Suarti Boutique Village

Ubud Bali|0.26km from Bali Culture Centre
Stayed two night in a two bedroom villa with pool. Two nights in this hotel is two nights too many for any traveler. First impression of the property were not flattering. The grounds have seen better days. The main motor court has several covered parking spots for hotel/guest cars. The roofs over half of the covered spots were either falling down or had completely fallen down. Then when you check in, the receptionist tells you, their Visa system is inoperable. The property was closed for COVID. It reopened in September 2021. To this day, reception is still only capable of accepting cash or local debit cards. Unless you book your stay through an online booking agency and pay the agency using your Visa card online, be prepared to pay for your stay with cash or debit card when you depart the hotel. At my insistence and over an hour of scratching their heads, they were able to figure out how to accept my Visa card, but only by running the charge through the visa system of the on site restaurant. The front desk is clueless. The room was nothing like the photographs online. Photographs can make any pig look attractive with enough lipstick. The hotel website advertises every room has hairdryer, toiletries, minibar and digital safe. All of which were not present in my room. When I questioned staff about it, their only response was that housekeeping had to remove the safes from each room. No reason or apology for the lack of minibar or bathroom amenities/hairdryer. During my stay, the phone system of the hotel had been bloken for the last month. The hotel's solution was to provide every guest with the hotel's WhatsApp number. Any requests from the room were to be directed to the WhatsApp number. Using WA as a temporary solution while the hotel could not figure out how to fix their phone system is great if you have a local cell phone. If not, good luck because the wi-fi access in the rooms was nonexistent or barely accessible. And when calling the WhatsApp number on the first morning to request a coffee, I had to ring the number 8 times before someone answered it. Which seemed a bit odd, because I could hear the hotel Whatsapp cell phone ringing from the patio of the villa next door to mine. With or out a minibar, one would expect the room to offer at least complimentary coffee and tea- just as every other hotel in the area. Well, think again! The room did have coffee cups/saucers for four people on a tray in the kitchen along with an electric tea kettle. The only problem is there was no tea, or coffee available- just a wooden box with one packed of sugar inside. I asked for coffee and creamer. I was told they did not have any from their supplier..... UNACCEPTABLE So every morning, I would WhattsApp the front desk and request a latte from the restaurant. Seems simple enough right? Well, not for Suarti. They had to wait for the restaurant team to arrive at 7am and then still send a waitress to the room to take the order for my latte by writing it

Budhi Ayu Villas Ubud Bali

Ubud
The hotel is a single-family villa, and it is a single-family house. It is no problem for 6 to 8 people per set. With a private pool, we brought two 12-year-old children and the children had fun! The villa is very quiet, there is a parking lot, we are chartered, and the driver is waiting at the parking lot every day, very convenient. Staff service is also very good. Breakfast is a set menu, you can choose from the menu, it is now, it is relatively simple, the key is the environment and service.

Bali Spirit Hotel & Spa

After more than 15 years, I was thrilled to return to Bali Spirit. The River Suite that I booked was comfortable and spacious, with a beautiful river view. Breakfasts were delicious were efficient and friendly service, and if you arrive early, you can also select a table with a beatiful view. Reception staff were also friendly and efficient- once when I called to let them know that the normally great Wi-Fi had stalled, they sent someone immediately to restore it. The pool is lovely, and if you hike down a bit from the pool you can go for a nice riverside stroll. With reasonably priced rooms, Bali Spirit definitely merits 5 stars!

Well, avocado chocolate chip/mocca ice-cream ain't bad from the shop downstairs. The monkeys are plentiful on the walk into Ubud to go to the supermarket - Coco's. $7 Australian puts you in the location at yellow coconut village - Nyuh Kuning. Beds are comfortable and everything is clean. A Go-Jek scooter made the trip from the airport in an hour or so for 200,00 or 300,00 rph can get you a car though you my be asked 800,000 lol You have access to a pool through a sister hostel - Lagas Hostel nearby. Kememai is next to a primary school and a playground is diagonally opposite where some kick soccer. A comfortable cheap restaurant is nearby. Staff are humorous and breakfast is provided on the third tier which is the roof-top hangout. Wifi works consistently. Its location, location, location and never seems to be over-booked so has space, For the budget traveler, its ideal. For the backpacker, worth a stay. Away from the tourist conundrum of Ubud inner city itself which can be too much in your face, Kememai offers a retreat yet with walking access to Ubud bypassing the monkey forest, You will love it. And there are lots of parents wirh children as the location is super-safe do not give the monkeys a banana or they willj ump you.......
