Fivelements Retreat Bali

Ubud Bali|1.5km from Joll Bali
There are not enough accolades to express the huge enthusiasm and joy I felt after my recent ten day detox experience at Five Elements Retreat. The grounds, set by the calming water rapids of the Ayung River, are nothing short of spectacular. Truly it’s how I would imagine The Garden of Eden to look like with its lush greenery, tropical flowers, water features and Balinese statues. A constant calming treat for the eye and ear. The accommodations were high end deluxe with our private pool, view of River, outdoor shower, huge bathtub and enormous comfortable mosquito netted bed. Housekeeping was always impeccable. As was every element of service provided by each and every one of the warm, friendly and caring staff on their team. The cuisine was 100 percent vegan with many creative, tasty and well presented dishes. It’s a good introduction to the vegan lifestyle. Our cooking classes with the head chef were enlightening and fun (but with all due respect, I was not converted to becoming vegan in the real world!) Finally, the health and healing services offered were truly top of the line- as good as- if not better than the most famous spas in the world I have visited. Only locally made natural creams and lotions are used during treatments. For me the real highlight was the water healing session (beyond amazing) but all the others were excellent too. The healing staff were all top of the line. Always ending up relaxed and refreshed. Special thanks to Keetut for her constant kindness, eagerness and helpfulness to refine and define our specific activities and sessions during the stay. I can not recommend Five Elements highly enough either for an extended retreat or a short hotel stay. What a paradise!!! I hated to leave.

Because it is close to Green School, I chose this hotel, and several classmates are there, so I can play together in the pool after school. The Villa has a large area, but the sanitation is not good, but the service is pretty good. It is more troublesome to take a taxi. The section from the gate to the lobby is not displayed on Grab, so I often explain it to the driver.

With only a short holiday, we were warmly welcomed by professional, friendly and helpful staff at this boutique hotel. Positioned perfectly amongst rice fields, and only a 10-15 min (free transfer) to Ubud town centre, the instant tranquility was exactly what we needed. We took advantage of the sun loungers in the infinity pool to enjoy the warm afternoons with a good book. Loved the hotel restaurant for a variety of breakfast (and some dinner) options. We enjoyed several spa treatments at the on-site Spa; and appreciated the attentiveness of all staff – including the Director – for the duration of our stay. The room was a modern, clean and well-equipped villa. The hotel is a short walk to a large supermarket, and an even shorter walk to other popular local restaurants. Would highly recommend, and will definitely be returning! Thank you Made and staff.

The hostel is very nice both inside and out, clean and the family and staff are very friendly and accommodating! At the same time, part of the proceeds are donated to a charitable cause in the area. The breakfast offered is balanced and is freshly prepared between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. The only small disadvantage is the distance to Ubud, which can be reached inexpensively within 10-15 minutes with Grab or a rented scooter. Many leisure activities such as water sports, quad biking or other tours can be booked from there.

The hotel is in a ... rural, yes rural. At first I thought the driver had gone the wrong way and passed through a paddy field (only one car) to the hotel lobby. If there is no Chinese service and English is poor, you can only rely on translation software. The hotel's main landline is broken. Many things happen in the future. Ctrip needs to contact the hotel. It can only rely on my mobile phone. Meals are not produced well, barely eaten and sustain life! However, the hotel environment is really good. I set the room upstairs, the room type of the pool downstairs, similar to an infinity pool, looking out is a forest, very quiet! The room hygiene is good, but the pavilion mats in the pool downstairs are particularly dirty, and various insects and ants cannot be used ... In addition, there is a small lizard-like animal in my room, which will scream. I asked the hotel if I was afraid people would not hurt Man, tell me not to be afraid. I'm not afraid of it when it arrives, but it suddenly makes two noises at night. For the time being it is a mascot. There are a lot of mosquitoes in the entire hotel, which is really unsatisfactory, but hotels in such an environment seem inevitable! I will go there again if I have the chance!
