Boban Luxury Suites
4.1/548 Reviews
We stayed for a week in early October, and had a great time. First of all, the reception staff were really good - friendly, helpful, seemed genuinely interested in what we were doing, and if they could help etc. Excellent. We were on floor 3 (room 2) which meant we had a great view over the roofs with the sea in the distance. The balcony was small but big enough for a couple of seats and a table, and it had the sun from dawn until dusk. The room itself was nice - really large bed, and as it was a fairly big room, plenty of space for two people to walk around and not get in each others way! Fridge and safe were both included at no extra charge. Breakfast was nice - plenty to fill us up and serving until 11am meant there was no rush. Location wise, we found it ideal. Being in the old city would be nice, but this is only a short walk away (20 mins?) and could be either along the beach (paved path the whole way) or was a simple straight road down through the town. We did get a few Ubers which cost 5.50 each way. We're happy as long as we're in easy reach of the action. The beaches are a 5-10 minutes walk - depending on your preference for sand/pebbles/rocks, you can just walk along the path until you find a spot you like as there's a bit of everything. Shops and bars along the seafront too, so that's good if you need anything. The swimming pool area was quiet and relaxing - plenty of sun during the day, and although the pool itself was cold, it was really nice once you're in! Although it's only a few minutes walk to quite lively shops/cafes/bars, the hotel was just off a quiet street and felt really calm considering how close everything was. Overall we were really pleased with our choice, no complaints at all (we did have a noisy air con unit outside on the wall, but this was sorted the same day as we mentioned it - again, great work from the staff!) If we find ourselves in Split again, then I would be more than happy to stay here!
House Sandra

We only stayed at House Sandra for one night but really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect. It’s a 10 minute walk to the old town / tourist area - far enough away to be out of the noise of the town but easily close enough to walk in and out. There is a supermarket less than a 5 minute walk and a nice pizza restaurant just 2 minutes walk away. The room we had was on the top floor. (A bit tricky taking a large, heavy suitcase up the stairs to the entrance hall and again to the main room - but you only have to do it once). The room was really spacious with a fridge, coffee machine, and some plates and cutlery. It had good air conditioning and the TV had Netflix and Amazon Prime installed (although you need your own account details). There was also a large sofa which could easily sleep another person. The bathroom was also a good size - it had a shower but no bath. Everything was spotless. I can’t think of anything bad / negative to say about House Sandra.
Luxury Rooms Floramye
4.6/540 Reviews
The accommodation has several separate rooms all accessed from a main door to the building then a separate key coded door to a small foyer for Luxury Rooms Floramye and again a separate key code for access to the individual rooms. Very secure and no need to worry about swipe cards or keys to gain access. The foyer had maps of the main tourist area that guests can take along with some other brochures. A stand with umbrellas for guest use was also in the foyer and a small tub chair. The room I stayed in was large along with a separate large bathroom. The room contained a large bed with nice linen. A tub chair and another chair and small table that had coffee brewing machine, electric jug and mugs and glasses and spoon, bottle opener and cork screw. A small fridge (no freezer) was located under the small table enough to cool some water or drinks or a small amount of refrigerated food or milk. A medium sized television on the wall with local channels with the ability to log into Netflix using your own account if you have a subscription . Two large windows with shutters enabled light and air to be controlled in the room. There is also an air conditioning unit. Plenty of lights and power points including USB ports. A large wardrobe with hangers that also has some shelves on one side that has a safe and medical box. There are also multiple supermarkets near the accommodation and a few small food/cafe places and bakery very close by. There is a little traffic noise in the morning and evening rush hour but I had no problem with this and slept well . The WiFi in the room was very good. The bathroom has towels , hand towel, face washer and bath mat. There is also a hair dryer and heated drying rack on the wall for drying towels and power point and a shaver power point. The bathroom cabinet has two drawers for storing items in. The shower has two glass sliding doors for easy access and has a rainfall shower head and a smaller shower head that can also be hand held. Plenty of hot water was always available. The walk to the Riva or the bus station and ferry is approx 15 mins and with two wheeled luggage I had no trouble walking to the accommodation after arriving by train late in the evening. The other main bus station for city or urban buses was also approx 15 min walk. I would say the location is walkable but for those with a lot of luggage or not prone to walking after a day of sightseeing you may prefer to get transportation by bus or taxi . Overall I would rate this accommodation very highly . The owner communicated well and replied promptly with information about my stay and codes to gain access. I had no issues during my stay, with other guests from the other rooms coming and going always being respectful and as quiet as possible.
Sunset Split Rooms

