Typical motel, the car can be parked at the door of the room. You can pick up or send the airport at a time. The hotel has Chinese staff during the day, and communication is more convenient. Hotel location is also better to find.

The location is fantastic and close to shops and eateries. Complimentary coffee was nice & appreciated the microwave, plates and cutlery etc. Staff very friendly. The airport shuttle bus comes to the Ibis for door to door pickups with only NZD 6/pp. I would definitely suggest dining in the fantastic restaurant next door - Szimpla. Always busy, but just relax, the food is worth it.

Totally disappointed in our two night stay here. This premise also goes under the name 'Auckland Airport Kiwi Hotel' and Auckland Airport Kiwi Backpackers', the Backpackers has now been turned into what is called 'Premier studio apartments'.'. When we arrived the lady at reception stated that she had only debited our card for the first night, we were to pay for our second night when checking out. Our 'Premier Studio Apartment' was clearly an ex backpacker room, our lawn view was 2 mtrs of unmown grass which looked straight into the rooms across from us. The room was clean enough but extremely under equipped. We had booked for 3 people, we had 2 towels, 2 facecloths, no hand towel, no tea towel or dish cloth. After the 3rd ask for these items we finally received two extra facecloths to be used as a tea towel and dishcloth, eww! The kitchen had 1 fork, 1 teaspoon, 3 knives and large spoons, 1 glass, no wine glasses. Odd cups and plates of various sizes. There was a microwave and hotplates but no other utensils at all besides the bits and pieces mentioned. No Ice tray. No coathangers. The bathroom light flickered constantly, there was rubbish under the beds, and on further inspection, the fire alarm did not contain a battery. (illegal) On checking out was told that our account had been settled. Inspection of bank account showed that our 2nd night had been deducted two hours after we had checked in and an extra $4.50 had been taken. Asked on their chat window (which is how we booked our stay due to no one answering the phone, ever) and was emailed back, them stating that this extra cost was due to paying by Visa. No mention of this throughout our booking or on their website. Would not stay here again.

Overall, it was pretty good and very cost effective. Helpful staff. • Luggage storage room available. Laundry service avail on site (4 bucks for washing machine, 4 bucks for dryer & 2 bucks for washing powder), Ironing service was free of charge. • Toothbrush & Toothpaste were available upon purchase @ the reception. Hot water, box fan, kettle, small fridge, tea, coffee, sugar, clean towel, soap, shampoo were all avail. The first two nights I stayed, I had to use a shared bathroom, however, it was very clean. After that I extended my stay where I was moved to another room which included a bathroom. Also, perfect location as it is situated on the busiest street in the city centre where you'll find a lot of restaurants & shops nearby even supermarkets. * The down part was that it gets very noisy at night, you could hear the traffic & people on the street screaming. Plus, the mattress wasn't in its best shape.

Stayed at Lylo for 3-4 days and it’s probably the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. You check in on a device however there is a receptionist near in case you need anything. The design is amazing as well as the communal rooms/work spaces, it’s very new and renovated at the moment so it looks really great. There’s free wifi, a communal kitchen and bathrooms on each floor. There’s also a restaurant and bar, you get a card for one free drink too! I stayed in a private room and shared bathroom, the floor was super clean and quiet. The room itself was cute and tidy, we were missing a few things such as a rubbish bin (didn’t know the rooms came with one until we saw someone else on our floor with one). I think it would’ve of been nice if the room came with a television or a safe, however the room was great for the price so can’t complain too much :) location is central and easy access to everything within the city.

The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and clean. The hotel was perfectly allocated for our needs on this visit. With all the construction going on around the hotel, we were a bit overwhelmed but the hotel staff directed us perfectly to the security parking as well as to our destination the next morning. Breakfast was very good and the staff was once again very friendly and helpful.

Holiday Inn Express is one of my favorite hotels during my 2-week stay in New Zealand. It is located in the heart of Auckland’s cbd area and close to everything (shops, restaurants, bars, harbor). It is a 6-minute walk to the Sky Tower where you can pick up the Airport Express bus for $17 nzd. The hotel entrance is on a significant incline. The reception is on the 2nd floor which you can take either an elevator or escalator up. The cafeteria and small lounge are to the right of the reception desk. Breakfast was the usual scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, toast, yogurt, cereal, fruits, muffins, and other pastries. Due to the high volume of clients the 2 coffee machines were usually low on milk to make certain coffee drinks. I love the room set up. The closet is across of the bathroom and had plenty of room for your luggage. The shower is enclosed in a glass cube with wave designs. A nightlight in the bathroom saved on electricity if you need a little light to move around the room. The bed was comfortable and the a/c worked. The reception staff was kind to let me stay an extra hour past the check-out time for the room that I had with my tour. The room that I booked after the tour was ready early and I got to settle in at 11 am before my afternoon tour. Construction is happening around the hotel with the streets being torn up and a new building under construction next to the hotel. The hotel is well insulated that I couldn’t hear any of the construction.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The facilities are new and functional. Senior Concierge Kent was exceptional. He always goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience the moment you walk into the hotel. Every single staff in this hotel is professional, caring and friendly. Breakfast was amazing too! Overall experience 11/10. Best hotel experience I have ever had in NZ.

In the month of January, myself and my friends stayed at the luxurious Sudima Hotel located in Auckland city. We had a warm welcome by the staff at the reception and each and everyone of them were happy to help in anyway possible. We were shown to our room by a kind hearted staff member on the 6th floor and WOW what an amazing view it had of the harbour bridge along with the city buildings. As for the room, it was very modern and well set up. The bathroom was perfect with ammenities provided. The beds were extra comfortable and the tv had a wide range of movies to select from. Whilst we were enjoying the view from the window, we were surprised with a welcome hamper consisting of vegan friendly snacks, refreshing coconut water along with skincare items such as face masks, shower bombs and sleep balms. This was a very thoughtful surprise and indeed we enjoyed it. We had a free breakfast at the East eats restaurant with a range of food to select from and it was amazing. All the food is vegan friendly and very delicious. The lobby has a lot of seating for anyone to enjoy. The beautiful architecture catches ones eye. Very modernised and unique in its own way. Definitely a place to stay! We would like to say a big Thank you to all the staff that helped us have a wonderful stay at the hotel. We definitely will be back. The brand-new hotel is conveniently situated in the central area, making it a fantastic choice for exploring the city by location. We tried the breakfast served daily in the restaurant, and it was fantastic. The lobby is relatively small, and you can see crowds cramped outside the lift at times. The service at the concierge could be slow at times. There was no ambassador status recognition during my stay, which is disappointing. During my stay, there are no gyms inside the hotel, and you will have to walk for quite a while to reach one nearby.
