Hotel Algorfa

Went to Queen event on Sunday evening they were terrific. What a disappointment with the food. Left over Sunday lunch was served to 6 of us. It was dry and cold. They offered to replace but when it came back it had been zapped by a microwave and we actually had other people’s dinner served to us. We know this as on several of the dinners gravy had been put on the vegetables. We complained asked to see the shift manager who was rude and accused us of upsetting the staff because we had complained about the food. We were left and ignored. We had in the past good service but would not use it again. We had tried to contact owner manage to resolve the situation but we are still waiting for them to contact us. We will not use or recommend this Hotel

My first time at the Algorfa Hotel, we had booked the Jersey Boys event, they were absolutely amazing, so engaging with the audience, you couldn't help but get up and dance. Considering how many people were there I was impressed with the food and service, great value, would highly recommend, we'll definitely be back.

The breakfast here is the worst you can find in Spain, cold inedible food that you should not serve to animals let alone people . Get a chef that knows how to cook and get rid of whoever is sending out food that’s not fit for human consumption. If you’re thinking of coming here I’d move on to the next place.

We arrived@ 11 , 4 adults and 10 year old , waited 30 minutes to get an order placed for breakfast, when the food arrived it was all stone cold , the hash browns were black and cold, we started eating it . And then all quickly got put off. We planned a day out and this wasn’t a great start , it’s now evening and the 10 year old has been sick constantly through the day. You cannot serve cold food that’s been sat around for hours to your customers otherwise you could make them very sick. You need to get a chef that knows what they are doing and making sure the food is safe to eat. We did complain, were told they would take something off the bill , but never did .

Ate here today. My wife's pastry was warm on the outside, but cold on the inside. She returned it, only to have the same pastry served back up after a spell in the microwave. Not a new fresh pastry, but the same briefly-eaten pastry. An extraordinary act for a business which relies on customer recommendation. As for the sweet she ordered, it didn't arrive. A one and half hour experience we both want to forget. Plates not cleared from table either, despite the restaurant being mostly empty. Dreadful service. We're British, but will never stray from Spanish expertise again. Avoid these clowns like the plague.

7 of us went for breakfast. I personally was happy - sausages in a roll - can’t really mess that up! The rest of it was tepid at best. The hash browns were really greasy, the bacon like boot leather, eggs cold and hard, the bubble was cold greasy and not proper bubble and the toast was so hard I couldn’t cut it. I had to ask for my breakfast and then ask for the mushrooms - an extra I’d asked for - then I had to get tomatoes as they gave me beans which they should’ve given to my friend - it worked out but it was awful. We also had to wait over half an hour for this rubbish. We’d heard the food had gone downhill and that sadly wasn’t a lie. Never again.

My friend and l stayed at at this hotel for a week. The staff where fantastic. All rooms opened on to the newly decorated pool area. The room I had was comfortable,clean, plenty of hot water. Towels change regularly. The only mirror was in the bathroom, could have done with a long mirror in the bedroom. Bottled water, Tea, coffee supplied. Unfortunately the food was a hit and miss. Had breakfast each morning. Started with cooked breakfast never looked the same. The fresh fruit yoghurt was lovely as was the home made croissants. Sadly lunch and evenings meal did not live upto the description . Needs improving, The hotel also provides entertainment which is open to the local residents. Monday night games is a hoot. You will laugh from beginning to end. The gripe l have is the smoking area. For me this needs moving away from the inside dining area. Trying to eat a meal with the windows open and people smoking for me do not mix. The smoking area could be towards the garge. The reception area need attention. I am sure this will be apart of the refurbish plan. I truly had a lovely stay. Ps the parrots are great.
