The hotel is just opposite to fish market. 12 min drive to airport . Very Convenient location. However , we stayed at the top floor , they have a skybar on top of the building . At 11pm++, staff were moving the chair / table , the noise is a bit distracting. Except this , we are quite satisfied with the stay .

Review of Marriott Kota Kinabalu: I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Marriott Kota Kinabalu, and I must say that it was a truly delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by friendly and attentive staff who made me feel welcome and ensured a smooth check-in process. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with modern and elegant décor throughout. My room was spacious, well-appointed, and impeccably clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep during my entire stay. The room also offered stunning sea views of the sunset, which added to the overall charm of the accommodation. One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional service provided by the hotel staff. They were always ready to assist with any request or inquiry, and their attention to detail was commendable. Whether it was arranging transportation, providing recommendations for local attractions, or simply offering a warm smile, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. Overall, my experience at the Marriott Kota Kinabalu was outstanding. The combination of luxurious accommodations, attentive service, and convenient location made it a memorable stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kota Kinabalu and looking for a truly exceptional hospitality experience.

The Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort is an outstanding resort with exceptional service that leaves a lasting impression. Firstly, the service quality at the hotel is very high, with staff being friendly and helpful. Whether it's the reception or room service, they respond quickly to guests' needs and always with a smile. Secondly, the quality of the in-room dining is excellent. Whether it's breakfast or dinner, the food delivered to the room is not only fresh and delicious but also beautifully presented, making you feel genuinely welcome. It's particularly worth mentioning that I once accidentally left some items in the room. The hotel staff promptly contacted me and arranged to return the items quickly, which was very reassuring. However, there are a few areas where the Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort could improve. Firstly, the hotel's location is relatively remote, making it inconvenient to hail a taxi, especially at night or during peak hours, which can be troublesome for guests who need to go out frequently. Additionally, there are some issues with the hotel's pool facilities. The edges of the pool may be rough, and I accidentally got a cut while using the pool. I hope the hotel can address this to enhance the safety and comfort of their guests. Overall, the Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort remains a highly recommended accommodation choice, particularly for travelers seeking excellent service and delicious meals. If they can resolve the transportation and pool facility issues, this would be an ideal place for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Booked this hotel for Marathon event at PADANG BANDARAN DBKK Kota Kinabalu. This hotel only a stone throw away from the event that I enrolled. Oposite is famous and popular ***A STREET. Hotel are clean and I love the Reception and Restaurant staffs. Friendly and are excellent. They have breakfast which is adequate to fill your hungry stomach. The BREAKFAST NEED IMPROVEMENT. Lacking the choices of FRUITS and Bread Rolls. They do have cakes but providing a few extra bread rolls and fruits won't harm the restaurant budget. HOWEVER THIS HOTEL I FULLY RECOMMENDED to everyone or and travellers. This hotel toilet is also MUSLIM FRIENDLY. THE WATER SPRAY Pressure ARE STRONG. NICE. ****FRIENDLY REMINDER, this hotel charge for Parking Fees which is RM5 only during my one night stay with family.

We spent 3 nights at Gaya Island Resort and had a great time, I thought I would write a review because there are a few things worth considering before you go. Firstly, the place itself is amazing, the staff are super friendly and caring - probably the most professional I have ever experienced in my many years of travelling. So all in all it was a wonderful stay. The things worth noting are as follows: 1. The sunbeds, I think may have mentioned it and it's worth mentioning again - there are nowhere near enough. When you pay and arm and a leg to stay at a beautiful resort it is annoying that they haven't found a way to add more sunbeds. People get there early, throw on their towels and stay or disappear and the seat is gone for the day. This is a solvable issue and the resort should so something about it. 2. Check in is after 3 - could be later - and it's not flexible, so if you are arriving earlier be prepared to sit around waiting for your room. It would be nice if they could flex a little as waiting hours for a room without your bags is not a joy, but it is what it is. 3. Eating - you are on the resort, so you are eating in one of their restaurants - no other options available. There are a few restaurants so not really a problem (we did the hot pot restaurant and it was great), but good to be aware. By far the most expensive places we ate in Malaysia, but I guess given the quality of the resort it wasn't a surprise and the main restaurant is reasonable enough. 4. Activities - my wife and daughter did the cooking class and loved it, we did the night walk - which was fun and me and my son did the coral garden. The Coral garden was fun and I was lucky to see a big old shark. However there is a large amount of plastic floating on the surface of the water that is quite concerning and makes the whole place not feel so clean. The corals and fish look healthy so may be fine, but be prepared to swim through bottles and crisp bags to see the fish. The local resorts and local authorities should really work together to resolve and you pay the tourist tax, so not sure where that's going, but not to plastic clearance by the look of it. Hope that's helpful. all in all, it's a beautiful place to stay, could just do with a tweak here and there to make it even better

