A wonderful experience, away from the noise of care, allowing you to relax deliciously ... The rooms are very comfortable and the green areas make it the perfect place to be. Thanks to the staff, they treated us as kings and were very kind.

Hotel Reina del Mar by Dorado

This little resort is phenomenal. It’s like a little Shangi-la, or a little White Lots. We were there for our 20th anniversary and you get to know everyone there…. Angie with the stupendous margaritas, big Javier the groundskeeper, and little Javier the tour boat captain. Breakfast is glorious, dinner is great. Such a easy commute across the sand, barefoot to the restaurant. The sun stays behind the palms, and you can move the chairs into the full sun easy. Check in was easy, prices were way better than we expected. It is not a sprawling all-inclusive. It is quaint and intimate. The rooms are small, but we never stayed in them.
Caribbean Island Hotel

Situated right by the beach, what you pay for in abundance at this hotel is the location. However away from this we did have an enjoyable stay all round. Three rooms across six nights, one was a small double, the other two slightly larger apartments with kitchenettes and a balcony. All were clean, had working A/C and ample extras such as plates, cutlery and cable TV. Location-wise the hotel's entrance leads directly on to the beach and has a Presto (fast food) and multiple shops just a couple of minutes walk away. We expected noise due to the proximity to the beach, but heard virtually nothing each evening. The staff were helpful in many aspects from swiftly replacing the gas, to recommending tours or even just aiding in purchasing medicine to be delivered to the hotel. There is also reasonably priced soft drinks and water to purchase in the lobby alongside towels being provided for the beach free of charge. The rooms were cleaned daily and we had no issues with the cleanliness. The bathroom grouting on the shower did leak near the toilet, but this didn't impact on its use at all. WiFi, as expected, isn't brilliant, but you have to remember this is the same across the island. In terms of cost, it's not cheap and you can stay at similar places for less inland, however if you want to enjoy the beach and the beauty of San Andres this is a good little stay.
Hotel Boutique Casa Hendaus - Adults Only

Blissful Experience on Beautiful San Andres This trip was our first time in Colombia and our first time in San Andres. Initially we reserved and stayed one night at another property on the southwest end of the island. Although it was across the road from the ocean with a stunning view and with a great beach just to the south down the road, it was very far away from everything. The boutique hotel Casa Hendaus found us. We thought that there weren't anymore ”nice” places available when we booked our initial lodging. We found and booked Casa Hendaus just hours after realizing the other location would not work. By the way, English is my first language. The evening manager does not speak English but was patient when I explained my needs in basic Spanish. One look was all it took! From the lobby to 2nd floor pool lounge to the top floor breakfast area, the entire property is beautiful. Beyond beautiful...blissful. One can realize quickly that EVERY element of the property was considered by a thoughtful human wish you to feel bliss. Experience the property for yourself. Meet Rebecca, the day manager, who is fluent in English. Her recommendations were so helpful! From dinner options to taxis she helped us whenever we needed it. Every morning, meet the morning staff who prepares and serves your meal in the penthouse breakfast area. Meet your room attendants who faithfully restore your room to a comfortable condition to receive you at day's end. Even meet the grounds person and maintenance person, both careful caretakers of the greenery and property. I even had the pleasure of meeting the owner. You could walk here from the airport in 20 minutes. If there was no fence, you could be there in 5 minutes! But a 5 minute taxi ride for certain. The beach and boardwalk area is about 20 minutes walking. Downtown or El Centro is about 30 minutes. The ocean and sunset is out the door, to the left, 7 minutes away. Enjoy your stay!!!
Aqualina Inn
4.2/525 Reviews
