The staff were very helpful and polite and kind, the apartment was very clean and very spacious. The facilities in the apartment were great, everything working perfectly. The terrace was great and very clean, highly recommend this place. I don't normally bother to write reviews normally but had to for this, was very impressed for the price.

The problem with this hotel is the management. The hotel is very big and the route sign is not clear. I was lucky to find the room after walking for 30 minutes. And the breakfast information is wrong, the parking information is wrong. These problems should be improved through management, and good results should be obtained.

I booked this hotel for friends for a 70th and a 60th - disappointment was an understatement! I used this hotel many times before on friends holidays, large groups or just a couple of us. It’s been maybe 5 years since going - well I was totally disgusted when we got there after recommending to my friends we go there. 4 of us went and when we got our first room it was disgusting! There was paint bubbled and peeling off the dresser, the sink was cracked in many places (not just crazed) bacteria city! We couldn’t close the balcony door or bathroom door, it was truly very grim and soooo old looking. We got them to change our room and said they’d move us but not our friends and they hadn’t even got their room yet! (They obviously knew it wasn’t going to be good) They were given the room next to our first one, there was blood smothering the lamp shade which they just ‘cleaned to the best they could’ but wouldn’t move them. The sunbeds were ALL decrepit, material was all broken, there was not one sunbed in any sort of good condition. We were therefore forced to go to the beach where it was €19 for 2 beds. The music played round the pool was so loud we couldn’t even hear ourselves talk to each other as the speaker was sat by the bar/eating area so we couldn’t stay for lunch during the day and had to leave to go elsewhere. Apparently they are doing up the hotel - very slowly and have done the top floor! That’s no good to anyone being put on the lower floors. They aren’t doing up the urgent things that need attention which is such a shame. We asked for a hairdryer as none in either room and were told to come back tomorrow….we went and bought one but our friends went back the next day and there were none to give out. The last day we asked they opened the cupboard were meant to be kept and the cupboard door fell off!!! Place was falling apart The older lady on reception had the absolute hump with us going back and forth with complaints and asking for help which should be an apology and do all you can to help guests….customer service was totally out the window! She acted like we were just being nuisances….

Me and my partner went for 5 nights all inclusive and wasn’t sure if we made the right decision after reading the reviews… But we were pleasantly surprised! We had a very spacious room in the main building with a huge balcony, which was always kept very clean. Yes the rooms need a bit of an update, but this didn’t dampen our stay, we had amazing sea views! The food was really good and always had quite a good selection as were the drinks. The hotel staff and entertainment team were always so friendly and made us feel welcome. The only thing I would say is that they need more toilet facilities throughout the hotel and we felt like we were always waiting for a lift… There’s lots of stairs to get to various different levels for the restaurant/ reception etc! The hotel is situated right on the sea front which we loved and easy 5 minute drive to both the new and old town! All in all a brilliant stay and we would love to return!

Excellent location for access to the sea (Albufeira beach) and the cliffs. Center reachable in 15m via the beach but also with a free shuttle bus provided by the hotel. Nice swimming pool (chilly for the season). Excellent breakfast and quite variable buffet with extended hours. Structure a little dated, in particular the room (the neighbors' air conditioning is a little noisy and needs some revision)

We are coming to the end of our 10 night trip at this hotel. We are staying in a standard double room and this has been very comfortable. Inside the hotel is beautiful! Beds in rooms are spacious and bed linen changed every day alongside new towels. Although we were staying on street view rooms there was only one night I was disturbed of sleep and this was very brief as people made their way back to their apartment building. There was always plenty options at breakfast and food was really lovely. I cannot comment on dinner as we did not have this included. Pool area is very relaxing and lots of loungers - although the music by the pool was really repetitive and by personal preference, we would have liked more variety as it became boring. Also, for a four star hotel a plug next to the mirror would have been expected? We had a really relaxing massage in the spa here too with a lovely view! The beach is close, lots of bars and restaurants around a 5-10 minute walk away. Old town is not far in a taxi. In our experience the staff were very helpful and if we were to return to this part of Portugal we would definitely consider here again!

The balcony can see a beautiful beach, not many tourists in the off-season. The rooms are slightly older and overall a good holiday choice.

Be aware before you travel that this hotel has five stars on the basis of its leisure facilities. It is not a five star, but a good three star at best. The hotel is spotlessly clean though, and both the rooms and the apar**ents are of a good size. Be aware that you will be presented with a set of rules suitable not for adults paying for an all inclusive holiday in a five star hotel, but for recalcitrant twenty somethings - no drinks in the lobby, no food or drinks may be taken from the restaurant, and best of all, no drinks may be brought to your room and no room service is available. The vaunted selection of restaurants available is in fact, the restaurant of each of the sister hotels with different themes on different nights, including several which are actually benches underneath awnings in a green space although they are styled as separate restaurants. All of the restaurants are not open all of the nights. You will have to pre book to get a table or otherwise will have no choice but to eat in the underwhelming and understaffed in-house restaurant. In counterpoint to this the staff are without exception - hard working, helpful and pleasant.

Had a stay in the Muthu Oura Praia Hotel with an all inclusive package Absolutely great place to stay. Centre to everything. Rooms were spotlessly clean with comfy beds & great amenities - everything you would need for your stay. Gluten free diet was catered for at all meals with the chefs going above & beyond to ensure I had tasty meals. Every staff member that we met was friendly & helpful.

The hotel itself it clean enough, nothing I can say about the cleanliness of the place, but unfortunately it goes downhill from there after that, It’s advertised as 4/5 star, no where near it, a basic 3 star is more like it, Do not book all inclusive here the restaurant is poor, very small ( probably 50 seats and the hotel has over 100 rooms so you do the maths here. The food is average nothing more ,sometimes hot or cold , The pool bar opens at 11am and has limited stuff here too, and the main bar ( The Piccadilly) is horrendous. The entertainment team try hard to get you in the mood but the management need to take some responsibility for how bad this place is, Edgar and staff on the entertainment team work hard, but it’s bad , hard to watch sometimes, again I blame management for not bringing in decent entertainment . The pool area is good but it doesn’t open up till 9am, along with the gym and indoor pool , and again there is only around 40 sunbeds , so if your not out there before 0905am you will not get a bed . The pool is freezing so no one really used it, the hotel take 100 euro deposit of you when you arrive for damages, and is returned once there satisfied you haven’t broke anything. And you have to pay for towels to use at the pool which for a supposedly 5star hotel is unheard of in my experience. There is a small area for kids games to keep them amused but honestly nothing for them in the restaurant , we arrived at 2300 hours and had booked a B+B in a deluxe suite , we were quite thirsty and hungry and ask if there was any water or something to eat, the receptionist told us to walk to the town as nothing was available, again 5 star not, All in all not as good as they think they are 3 star basic hotel, book B+B there is plenty places round about to eat and drink and at least that way you will something decent and what you want
