The hotel position is good.It just took me few minutes walking to the beach & port.of course theSanbaba Castle is very near.it's very very close to train station.there's roof top sunshine chairs.u can go to the top to enjoy sunshine. but the room is a little old.the towels are too old too dark.I suggest to change the towels.or I have to bring towels by myself.

Hmmm such a strange hotel because on one side you have lovely big rooms, nice big open reception, the hotel is in great location But on the other hand Most (not all) of The reception staff do not seem happy so when you ask them for something you feel like a burden. We couldnt check in until 4pm so at 4pm the reception is full of people queuing, I emailed ahead to ask for early check in - there was no way that not one room was available. I didnt even get a reply. I then left some clothes in the spa changing rooms by accident & the next day realised & the reception staff had 0 interest in helping me find them. ‘We dont have them’ is all I got. We booked the hotel because it had a rooftop pool but then there was a roof over the top ‘because they were expecting rain’ when it was a gloriously sunny day. Fortunately someone else complained & they took the roof off. The rooftop bar wasnt open either. Room service isnt 24 hours (not the end of the world)

We arrived late at around midnight and luckily that we have did a self check in , otherwise the reception guy barely spoke english and explained nothing. The room is very basic, no tea and coffee facilities, no bottle of water at least for one time. Swimming pool available almost never , as there are always ppl training and no access to the pool like we were told just 45 min available like on Fridays which is ridiculous, no available info about the tour offers nor suggestions but of course we did online ourselves yet still would be nice if there is any suggestions from locals 😟We got the feeling that hotel definitely could use more knowledge and to show more interest to the guests and better communication between the spa reception and main reception and definitely not worth of 4 ⭐️

We have stayed in Montanejos at least once each year since 2007, using two other hotels. This time, we were attracted by a better price at Xauen and were pleased we tried it: it will be our first choice in future. The rooms, which I guess are recently refurbished, are rather small although well equipped. Standard size double bed. Bathroom also compact but with a great shower. Spacious terrace with great views of the river valley and hills beyond. A very positive feature is the bar with full length windows overlooking the river: friendly service and good drinks prices. We didn't eat in the restaurant, as the menu did not look very exciting, but there are plenty of alternatives within 5 min. walk. We easily found free street parking within less than 100m each time it was needed (it would be more difficult in the summer season or at weekends).

The hotel environment and location are great! It is close to the seaside and has beautiful scenery; the hotel is first-rate in hygiene and has rich breakfast and dinner; the hotel staff are friendly and provide enthusiastic service. I chose a sea view room. The room is spacious and bright, elegantly decorated and fully equipped. It is the best choice for watching the sunrise over the sea.

The hotel has a very good location and is very comfortable and very comfortable. The event we attend ( the great Alberto Contador fund ) was super well organized in the hotel and having it all next to it was very easy to access all the events. The hotel is ideally located in the heart of the city centre and is very comfortable and comfortable. The truth is that everything was very good. Very happy with everything. Thank you very much.
