Very friendly staff. Hostel is nice and clean and cleaned daily. Close to shops bars and attractions. Nice view of the Acropolis from the rooftop lounge.

It is located in the Psiri district, which is full of bars and cafes. However, since it's on the outskirts of the area, it's not that noisy at night. There was a last-minute change, but they were very kind and accommodating over the phone.

The USB interface and lighting on the second-story bed were broken. I changed the connection cable, but the phone could not be charged, which greatly affected the next day's travel itinerary.

The location is a bit odd... but once you get used to it, I don't think it's a bad location... I liked that the staff were friendly~~

If I come to Greece again, this accommodation will still be my favorite choice. A clean public space where you can relax your mind and chat with other travelers. Close to the subway station, good location! You can see the quiet Greek Acropolis from the top floor!

There is no curtain between the beds in the mixed room and no privacy protection.

You need to prepare a locker lock separately, and if you do not have one, we sell it for 2 euros. You need to prepare shampoo, etc. separately, and if you do not have one, they are sold at 1 euro each.

Staffs are wonderful especially Chryss, she was helpful and accommodating. The beds are comfortable. Clean and I met wonderful people here, which I won't be able to had I stayed in a private hotel room. Thanks for a pleasant experience. Will return if I am ever in Athens again. Highly recommended

A friend and I stayed at the City Circus for four nights in late May 2023 and it was probably one of the BEST hostels I’ve ever stayed in! The rooms were spacious, the showers were powerful, hot water was reliable, the air-con worked, there was a lift, it had a roof-top terrace with acropolis view, the common areas were well-designed and immaculate, and the staff friendly. The Hostel even provides free wine and nibbles most nights and free socialising activities for the sociable and/or solo traveller, which I thought was a lovely touch! Room-wise, my friend and I each had our own private room, so cannot comment on the dorms, but my room (Comfort Double, Room 207) was the ‘wedge’ end room and had a fantastic view of the Acropolis, a little Juliette-style balcony, and was massive in size with plants, a variety of furniture and most unexpectedly, a chandelier. My friend’s room (Superior Double, Room 105) had a balcony (complete with table and chairs) and a massive shower. A few very, very minor *******... My room had a tiny shower. This in and of itself is not the fault of the hostel, as the room/building architecture probably didn’t allow for a bigger space, but what was rather baffling was the choice to affix a GIANT metal basket to the wall of said shower at around elbow height. This sadly reduced the movable space a further 20% and made washing hair etc kind of awkward. My friend’s room lacked a safety deposit box, (although we didn’t pursue this, so it is possible that staff would have rectified this), he also didn’t have any clothes drawers. Each room is only supplied with four clothes hangers. Perhaps there hanger drought in Athens? The biggest thing that people might find an issue was the noise at night. This hostel is situated in the best area of Athens in my opinion, but it is a ‘hip’ area and as such, bars and restaurants play music loudly into the night (11:30am - midnight on weekdays) and to about 2am on weekends (incl Sunday night). This didn’t really bother us, you kind of get used to it (and find yourself eating and drinking late like the locals), but light/early sleepers may want to invest in a pair of earplugs. These, incidentally, were also available to purchase at reception! In conclusion, we were both absolutely delighted with our stay, and cannot recommend it enough.

Good Location, The Room is Super Cleat, Cosy Kitchen available for all to use, nice huge open Living/study Room, Nice Open Rooftop for all to spend an evening time there chilling & most importantly,~ Great Staffs ~ every single one. Kind, Friendly, Helpful, Patient with Big Smile to welcome you with Open Arms in in-particular ~ Chryssa:).City Circus Athens will feel Glad to have her and she offers the best & Extra Mile Customer Service during my 4 days stay in the Hotel. Nice place, friendly staff, clean and very good located. Room confortable, shared space interesting. Staff give general city information and organice diferent activities. A convenience store, bakery and restaurant are very closes. All of it makes your travel more pleaseant.

The front desk is eager to help and friendly. They offer a huge variety of tours, day trips and programs (including a bar crawl). The kitchen and shared space is tidy, welcoming, decorated nicely, and very useful - especially the water tap. Our room was tiny, but clean and comfy. The location is amazing, exactly where you want to be walk to everything.

Clean rooms, super nice staff, fun place, but the really amazing thing about City Circus is the location. You are a one minute walk to an enchanting journey through the cobblestone side-streets of Athens. I have stayed at City Circus twice now and continue to appreciate the energy the owner and staff puts into their eclectic gathering point. I now consider CC as a launching place upon arrival to Athens.
