Travel with a group of friends to Beppu but only 4 of us decided to stay at Amanek for 2 nights. This was the best decision ever as we were closed to the JR station, eateries, Tokiwa shopping mall, Donki and the beach were within walking distance. Only few staff could speak English. Those who speak Japanese only also try their best to serve the guest. I am impressed by how clean and new the whole hotel is. Best of all, I love the free flow of juices & beverages. You could also do take away in the UCC coffee disposible cup. Love the choice of either western or local breakfast with free flow of side dishes. I am surprised by how big the bedroom is and spacious bathroom. The gym equipment tho basic, are new & in good condition. The onsen is clean & modern & I love the warm rooftop pool with an awesome view! Amanek is thoughtful to provide guest with a basket to hold all your onsen needs. Upon check out, I was overcharged for my 2 days of breakfast. The staff was quick to rectify the problem & refunded me on the spot. Yes, would definitely stay in Amanek again in my next visit to Beppu! Thank you for the awesome stay!

We drove our car so not sure about location but it is close to mall and eateries. The hotel is business-like with some tour group and fitted with onsen but very crowded. Parking is free. Hotel breakfast is amazing and very worth it!! Rooms are big in size and spacious!

The large open-air bath overlooking Mt. Yufu has the best atmosphere. It's warm, so you can soak in it leisurely. For men, there is already a １ or a small open-air bath that is hot and can be used by the bridge. I stayed in the main building. It is a building with a considerable age, and although it is undeniably old, the toilet has been renovated and cleaned well. The dishes were basic plans, so there were no high-class ingredients, but I was satisfied with the contents that I could feel politeness. Finally, the response of the employees was very good and made the impression of this inn very good.

I used it in mid-December. Since it is adjacent to JR Oita Station, you can go from the station in 2 ～ 3 minutes without getting wet in the rain. The front desk is 8F in the building where the hotel is located. This time, I used the non-smoking double bed room of 17F. The face towel in the bathroom of the room was made in Imabari. Check-in is possible from 14:00, and guests can also use the 19F ”Tenku no Yu” from 14:00. Go to 19F in your room clothes, receive a towel set at the reception, and go to the men's bath changing place. 19F has an indoor bath and two types of saunas (Finland sauna and mist sauna), and there were more than 10 washrooms. 19F Indoor bath is a natural hot spring that is pumped from 700m underground. After soaking in the inner bath of 19F, go up the stairs to 20F (rooftop). There are two types of bathtubs here. It is a little hot water and a little lukewarm carbonated spring. Also, the view of soaking in the bathtub is the best! It's nice in the daytime, but the view illuminated by neon at night is also nice. Guests can use it from 6am the next morning. This morning bath was the most comfortable. Breakfast was served at the 8F restaurant from 7 am. I arrived around 6:55 with a breakfast ticket, but 7 ～ 8 people were already lined up. Instead of choosing your favorite seat, the person in charge will guide you. At that seat, the person in charge asks whether the main dish is Japanese or Western. On this day (12/16), Japanese food was grilled ＋ small bowl, Western food was hamburger ＋ small bowl. Except for the main dish, it is a buffet style, and it is a style that you take this and that yourself. It was a pity that I couldn't have breakfast slowly because the bus to the airport was early. Next time, I would like to take the time to have breakfast. Thank you very much, everyone at the hotel staff.

There are cleaning, but for the price of the room, including other amenities, it was .... 【Bath】 Small towels are prepared in the public bath, so you don't need to use wet things. There are few amenities in the dressing room. [Meal] Private room in the dining hall with evening breakfast. Dinner and Bungo beef steak were soft and delicious. When I entered the private room, I was already prepared for sashimi and baked fish on the table. There may be corona measures, but the baked fish was cold, so it was a little disappointing. There was breakfast, hot tofu and specialty ryukyu. There was a matcha and sweet service at check-in. It is good to spend a leisurely time walking to Lake Jinxi. I just felt that it was not as expensive.

Last time I booked a Western-style room this time I booked a Japanese-style room. Also, the glass used is cloudy due to aging deterioration, so it's time to replace it with a stone! ?? I booked Chinese food this time and I was expecting it because the Japanese food was delicious last time, but unfortunately Chinese food was not so good. There was no. If the interval is too wide, you will feel full and your food will not progress. I will never use Chinese food ２ from the next time. Breakfast is rich and delicious. Bath The open-air bath is comfortable, but I want you to put a good shampoo in the men's bath! The correspondence of the hotel staff was very good as last time.