My recent stay at The Pacific Sutera Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. Despite only spending 2 days and 1 night at the hotel, the level of service I experienced was truly top-notch. From the moment we stepped into the lobby until our departure, every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations. The hotel's attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the cleanliness of the facilities to the overall ambiance, which contributed to a memorable and enjoyable experience. However, what truly set this stay apart was the outstanding service provided by the hotel staff. I must make a special mention of one staff member whose name unfortunately escapes me. She mentioned that she has been a part of the hotel's team for the past 20 years, and her dedication to her work was palpable in every interaction we had with her. Her genuine friendliness, warmth, and professionalism enhanced our stay and left a lasting impression. I believe it would be wonderful if the hotel could consider acknowledging her dedication and exceptional service with a bonus or some form of recognition. Her commitment to ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of guests like myself deserves commendation, and such gestures would not only serve as a token of appreciation but also motivate her and other staff members to continue delivering outstanding service. Overall, my experience at The Pacific Sutera Hotel was nothing short of fantastic. I look forward to returning in the future and experiencing the hotel's hospitality once again. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable and delightful stay in Kota Kinabalu. Warm regards, Lydia

After a long trip arrived at hotel and quickly signed in. We were upgraded to a fantastic room, however phone and TV not working but a great balcony view of the South. China Sea and to the left the jungle. It was lovely to sit and watch the various birds and fireflies. Malaysia Airlines had lost one of our bags and did not seem concerned however after no success we spoke with James at reception who soon sorted it out and it arrived at 9pm. One day wasted Thanks Malaysia Airlines. The next day we had a leisurely breakfast plentiful and good choices of Malay and Western. Very courteous staff. Saw our first monitor lizard and had a garden tour by. a very informative employee Roy. Decided against the nature walk as advised not much to see this time of year. Spent most the day on the empty beach ( Some jellyfish but otherwise a nice dip) and in empty swimming pool. 3 linked pools lovely and warm but needs some maintenance and jacuzzi not working. Only a couple of restaurants were open and although quality of food was good the menus were similar. On our last day we had a very good Chinese style meal in The Noble House (Only open until early evening). As with most meals we were the only ones in the restaurant. All meals were very reasonably priced. The advertised firefly. tour was cancelled due to low tide but Christina arranged a private trip to see them and also the proboscis monkey. Well worth it. . Points to Note Low occupancy with the majority of guests staying overnight only, meant we had pools and beach to ourselves and the restaurants were virtually empty. Disadvantage was that some restaurants. and snack places did not open. Lovely remote location fantastic view , beach and garden walks however nothing in walking distance of the resort so unless taking a. taxi or day trip would not see or meet other local people restaurants or shops. Note the hotel shop has very limited souvenirs and only a few crisps and drinks. We had a great relaxing time, the hotel needs some updating and maintenance but that did not affect our.enjoyment. Staff were helpful and courteous and room clean and well stocked with water tea and coffee. A/C fine. So if you want a relaxing beach and pool holiday with good food and when we were there tranquility we recommend Nexus. PS book trips at the hotel as the one we booked through our agent was about 3 times more.

