This resort exceeded my expectations. The property and rooms are absolutely beautiful, the location is perfect (right on the water), and the service is top notch. We stayed in one of the courtyard villas and it had it's own garden area with lounge/day bed, a loft bed (which we didn't use), and a beautiful indoor/outdoor bathroom. The food at the resort was really good and the diver center is well run. Our dive master Teja was really nice and ready to dive whenever and wherever we wanted to go. We dove the USAT Liberty during the day and night, did the Coral Garden, and went to a site I read about where we could see harlequin shrimp and he knew exactly where to find them. We saw an amazing variety of unique marine life and you can even snorkel and see so much right from shore. Keep in mind the beach is black rock beach so you really can't lay on the beach, but the hotel has nice lounge chairs that you can lie on just a few feet from the water up above the beach. There isn't really much in town to do. There are a few shops for souvenirs and a few restaurants, but I recommend eating at Mimpi.
We spent one night here and wish we’d spent a week!! What a lovely resort, beautiful rooms with sea views. Axel has done a wonderful job with this. The staff were so friendly. We had dinner in the Bamboo restaurant which was world class, stunning varied menu with Balinese, Asian and Western cuisine. Tauch dive center was flawless. Our equipment was well cared for and they have a spacious area for kit up and clean up after dive. We requested an extra dive for our youngest son who had just qualified, and Madei took such good care of him at the Liberty where we had a spectacular dive. Thank you to all at Tauch Terminal. 👌🏻
Scuba Seraya is a hidden gem! A quiet location set in the shadow of Mount Agung and right on the beach, where you fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. Diving facilities are great and are right on the property. We did about 7 days of diving and it never got old! Eka, our dive master was AWESOME. He was extremely helpful and informative about the local dive sites. He is a true asset to the dive team and made our experience unforgettable. The Housekeeping and Restaurant staff are so friendly, always making sure we were comfortable and were having a wonderful stay. The Restaurant has a great menu, with a good selection of cocktails. They are also happy to make any substitutions to suit vegetarians, which I really appreciated. Thank you so much to the ladies for being so accommodating and friendly. If you're looking for a quiet, serene place in Bali with stunning dive sites a short boat ride away, this is the place to stay! Scuba Seraya will be our first choice if we return to Bali!

I spent a few days in tulamben aero dive center, I enjoyed my stay in this hotel so much that I extended my stay for more days. Honestly for this price I was presently surprised, the room was clean, the bed sheets were clean too, bathrooms are ok, there’s a swimming pool with a restaurant on top. The restaurant has an amazing view from the mount Agung, I was mesmerized. The place is tranquille so you will not be bothered, there are many other restaurants near from the hotel if you want to try something different.
The staff is really friendly if you need anything you could just ask them they were so helpful.
The hotel is well located and is just in front of the diving place, you can do scuba diving with them or snorkeling, it’s the same price in all the hotels and centers in the area. If you want to do other activities or need a driver just ask the manager Anie she will help you with anything, it was so nice to meet her !
I was even upgraded to a bigger room after a few days. I would recommend not taking the room by the pool though as the bathroom will smell like humidity.
Honestly I have been to more expensive hotels in Bali and it’s the best experience I have had so far. I cannot wait to come back!
I stayed here for the third time in March and hope to visit many many more times. It’s such a beautiful place, so tranquil and quiet and beautiful at any time of the day or night. Wayan and his team run an exceptional place to stay and dive from. I dived for eight consecutive days with Made Saur, the same as during the last two visits. For macro photography, an experienced , patient, skilled and observant local guide is needed. Made has all of these traits in abundance. The macro dives were at least as productive, or probably even better than they were pre-pandemic. I came back with hundreds of pictures of wonderful creatures. Tulamben has been hit really hard by the absence of Chinese tourists who are really not travelling yet. It’s such a shame. Having been to Lembeh and Ambon and Anilao, I consider Tulamben to be just as good if not better than these areas. Factoring in the beautiful resort, the skill and kindness of the guides and the staff, a stay here is top class experience.
This trip is more difficult to book, the price is very low, the room is incredible, but the hygiene is too general, it is a sea view room but my room is blocked by a small house in front, the service is not bad, breakfast is very general! Very close to the shipwreck dive site!
