few hours only provided it's not outside their office hours. I will stay here again when I come back in Taiwan and will also recommend.

(Economy Double Room in early December 2022-Used for 1 person) ■ Good points It was close to Beimen Station, Ningxia Road Night Market, and the southern end of Dihua Street. I was looking for an affordable private room (with toilet shower) that I could walk to Dihua Street, so it was suitable for my needs. The bath and toilet were separated by glass 々, so the toilet did not get wet. Some word of mouth said that towels were rented for a fee, but they were usually placed in the room from the beginning and were free. Indoor sandals were also placed in the room. The number of outlets and the distance from the bed were also close, which was helpful. Both the communal kitchen, lounge and room were clean. There were several kinds of free tea bags. I don't know what Japanese is at the front desk, but there was no problem with the exchange in English. I was grateful that check-out was until 12 o'clock. Depending on the season, I may use it again. ■ Unfortunately, there was no heating and refrigerator in the room (because it was the beginning of December, heating was unnecessary and there were days when I used air conditioning, but I asked in advance and got extra feathers). I was going to frozen and bring back food, so if I knew in advance, I might have booked another place. In fact, I could use the freezer of the shared refrigerator on the same floor, so as a result there was no problem. Eating and drinking other than water seemed to be prohibited in the room, but it is not certain whether it is a corona measure. When I opened the curtain, I couldn't open the window because I was worried about other people's eyes. I wanted a full-length mirror. There was a terrace in the lounge, but it was a pity that I couldn't feel like going out because it also served as a smoking area. ■ Note (some people may be worried) There are many steps in the room and some people may be a problem. There was plenty of space for the chairs, so I could sit on the floor and use the table (shelf?) directly attached to the wall, so there was no problem. I don't know about the communal kitchen and lounge because I don't use the main one at the front desk, but the small one on the floor of my room is prohibited from using the lounge in the midnight zone. I don't think there was coffee in the kitchen. The front desk is closed at night as of December 1st on weekdays. This hostel is a type of hostel with a part of the miscellaneous building (tobitobi) which is common in Taiwan. The building manager is often in front of the elevator on the １ floor, but the entrance and exit of the building are open during the day. I was a little worried about the house next door close to the so-called garbage residence, but I felt that there was no problem with security in the street itself.

Great. I arrived late and they emailed me regarding the self check in policy after 10pm on the day of. It was not a hassle. Out of all the backpacker hostels I've stayed in in taipei this one is probably the nicest. Bathrooms were clean. Water is good pressure and hot. Just a few flights of stairs. Close to main station.

This is a very good youth hostel. It is very suitable for people traveling alone, especially girls. I really appreciate that this youth hostel provides dormitories with all girls on the floor, which gives a sense of security. Moreover, the youth hostel is very cost-effective, with sufficient facilities and new and clean beds. Although it is a room for many people, the room is very quiet during sleeping hours, which is very satisfactory. The girls also obey the rules and keep the room quiet. One surprise is that the hostel provides a flush toilet! Very nice! The beds provided by the hotel are similar to those in a space warehouse, with a high degree of privacy and wide enough beds. The location of the hostel is convenient, close to Zhongshan Elementary School Station (Exit 1). There is a 7-11 downstairs and a restaurant, making it easy to find food.