This is the perfect little hotel on the beach! The staff who run the hotel, are a lovely family, who went out of the way to help us. We stayed towards the end of September so Podstrana and Split, seemed to be leaving peek season which is perfect for us! This also means the beach and beach bar at the hotel is not to busy, which was perfect! The rooms are clean and modern and the hotel and bar are to. We had a room with a side balcony, so are view was not ocean view, and surprisingly quiet. The fact there is a bar and restaurant below, we where not disturbed once. I think the rooms are nicer than some of the online photos, we where presently surprised all round its generally nicer than the photos. Again normally with hotels its the opposite ! Bar and restaurant has a huge range of drinks and cocktails! Very fresh food, and the portions are huge! The breakfast is fantastic, they will cook you omelettes, bacon etc on request, which personally I prefer as its fresh. There is continental to, breads and meats cheese, cereal, fresh pastries and fresh fruit. They have loads of spreads and pate etc and yogurts. Alongside fresh juices and coffees. As far as breakfast included in a stay goes 10/10. We arrived early so they did make effort to arrange are room, which was nice and are credit card had a issue with paying, so the lady spent 30 minutes talking to our bank and there’s, in tern it was a problem with there merchant bank. Most receptions would not go to this length to help with a payment. So all in all the management is exceptional! Its the perfect location for relaxing and if you like a smaller more family run vibe. As it was a last minute booking we always try and get some sun towards autumn ( long was till Europe gets warm again in may ! Haha! ), we couldn’t have picked a better time or place. It has a more quiet and chilled vibe than hvar and split, but I would recommend basing somewhere relaxing as you can find a party on most of the islands and beach beach clubs in split.
Azur Palace Luxury Rooms
4.4/590 Reviews
We had the best stay at the Azur palace . Excellent location, less than 5 mins to the palace. The rooms and the building is stunning really trendy but also has the character of the building. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Gave us maps with restaurant recommendations which were excellent. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if back in Split. Rooms are very big and comfortable with rituals toiletries.
La Porta Luxury Rooms
4.4/549 Reviews
The apartment building is in the old town just opposite the Silver Gate and harbors different owners. La Porta is on the 4th floor (no Lift), 78 steps up. Parking is not that easy, but the extremely friendly and helpful Tony waited for us at a nearby parking area (15 euros per day) and brought us up to the apartment in a little electric vehicle. The room is nicely decorated, new and modern. There is a fridge and a water cooker. Two separate beds and a table. It is very quiet.
Marmontova Luxury Rooms
4.5/599 Reviews
Well what can I say about these so called luxury rooms. Although they are located in one of the main streets they are difficult to find. The rooms are on the third level and I’m sorry to say as the old building is heritage listed there are no lifts and to climb the stairs in summer is a task, especially with out air conditioning. The hotel staff help to carry your luggage up the three flights of stairs The rooms are clean and tidy but nothing to rave about . If you book to include breakfast this is provided at a nearby restaurant. Many retail shops and restaurants are also nearby. Location of the accommodation in the middle of the town is a bonus
Vila Angela

