The best experience lies in its refrigerator, which makes them special from any other similar hostels in Athens. Considering the price, everything is theoretically Impeccable, beds are good, bathrooms are good, air-conditioning is good, staff are dood.

Not much to say about this hostel. The location is great but that’s about it.

Quite a good hostel. There are two bunk beds in the room. The door opens from the card (like a hotel). There is a shower and toilet on the floor. There is no kitchen or anything resembling one.

The service at the front desk was ok, but the room allocated was too noisy and the road outside was very noisy. Actually there are quiet rooms facing the inside, just not assigned to me. Always allocate the upper bed

big disappointment. I understand that for 10 euros/night I cannot expect the services of a four-star hotel, but this was a horror. no elevator, so you need good fitness to go up to the fourth floor like me. the stairs are quite steep, so you will sweat even without a suitcase, for example, when you go to the city. the walls are like paper, you can even hear the breath of the neighbor in the next room. the kitchen is terrible, dirty, the floor was sticky. no seating options only hard benches. no windows, so the pigeons calmly flew inside among the people. only a refrigerator, a microwave and a kettle were available. no glasses, plates, cutlery, nothing!!! The bathroom is also a disaster. there was no obstacle between the toilet and the shower, so everything was wet during the shower. the Russian cleaning lady was rude when I wanted a clean towel, she said I only have one towel a day. as if I was questioning her. I understand that my salary is certainly low, but a little willingness and a smile wouldn't hurt anyone. I worked as a cleaner for two years at a hotel in Ibiza, this approach is a disaster. I have been in many hostels, e.g. Japan, Mexico, Germany, Slovakia. satisfaction everywhere! this was terrible. I was also unlucky with my roommate. A woman who acted like she owned the hotel. At night, she turned the air conditioner to 16 C, so I had to sleep in a sweater and long pants. I only had a thin sheet to cover myself. She smoked on the balcony, but she left the door open, so all the smoke went inside. I tried to solve it, but she was aggressive. when I checked in at the reception, the receptionist Alex just talked. He was watching a movie on the computer the whole time and it was obvious that I was bothering him. Finally, I asked for another room where there were two men. I finally had peace! the only positive of this hostel was the proximity to the center and the receptionist Zeid - I don't know if his name is spelled like that, but he was very nice and helpful. He was young and had black hair. I was not the only one who was dissatisfied with the accommodation. I met a young lady from the Czech Republic there, who left after the first night. I recommend finding another accommodation.

Great location, less than 10 min walk from Monastiraki station. The front is open 24/7 and the staff members were nice. When I couldn't sleep because my room mates were talking until 4:30 with the lights on, they changed my room (but unfortunately, I encountered a serious bed bug issue in the new room). Ironically, in the very land that derived Athena Hygieia, there seems to be a lack of hygiene. My bed was infested with a colony of bed bugs. Upon returning from my holiday in Athens, I discovered over 30 bites on my neck, arms, and shoulders. To my knowledge, at least two other dorm mates also experienced the same bed bug issue during my four-day long stay. On my final day in Athens, I was shocked to find a bug crawling out from my underwear and onto my leg. I also spotted another one making its way across my backpack at the airport. After returning home, I have washed all of my belongings and dried them for 2 hours. Hopefully, I haven't brought back any unwanted souvenirs from Greece. However, it might not be too bad, considering these are the same bed bugs that used to trouble ancient Greeks, including Aristotle. A complete ancient Greek experience here!

Decent wifi, the bathrooms are updated and clean. I booked a 4 bed female that has two bunk beds, but only one ladder between the two which was challenging. Every bed has an outlet. A little shelf on each bed would make an incredible difference. There are no lockers or luggage storage in the room. There are pay lockers in the hallway. There is a small kitchen on the rooftop and no other common space. Close to many restaurants and walkable to the acropolis and many other sights. Only provided a sheet, was a bit cold. On the third night they gave us blankets. On my last night two ladies started arguing in the middle of the night. There were a few rounds of this but despite multiple complaints, the staff wouldn’t put one of them in a different room for the night, so she’d come back and it would start again. I got no sleep.

Unfairly, this and every other nearby hotel is regularly (multiple WEEKNIGHTS a week) made unlivable at night because of obnoxiously loud pounding club music with ubiquitous deafening subwoofer from Selina rooftop bar, until 1:30am. Can't believe it's tolerated. Calls to police ignored, guess they've been paid off.
