Started here several times over the years, but 30 mins to check in and frr de t keys working. Not impressed, room located close to vent  system and very noisy, no fridge in order. So  not so impressed this time.

We had the most wonderful holistic facial treatment and bank massage. Nikki and Leanne are just lovely and very very good at what they do. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome, relaxed and in safe hands! One of the best Spa Treatments we have ever had. Thank you Nikki and Leanne!   Note: It is a small spa with treatment rooms and relaxation rooms however there isn’t a pool,sauna,hot tub etc. We were aware of this before we got there so not a problem for us but just putting this here for info for others because we found it hard to find this information on the website.

Staying at Malmaison you have no issues with expectations being met, if you've stayed in any Malmaison you'll know the standard to expect.  Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and decorated in a refined manner. The bed was large and comfortable with sort bedding.  We had a bath and separate walk-in shower with a rainfall shower head, which was pleasant. Only issue with the whole stay was the white sealant around the shower blackened and discoloured. That's a very easy, and quick fix to replace.  The bar and restaurant areas were relaxed and subtle. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide offering from cooked breakfast to cereals, fruits or pastries.  Check in and check out were very efficient, as you'd expect.  I'd happily stay here again when I'm back in the area. 

So we stayed at Malmaison Aberdeen last weekend and paid for a Club room.  One curtain was hanging off 3 ring loops, the shower was tiny, with a rainforest shower head that meant there was no where to stand if you didn’t want to get your hair wet, the handle on the shower tap kept falling off - evidenced by the chips in the base of the shower tray, (so not a new issue) and the shower door wouldn’t close properly so we flooded the floor every time we went for a shower. We went for dinner and I had scallops with black pudding - the black pudding was so overdone I couldn’t get my fork into it. I raised it with the waitress and asked her to tell the kitchen, but no apology and no discount on the menu. Pretty poor.  And as for the waiters in the bar - to say they have a superior/condescending attitude is an understatement.  The hotel looks beautiful, it’s decor is excellent but sadly what lies beneath is not so impressive.