The owners were very rude. I was going to give a good review, even though we had some problems at first (breakfast was very poor, the toilet seat would not stay in position, inside the shower was the water heater, there was no one at the reception desk, only early in the morning and many many more). The worst thing happened as we were leaving. We weren't told that we had to pay in cash and we didn't have any. For 1 hour and a half my husband wondered around looking for an ATM machine to get cash. I told them to charge my credit card through the website and the refused and the lady told me (with the few English words that she knew) that it was my problem, not hers. They even refused that if we canceled the reservation, they would charge my credit card, even after I showed them the website that said it clearly. They simply didn't want to help us at all. They just sat there, staring at us, waiting for us to come up with a solution. Eventually we did, but we should we? It was the day that we were leaving Croatia, we had a very long day ahead of us, why should we exhaust ourselves over someone who does not care about their customers? I repeat, my husband was wondering around for 1 and a half hour guys. They could have told us earlier but they didn't. They responded to my comment that they threatened us to call the police because we didn't want to pay. That's a big fat lie. I was talking to the owner's son because she doesn't speak English. I don't know if he never translated that, but we were never threatened, simply because we wanted to pay. Even if we left without paying, they could charge my credit card. We wanted to pay, but they should have told us that we had to pay in cash at least a day earlier. But how would they do that, since NOBODY was working? NOBODY was at the reception. Way too expensive accommodation for what they are offering and very rude owners.

Trogir Old Town
This came very close to being a 5-star review, but there are one or two rough edges that pulled the score down to 4-star The location is excellent. Being close to the centre of the old town of Trogir, but at the same time being close enough to the walls to mean not dragging luggage too far. We elected for the apartment with roof terrace, and it was a perfect choice for us. Views across the roofs of Trogir from every window - and our own private roof terrace with views to the west and the sunsets As the weather was changing while we were there, we were also grateful for the air conditioning that also had a heat setting! We'd paid extra for breakfast, but hadn't realised that this was actually provided in a separate building - a cafe owned by the same company I think, Unfortunately they did not start serving breakfast until 9am, which was far too late for the days we wanted to be out sightseeing. We ended up not using the breakfasts we'd paid for - in future we would put that money towards stocking up the kitchen. We knew that the apartment was up in the roof, but weren't quite expecting the ceilings to be so low in half the bedroom and half the kitchen. If you are above average height you will really struggle The directions for the local parking and the meeting point were very clear (unlike what some other reviewers have said) BUT our arrival was marred by the fact that despite giving them clear notification of when we would arrive, they had some other guests to deal with at the last minute. With the result that we were waiting for over 20 minutes at the door of the property for someone to attend to us. Didn't really make us feel like valued guests to start with, although the staff we did deal with were unfailingly polite and helpful. It was just a pity that the stay started badly On the subject of parking, it's OK to park close by to unload luggage, but as Villa Meri say, it's too expensive for longer term parking. They did give us a choice of parking places, and we went for the cheapest option - which was a 10 minute walk (unfortunately the shortcut pedestrian bridge was closed - that would have made it much more convenient). But as we didn't need our car every day, this wasn't a big deal Trogir is full of wonderful places to eat, one of the Top 3 is literally just around the corner - Konoba Fortin We would definitely stay here again
Priska Med Luxury Rooms

We booked this Hotel for 6 nights in total. The room was ok but there were a lot of things that, unfortunatly didn't worked and were not been taken care of, even after we went daily to the reception. When we first came to our room, the main light wasn't working, but the ladies from the reception helped us to get it work (it had to be switched on in the power box). The girls at the reception were very nice and helpful. The only window in the room was open and we could not close it because it was broken. There was no other room free, so we had to sleep with the open window (not that warm in october and my husband already had caught a cold). The day after, the handyman came because of the window. In the evening the window was closed but the handle was gone too. For the next 5 days, we weren't able to open the only window in the room and to get fresh air. The girls at the reception told us they would speak to the manager but nothing changed and we didnt't get anything in compensation. The sink in the bathroom also didn't worked, and the water did not drain. This problem was fortunatly solved after one day. Beside that, the room was not beeing cleaned at all, even if daily cleaning is mentionned in the description of the hotel. We got towels and toilet paper but there was no cleaning at all! So the room gets dirty after a few nights an the fact that we stayed 6 nights ... So now, that there was no compensation at all, i would nit recommand this hotel.
