Sayacmarca Classic Inn

Stayed for 1 night at this hotel; centrally located just off the bridge from the train station. The sign is on the main road but the entrance is on the side. Basic clean room with towels and soap. I did not check out breakfast as it opens at 0600am and wanted to get the first bus up to Macchu Pichu. The bus queue to Macchu Pichu starts from in front of hotel. Basic hotel.

Sayacmarca Inn was an absolute Gem for its price-point. I stayed here for two nights on a trip to visit Machu Pichu. One of the best parts of this place is its location. It is pretty centrally located in Aguas Calientes; only a short 100 m walk to the city plaza. As well as directly next to the bus station to Machu Pichu (the que for the bus is literally right outside). Close by is the Artesenal Market and Train station as well. Good for shopping for souvenirs and artesenal goods (alpaca scarves/sweaters, jewelry, stones, etc). All around this location are plenty of good restaurants and shops to eat/dine at. If you want a relaxing evening after a long day of travel or coming down from Machu Pichu I highly recommend a walk up to the hot springs (Aguas Calientes). The walk is only about 400 m away and worth it! Hotel room was very comfortable and homey with views of the river. Also very relaxing/soothing to sleep with the sounds of the river! Noted only downside is there wasnt a turn down service for fresh sheets or towells after each night. But if you ask for them they will get you some. This place comes with a complimentary breakfast with a pretty good spread from fresh tropical fruit, baked bread , yogurt, fresh squeezed juice, and some delicious scrambled eggs! Last the staff were very helpful and kind; even with the language barrier they were able to answer my questions and point me in the right direction for good shopping and places to eat (the locals inside view). Overall I would stay here again. Exceptional place for this pricepoint!!

Just steps away from the train station, the buses to Machu Picchu, shops and restaurants. Staff was helpful and the place was clean and perfect for our night in between visits to MP.

My new favorite place in Aguas Calientes (also known as Pueblo de MachuPicchu). Perfectly located, just across the train station, the bus stop to the MPicchu park and the artesanías market!, sooo convenient. In the middle of the town. Staff really friendly and corteous, ready to help you. Clean rooms and bathrooms with plenty of hot water to shower. I’m coming next summer (June) and I’m going to request a room with a balcony to enjoy a view at night of the whole town and the soothing sound of the river to sleep.