Overall experience of staying at Seikaiso was very good. The location is close enough to the Beppu station(walking distance 10mins) and bus terminal is 2mins away. The best experience of this Ryokan is the hot springs and private bath on the rooftop. Breakfast is served per room on booking time with Japanese style breakfast. It was various dishes and delicious! The front staff/restaurant staff/general staff are all friendly and helpful. Especially at the front desk staff Urabe was amazing. He also speak good English so it was very helpful. He helped us everything what we need. 🙏🏼 We will definitely go back to Seikaiso again.

Very helpful and friendly front desk staffs will smiling face all the time. The onsen on the roof top is excellent particularly the outdoor pool. I love their ramen serving after 9:30 pm, good timing after enjoing onsen. The room size is reasonable if you been to enough hotels in Japan. Cleanliness and tidynesss is impressive. Breakfast is good but love to see more western selections. Overall I love this hotel and will prefer to stay there again.

I was stunned because he left without speaking to me. ◎There was a lot of hair on the sink in the changing room of the large public bath (women's bath), making it look filthy. ◎The tank and chairs in the large public bath (women's bath) are moldy and slimy, and it feels like they are missing something. It is a 5-story inn. To commemorate the anniversary of its founding １１１, there was a free beer drink service in the lounge. It is a long-established inn in Yufuin Onsen. The customer service of the front desk staff was polite • and kind. I was able to answer the difference between Yufuin and Yufuin properly. I stayed in a large Japanese-style room on the ５ floor. When I opened the curtain, Mt. Yufu was approaching in front of me. The bathrooms are not unit-type, and the bath • Toilet • wash basins are independent. Supper is a summer Oitagawa kaiseki course. All the dishes were delicious. In particular, the dishes that left an impression on me were grilled on a Japanese black beef hoba miso ceramic plate. The warmed miso has a hoba scent, and the slightly sweet taste goes well with the beef. The more you want to refill it with an exquisite taste. Breakfast is buffet style. I was satisfied with the local menu of Oita Prefecture, including dango soup. There are two indoor baths in the large hot spring bath with a spacious space. There is also a whirlpool bath and a Louis Bosti hot water of the incense hot water. The open-air bath has natural rocks on the side facing the garden. The hot water temperature is a little hot and has a feeling of slimy. What is it in the indoor bath! Yunohana. Yunohana, which crystallized the hot spring ingredients, was in bloom in the bathtub. The hot spring is a good proof. I was able to stay at this hot spring inn and became a good memory of my husband and wife trip.

It was the best! If you take a taxi from Yufuin Station, it will cost about 750-800 yen. The owner was really friendly and booked a taxi in advance so we could go out after check-out. The hot spring water was so good that I wanted to stay longer. Next time I come to Yuhyukin, I plan to stay here again!

The food and the correspondence of the inn were really nice. The room was clean enough, but the only thing I was interested in was the basic cosmetics such as the lotion in the room. The ones on the wall were covered with dust, probably because they hadn't been replaced all the time, and even though I wanted to use them, they were fixed and couldn't be used. I'm paying a lot of money, so I wanted you to pay attention to even the smallest details. But it was an inn that I wanted to go to again! All the employees were kind. thank you for helping me.

Stayed in a suite with two single beds which have our own open air bath and an indoor bath as well. The open air bath was just great, very large and beautiful. So relaxing to enjoy after almost three years not being able to visit the country and use onsen. Suite itself is very spacious and the amenities are new. There were however two small windows, one at the living area and the other near the suite's entrance which did not have curtains or blinds, and could be seen from the outside. Otherwise everything was perfect. The ryokan's public bath has an excellent view of Mt. Yufu. Food quality of the Kaiseki dinner was high. There were ample parking spaces for guests' use. I would like to thank Mr. Pralhad Pathak at the front desk who helped me make calls and spoke on my behalf to the staff of the hotel where I stayed the night before to help me look for my watch which somehow got lost. He was very caring and assisted me to follow up even upon my check-out. Very nice of him. Really appreciate it. My stay at Baien was a wonderful experience. I stayed at three different ryokans and some other hotels during my 8-day trip to Kyushu this time, and I ranked Baien no.1. I would definitely stay there again next time when I visit Yufuin.