Everything's all good. Except that the floors in both rooms are so dusty. Wish they could have properly vacuum and mop the floors. Only one floor mat was available so everyone's feet were dirty. GGuest UserOverall our 2-night stay at Hyatt Centric KK was comfy n relaxing. The lobby n top floor lounge ambience is excellent~feeling of calmness. Rooms are spacious n clean with beautiful sunset seaview. We especially like the bathroom with sitting bench~ a considerate design for guests who prefer to sit n shower. Restaurant staff were very well-mannered n helpful. The hotel is well located just opposite the Sabah Suria shopping mall, so it's very convenient if you wish to dine out or shop around…

GGuest UserWe stayed here as part of a group tour. The first impressions were great as the staff took our luggage to our accommodation and they gave us a helpful briefing about the island. We were also welcomed with cold towels and a cold drink which was very welcome. The island does get very busy, particularly on weekends with day trippers, but we liked that there was a beach specifically for hotel guests. The hotel also has a pool but we didn’t use this. Our room was really nice with a comfy bed and fluffy pillows and good air con. We had a safe, a fridge and kettle and tea and coffee, and the bathroom was nice and spacious. We also had sofas to sit and relax with a tv. The only point I would make is that there were no shelves to put your clothes on in the rooms but we got creative and took the ironing board out of the cupboard and created our own makeshift shelf. It was so sweet that the staff left us a weather forecast on a card for the next day, and some chocolates in our room. The restaurant on the island was really good with nice breakfast choices and dinner options. Breakfast was included and we thought the food options and drinks were reasonably priced. We were also serenaded by a band who played a few songs for us at dinner which was fun. We loved walking along the pier where you could see baby black tips, puffers, needle fish and shoals of fish - anchovies. There are a lot of sandflies and mosquitoes on the island and in our room we were given a plugged in repellant along with a candle to deter them which the staff lit for us. Even though we wore repellent at night (dusk and dawn), we got so many bites so it is worth covering up at night; especially legs and feet. We also got lots of stings on the snorkelling trip from sea lice, so if you are sensitive to bites and feel allergic, we would recommend that you wear a long wetsuit or lycra pants if you have them. We had a lovely relaxing time here and it was a very enjoyable stay for us.

AAnonymous UserStayed for 3 nights Day1 stay checked in around 330pm and it was smooth, we were assigned a room in which on my request. Wifi was strong, water pressure was superb, it has a damp(wet) carpet spot till the end of our stay. Day2 breakfast was below average, unlike before, the variety was below par. Quality of the food wise average. We asked for room cleaning(tidy) but since 1100am till 4pm when we back from our errands, the room was still untidy. But we called the passer by cleaning team for towels change and other amenities replenishment Day3 breaksfast was like day2, less variety. Day4 breakfast like same day2 and day3, if it werent included in our booking, i would rather buy outside. 3 nights stay was ok but the question remains, maybe i would recommend but i will come back if the breakfast choices improve Overall stay: 3.7/5.0

GGuest UserNothing much that i can say. my family and I have amazing stay at Borneo Beach Villa karambunai for 3 days 2 night. The villas is clean, the pool is clean and the beach is so beautiful. My family really enjoy with the stay. However the reason i give. 4 star because our villa has some of broken chair at table outside and the door is very hard to open because of rusty. I think maybe the villa itself is too old. Mybe it just our villa not sure with another. It will be nice if they can check regularly maintenance for each villa Some of things need to remind while you in here: 1. Villas doesnt have WIFI. Only have at receptionist, thus if you want to do work while chilling make sure you bring your own wifi. 2. Make sure to buy any groceries that you want before reach to villa because the distant with mart is far away they didnt have their own mart, only restaurant 3. This villa didnt provide any lobby service. But aboVe all that we are really enjoy staying here.

SSONGHYUNThis is the first complaint review I leave while living in Kota Kinabalu for the past eight years. I booked for a sleepover party I made to celebrate the 16th birthday of my beloved daughter and friends. The connecting room, birthday decoration, and extra bed that the hotel specifically requested were not prepared, and above all, the smell of mold from the room was shocking. I am an asthmatic. I couldn't complain in front of happy children, so I had a terrible night. When I woke up in the morning, the children also had a hard time with the smell of mold. I felt sorry and ashamed to my daughter and friends. I talked to the staff about the situations while checking out, and they told me to leave a review. Room numbers 7331 and 7332 must be checked.

I was very pleased with my stay. but little disapointed when there is no access parking card and u need to pay rm15 extra for it .