My husband and I as well as my son stayed at Hi Blue Melasti Resort for 12 days. It is a great resort. Small resort with 8 double rooms but I like that. The rooms are good, huge bed, 2 desks which is a luxury when you want to look at your pictures and video's after diving and an outside big bathroom with 2 sinks. The food is excellent, a lot of choice and really good. Service is incredible, they will really help in every possible way. We have been diving there - manager did wonderful work - 3 excellent dive guides for us. We saw a lot of new stuff and they are attentive and very helpful. My son had 20 dives thus I was a bit anxious but he had a good dive guide who assisted him, and showed the reefs and the bogger stuff (as a beginner, he was not really interested in macro). Each time after the time, the fresh water was waiting for us, clean towels They have a good camera room. We will go back!
We had a lovely time at this resort. The AC worked great! The patio was a nice quiet place to admire the view of Mt Agung and listen and watch the birds. The bed was comfortable and the outdoor shower was nice too. Dining for most of our meals was at the two restaurants that are owed by the same person (Ricardo) as the resort and we enjoyed it all. The dive shop was also at the resort. Kobang was a good dive guide and the USAT wreck/artificial reef was our favorite dive site. The resort is a great place to admire the beautiful gardens, get a good night's sleep, and swim in the infinity pool. It's a great bang for your buck! Communications with Ricardo were answered promptly and he arranged for our transfer to/from the DPS airport as well as an all day driver to see some of the sights on Bali.
What a lovely place. The entrance is spectacular when you arrive and check in. We had a deluxe villa one back from the ocean front. Beautifully appointed with the exception of the safe as it is low down so you block the light and can't see inside without a torch. The bathroom is really spacious and also beautiful. We only stayed 4 nights and found the menu a bit limited as I dont eat fish or tofu. Only had one dish that we weren't happy with. If you like spicy ask for it spicy hot as the dishes are flavoursome but lacked the heat I was expecting for the local dishes. This has been the same everywhere we ate on this trip. After asking for spicy hot the dishes were great. Didn't do any tours just relaxed by the pool and snorkelled. Black sand and stones with limited coral but lots of fish and saw two turtles on the 1st snorkel. Diving was very interesting with lots of weird critters. The whole dive team were amazing. The whole site is really very well maintained and constantly too. Nothing looked dated despite it being 15 years old. Didn't use the spa or take part in the many free yoga sessions. We are planning to drop in again for a week when next in the area. Organised a transfer to the ferry at Padang bai for our next location in Gilli. Driver was very friendly and arrived early so we left early as we were ready. The roads are slow but the time suggested for departure byvreception when booking was perfect. Every staff member was very friendly and greeted us with big smiles. There is a happy hour at the bar from 6 to 7pm with 30% off and Komang makes a great Mai Tai. Be careful of the ramp by the bar as even when dry is slippery. There are also steps next to it. We loved Simba the cat too, so cute and was not begging for food. He only interacted with us as we kept calling him.

Outstanding
GGuest UserThe environment is good, the sea is clear, and the service is good.
GGuest UserI feel like this place is a hidden gem. It is friendly to all types of travelers as long as you like to scuba dive. The scuba instructor there Steve was fantastic. There was 2 others that were in training to get certified as dive masters. They were also great as well. If you want a comfy quiet place to stay where the staff is very friendly then this is your spot. It’s not as high end but I found it to be perfect. Make sure when you go to say hello for me. Bring your computer for entertainment such as movies to watch etc as there is only 1 channel in English on the TV that works. 10/10 though. Will be back to dive again!
MMichelle_and_DougieThe pool & surrounding area is great. The rooms are big & the beds are comfortable. The staff are lovely & will help you out as much as they can, even offering to shuttle us down to the village because it was raining. The breakfast is a mix of Asian & continental, additional meals are good value for money (the Nasi Goreng is huge). Nice relaxing area upstairs with TV with music channels & a bar (open when there's enough guests). The name BackPacker really doesn't suit this hotel, & in fact probably puts people off. Don't let it, it's perfect for families, couples & groups but there is one room with bunks for backpackers if they want to come here. We knew before we booked but the village is a 10min walk down an unlit road with no pavement.
KKate123The location is 1 km from the center of the village. I live in one of the three bedrooms and one living room. The bathroom in the living room is very large. I live alone. The facilities are very old. The room is next to the dive shop.