This is a warm and comfortable hotel. I stayed with my family in the two guest rooms of Anzu and Ajisai at Yufuin Bettei ITSUKI. We chose the package with dinner and breakfast. You can park your car at the hotel first and then go out to play. It takes only 7 minutes to walk to Kinrin Lake. There is also a MaxValue supermarket near the hotel, which is super convenient. After half a day of sightseeing in cold weather, the hotel lobby welcomes their guests with the warmth of firewood. This is one of the things I like about this hotel. The staff are very polite and the service is superb. They call before dinner reservation time to let you know dinner is ready. Dinner is arranged in a private room in the restaurant which allows sufficient privacy. Local seasonal ingredients are used in every dish, tasted fresh and delicious and served on fine pottery. Such an absolute feast for the tongue and eyes! I would like to appreciate the mindfulness of the hotel. When making hotel reservation, I told the hotel that we have a member who does not eat raw food. At that time, the hotel replied that the sashimi in the meal could be served cooked. When we check-in, hotel staff took special attention with that. The room is spacious and tidy with air purifiers and humidifiers. One of the rooms we stayed in had an indoor and an outdoor onsen and the other had a semi-outdoor hot spring. Flowers and plants are planted in the garden of the room and around the outdoor hot spring. You can feel the natural a**osphere of Yufuin when you look out from indoors or in onsen. There is another point worthy of praise. When I was seated for dinner, I asked the staff at the front desk if I could buy stamps for sending postcard. They did not have stamps for sale. To my surprise, as soon as the first course of dinner was served, hotel staff handed me a beautiful envelope with a stamp inside. They even checked the postage fee to make sure the stamp fee is enough. How efficient and thoughtful they are. This is the best onsen hotel and I would recommend it to everyone. Family raves about the stay. Overall it's impeccable. If I have the opportunity to come to Yufuin again in the future, I will definitely choose this hotel again.

As soon as we got off the bus, we saw the hotel staff waiting for us. This was really good because it was already dark when we arrived! Don't let us find our way to the hotel again! Yufuyuan Dayの Spring Hotel came to the famous hot spring hotel under zero temperature. The whole family stayed at the Japanese-style tatami hotel about 20 pings. The location was about 10 minutes walk from the station. It just snowed in the whole area two days ago. There was still snow on the ground. Walking along the way on Yubu Street, there are all kinds of small shops, eating and drinking will not feel too far! One berth and two foods, the price is very affordable, it is recommended! Open-air hot springs, family hot spring houses, personal hot spring houses are available, suitable for everyone to experience.

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Service was very good. Parking was an extra 550 yen per day. Breakfast was Japanese style but did include a bacon and egg cooked in front of each guest with the small Japanese hotpot. Our room fit 3 adults was very nice with clean modern amenities consisting of one room with two single beds, and a sizable living room with futon in the evening for the third bed. Nice view of Beppu tower in our room. Hotspring outdoor was totally enjoyable with a view of the sunrise and the Beppu Bay. Gotta be careful though because for ladies, someone in a boat at the bay might be able to see our naked upper bodies with telescope if we stand up.😅

The room was clean and comfortable with many storage areas, but for an elderly mother with poor knees, the following points were few 々 problems. The threshold of the toilet door is too high, and it is difficult to cross the threshold. I was wondering if I could catch my leg. I have a hand indoors in the large communal bath, but I gave up using it because there was no handrail in the open-air bath. There are two types of bath chairs with different heights in the cherry blossom bath, but for my mother who has difficulty bent her knees deeply, all of them are low, and I finally sat down and washed my body while feeling pain in my knees. In the hotel I used in the past, there were many places where the bus chair with high seats was installed. I will also use those who have problems with their legs and waist, so I would be happy if you could improve this point.

Excellent service, food, view, room - oh, what could I complain about? Everything felt amazing from the moment I entered the hotel. The hotel had a no-shoe policy, and they maintained it sparkly clean. The outdoor onsen was an infinite-pool onsen that was facing the ocean, which was mesmerizing. The breakfast buffet spread catered to my every-so-picky taste buds, and the restaurant was overlooking the sunrise. Other aspects of my stay that I greatly valued was the good quality of skincare products given and the incredible service. If I had to make one complaint, that would be the slight inconvenience of getting to-and-fro the hotel by bus on public holiday (taxi to the JR station is still affordable - about 850¥). If you drive, it would be amazing.

