Sometimes you find a hotel or resort that immediately makes you feel calm, relaxed, and grateful you've booked the right place. Bagus Beach Resort is definitely in this category. From the moment I stepped into the vast grounds resplendent with old Bali charm, I knew it was going to feel like home very quickly. I was immediately greeted by the resort manager, Pak Widi, who is extremely friendly and exceedingly knowledgeable about the region's attractions and history, as well as about Balinese culture. Make sure you spend some time talking to him, he's a really lovely guy! The resort itself perfectly captures the mood of North Bali tourism: peaceful, relaxed, slower-paced, it's a bit like stepping back in time to 20 years ago, when travelers stayed for about a month, learnt some Indonesian and Balinese, whiled away the days reading books and walking, and just growing to really love and respect the place. The room I stayed in couldn't have been cozier, and was spotlessly clean. The breakfast prepared by Pak Widi's beautiful wife, Ibu Jero Made, was absolutely delicious - she makes the island's best 'jaje Bali' - traditional sweets. She's extremely talented, and a very kind soul. Bali's tourism industry will be suffering from the impact of Covid-19 for a long time to come, and the more remote parts of the island especially so. If you want to really make your rupiah count, skip the south and head up to the north. You'll be rewarded in spectacular sunsets and grateful smiles for doing so! This place was absolutely amazing!! I’m so glad I chose to stay here. It was super clean and had the most friendly and bubbliest crew there!! It was off the main touristy location and was in a quiet area that had an ATM and little supermarket next door. Security was on point and would check the cars when we dropped back for anything we may have left behind, or they would take a pic of the cars number plate when we were picked up by transport.

The location is the main attraction for this hotel. It is just opposite to Kuta Beach. It is in the center which we can find easy to have a walking around kuta. One thing is that we got confused or hotel didn't provided proper information in Expedia. We booked the hotel just it is near to beach and with the swimming pool. But when we were about to check-in the Receptionist told us that our room was assigned in the ground floor and moreover we found there was no window in the room. But it was our fault of not checking properly in the internet. Because they had the 2 building under same hotel name and the one we choose was mid-range and other was luxury.Breakfast was super and the rooftop swimming pool, we enjoyed there. Rooms were clean and the service was excellent.

When i decided to take my whole family (my parents, my brother's family, my wife and kids), i just trust this hotel and directly contacted the person who help me in my last stay in this hotel, Mrs. Dewi. She knows what exactly i needed, and prepared everything perfectly without my detailed explanation (including preparing a ball for our kids to play in the garden area). The food was great, but honestly the pastry's (croissant, pancake, waffle) taste was not consistent each days (sometimes great, sometimes just okay). I heard they changed their chef so i think that's why. But overall still a great experience of breakfast everyday for my whole family. The new thing about this hotel that wasn't there in my last stay, is the sunday market. That event make our stay more exciting and enjoyable without going out from hotel a whole day in sunday. The other hotels may have better views, better locations, better facilities, better room rates etc, but i would recommend this hotel because of those too. Means, this hotel have the best balance of views from rooms, location and parking space (very important for road tripper like us), facilities that are family friendly, and -best value for money- rates. Looking forward for our next stay here!

Perfect for the budget conscious yet this hotel offers everything you'd want in amenities and comfort. It has a beautifully clean swimming pool with excellent sun lounges and the rooms are far enough away from the street to be quiet and peaceful. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the house-keeping is thorough and professional. The bed in my room was very comfortable and great size, the bathroom is clean and there was enough storage space for a comfortable few days. It is less than ten minutes from the airport which is perfect for transit travellers and only about ten minutes walk to German Beach. Very close to Lippo Mall and is at the heart of the restaurants area of Jalan Kartika Plaza. If you're not into 5 star resort type luxury, this hotel is ideal and I would happily stay here again.

Really nice hotel in the ITDC area of Nusa Dua, easily accessible, safe and with a long pool and an Indonesian Style buffet breakfast. The rooms are a good size and very clean, well worth the price. Staff are super friendly and helpful, they are incredibly polite and accommodating to guests . Special shout-out to Dewak who was very very helpful throughout my stay here and helped me out without fail. He knows the area well too and so gave me good recommendations for coffee places and places to get good food and drink! Will stay here again for sure!
