Alaya Dedaun Kuta

Kuta Bali|1.23km from Taman Air Spa Bali
My husband and I had the pleasure of staying one night at Alaya Dedaun Kuta, and wish we’d stayed longer. The location is great, right in the thick of everything with endless restaurants, bars, convenience stores and shopping, but also somehow a peaceful oasis when you set foot on the property. Check in was lovely, and even though we encountered some technical issues with payment, the check in proceeded and we cleared up payment without issue the following day when a team member more experienced with the eftpos machine could process the transaction. The property is lovely with beautiful gardens and very private villas. Our villa was bigger than our apartment in Sydney, with a huge and beautifully designed bedroom and living area overlooking a lush garden and pool, and a ridiculously huge bathroom. Welcome tea was brought to our room with our bags, and it was lovely to sip on our iced tea whilst we relaxed by the pool. The bed is very comfortable and we slept peacefully. The bathroom had plenty of towels, with great water pressure. We enjoyed one Indonesian breakfast and one Japanese breakfast the following morning, and were genuinely surprised at how delicious everything was. Before breakfast was served we received a quiet knock on our front door to see if the breakfast could be set up outside. This was a welcome touch, as we had the opportunity to close our curtains and get dressed, whilst breakfast was set up outside. It was such a lovely start to the morning, to enjoy our breakfast outside whilst we watched the trees sway and the pool water ripple. Unfortunately we had to check out after breakfast, and were kicking ourselves that we didn’t stay longer to enjoy our pool properly, and a spa treatment onsite at the acclaimed DaLa Spa. I would highly recommend staying at Alaya Dedaun Kuta, and hope that you can stay longer than we did!

Very clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable. A few things need tweaking such as basin tap in bathroom should be replaced. A kettle and mugs would be very useful if provided. There are no breakfast facilities but there is a supermarket and restaurants within walking distance. The staff are wonderful, so friendly, kind and very helpful. I would recommend staying here as very convenient to the high street. Thank you to lovely hard working staff for making our stay enjoyable. Lila and Alan UK

Absolutely terrible. We arrived tired after a long trip and after checking in we took a quick look around before taking a quick nap. It wasn't until after that we realised that the toilet was completely broken and detached from the wall. When we tried to flush, the whole bathroom flooded. Also the lock on the front door of the apartment was broken, so we couldn't lock it. This is other than all the random broken glass, peeled off paint, and general shabbiness of the room. When we told the staff about the bathroom and the lock, they said that there was nothing they could do because it was the day before Nyepi and all the other villas are full. I understand they couldn't fix it because of Nyepi, but they should have NEVER checked us in to a villa in that state. It's extremely unprofessional and unhygienic, especially since they knew we'd be stuck in the room for 2 days for Nyepi. It was absolutely unacceptable, and we will never be staying here again.

The hotel has been taken over by the domestic 7-day group. Booked from the official website to pick up the pick-up, came to pick up the Chinese staff, very affordable price, we booked a suite on the first floor, soundproofed, the room is large and comfortable. There is a 1.2 meter deep pool. Except that the bathroom design is a bit inconvenient, the hot water is a bit slow, the shower head is too high, and can't take it down. Breakfast is a la carte, a little simple, but the hotel for a hundred dollars is understandable. The clerks are very polite. Walk to the beach for about half an hour, suggest a taxi, 10 minutes from Carrefour.