Hotel is centrally placed in front of the station, I had a comfortable room on 11th floor, average size for Japan, very comfortable bed. The buffet BFast was ok, choice of Japanese and western food... A good surprise was the onsen, that I particularly appreciated after a day spent walking, exploring Beppu' s Hells .. The hotel is very clean and tidy and all the staff were kind and helpful, I could leave my luggage at the reception on the leaving day while I was exploring Beppu on my own... Good rate quality/ price, I would go there again, if I were in Beppu again.

This hotel is about 10-15 mins walking from the JR Beppu station. It is easy to find as you just walk towards the seaside until you see the Beppu Tower beside a main road, the hotel is behind it. There is a 7-11 beside the tower, and a bus stop in front of the tower, so is quite convenient. If you take the bus to visit the 7 Beppu Hells starting from the JR station and follow the sequence, i.e. Chinoike and Tatsumaki Jigokus as the last two hells, and you take the bus towards the Beppu station, you can stop directly in front of the tower, this complete a full circle of your Beppu Hell tour. I booked a seaview Japanese room and the view is great. The room is also spacious for Japanese ryokan standard. There is some minor renovation and furniture replacement done, so the room is a mixture of new and worn. There are two onsen baths in this hotel: one at the top floor, an open air onsen bath and one at third floor, which is an indoor onsen bath. The dinner and breakfast are both average though. Overall, I am quite happy with my stay here.

Overall, I felt the hotel was very nicely done with great local touches while still keeping an international atmosphere. I also wanted to point out the great flexibility of the hotel, allowing me to change my meal reservations from 3 dinners at Elements (I was on a package deal) to one at Elements and combining the remaining two meals at Elements to a dinner at Atelier. This allowed me to not have to dine at the same restaurant as well as opening up a slot for me to explore a local restaurant. However, there were two things that I'd like to point out that the hotel can improve upon. The first is the staffing at the club lounge (and in general) is not enough. There were many moments where I was left to wait, to the point where using standard facilities (like the check-in counter, or breakfast at Elements) would have been a more positive experience. Breakfast on 12/21 was where the understaffing really showed, where it took over an hour to complete breakfast; many guests left in the middle of their meal since service was horribly slow. However, the second point us what I would really want the hotel to work on - CoVID countermeasures. Largely, two things I'd like to point out. (1) Temperature screening us inconsistent. I was checked when I first arrived, but never anytime afterwards (or should I say, the thermometer station was unmanned). (2) During my meal at Atelier, my wife and I noticed that the staff (He was Italian, I think his name is Marco?) preparing the dishes (in the open kitchen) prepping a sauce, tasting it with the same spoon which was quickly rinsed it under the faucet and returned into the mixing bowl. I pointed this out to one of the servers (Japanese male, responsible for serving and explaining the dishes). This is where I felt the hotel can improve on - in detail, three things. (i) The Japanese server proceeded to quietly scold the staff in front of me, I felt that was not a great experience both for myself and the staff. (ii) Nothing was cleared. After the scolding (and then the staff responding back that he did not put the spoon back in) none of the utensils were changed and no follow up. I guess there is no trust in what a customer points out. And finally (iii) I felt that this is at the fault of the hotel for not putting in proper operation guidelines.A person putting together a meal will need to taste it, to make sure it's good. If the hotel were to put in operational guidelines to ensure tasting can be done while still making it very obvious that it is hygienic, I would not have to be writing this email. Needless to say, our dinner experience was ruined that night. I actually shared the above comment with IHG Guest Relations (on 25 Dec), which the agent was extremely prompt on getting back to me and assured that I would get a response back from the hotel about it within 48 hours. Love the onsen, part of the perks staying with them. All good except the soundproofing really bad, can hear next door snoring very clearly!!!

The environment is very good, the front desk lady is very friendly, the hot spring hotel CP value is very high, if I go again, I will stay again. Although old, it is well maintained

It is a hotel with a fairly old age than you can see in the photo. It is a plus element that there is a hot spring on the １ floor. It was simple for breakfast. The distance from the station is not far, but convenience stores and shopping are better to come in front of the station.

Location is suburbs. I feel the oldness of the facilities. ８ floor, but the elevator was １ and it was inconvenient.
