Here’s a review based on your feedback: The hotel is good for the price, with decent amenities that meet expectations. However, the service from the front desk could use some improvement. We felt that the attentiveness to our requests, which were clearly mentioned during the booking, was lacking. A bit more focus on delivering a ‘wow’ impression rather than a slight disappointment would elevate the overall experience. With a bit more attention to detail, this hotel could be a great choice.

The special aroma in the lobby is too strong, not everyone can handle it. The room is relatively old with too less USB sockets.

The Standard Hotel, Bangkok: Not your standard but of exacting exalted standards. I’m a loyalist to Standard Hotel LA Downtown. It has a bit of an irreverent and non-conformist verve - attracting a gamut of characters from the ultra pretentious to the authentically creative or artistic types. It is flashy, LGBT embracing, unapologetic, over the top, form defying, stylish, excessive, extravagant, wanton and bursting with character. Hence it will always be a magnet for characters and drug-fuelled-all-nighter parties but you can expect a scrubbed-clean version in BKK. I flew to Bangkok specifically for the new Standard Hotel - I’ve been dying to check this out. It absolutely doesn’t disappoint. You do get hordes of pretentious IG-ers or alleged annoying influencers doing their 3 hour shoots. But if you got a creative eye like I do and genuinely appreciate solid architecture, offbeat interior styling and intricate art pieces then this place is heaven for you. The style is a mash-up of the most daring and eclectic seemingly mismatched pieces that miraculously come woven together to create a signature style. It is so incredible. There’s no ordinary here - the commanding ceiling art piece outside The Standard Grill restaurant is so technically remarkable I stood there to drink up all the details. It’s so layered here - I feel that the vanity of the superfluous influencers robbed the true meticulous design considerations. I can go at lengths about the styling but I’ll just state that you should deconstruct every element and wow your senses. Everything is modestly sized - pool. Steam room, restaurant, bars, etc. Restaurants are an experience unlike any other - Ojo is mex glam meets Jetson futuristic posh. Tease is a popup fairy tale afternoon tea delight. Mott 32 is chinois haute glam. Standard Grill is tailored classiness. The Parlor is a riot of styles. They are all so exciting. What’s even better is the incredible service. There are some hits and misses but the staff genuinely strive to please. Tina who is busy darting around at the reception, lobby and everywhere is saccharine sweet and effervescent. We nearly missed our flight when the sky emptied and no cabs were found. She so very coolly and humorously handled our mini crisis with such panache, we were so impressed. Look past the superficial influencers or pretentious wannabes. Come and blow your senses out with an experience you should bucket list. #eatstylishtravelstylish

The location of the hotel is convenient , on Sukhumvit , a fruit market through an elevated passage , two hundred meters - BTS station . The breakfast is good. The pool is too small . Photo from 16 floor .

I recently stayed at Ibis Sathorn and had a fantastic experience! The hotel's modern design and convenient location made it an ideal choice for my Bangkok getaway. Pros: 1. Prime location: Close to Sathorn Road, Surasak BTS, and central Bangkok attractions. 2. Clean and comfy rooms: Spacious, well-maintained, and equipped with essential amenities. 3. Friendly staff: Helpful, efficient, and always smiling. 4. Delicious breakfast: Variety of international and local options. 5. Affordable: Great value for the price. Highlights - 24/7 convenience store nearby - Short walk to Lumpini Park - Easy access to Silom Night Market

I had an absolutely amazing stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive—they truly made me feel at home. The pool was stunning and well-maintained, offering the perfect place to relax. The breakfast was beyond expectations, with a wide variety of delicious options that catered to different tastes.  Having stayed at many hotels across Thailand, I can confidently say this is the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. Everything from the service to the atmosphere was exceptional. I will definitely be returning on my next visit to Thailand! Excellent service, memorable stay & experience with Louis Vuitton event & Virgil Abloh FW22 show.. We must commend manager Ben & his immaculate team at the FS Spa. Congratulations for a successful opening. We were the very first clients on 31 May at 10am appointment, greeted warmly by Ben as the elevator doors opened. Our masseuses were warm, engaging and professional, with excellent firm hands for our Oil remedial massage. In addition, the Spa shop has beautiful products for purchase. The concierge service via WhatsApp is convenient, efficient and just what modern travelers find useful. Day to day housekeeping requests, in room dining order, restaurant bookings etc. Nothing is too much to ask for the excellent FS team who is service-oriented and well-trained. We had a river-view room. It definitely adds to our experience in Bangkok, especially adding to our long awaited post-pandemic travel excitement. The view over Chao Phrya river & BKK city, day and night, is beautiful. We enjoyed the main pool at different times of the day, never crowded. Attentive poolside service upon arrival, towels freshly prepared over sunbeds, iced water for all, magazines & sunscreen at hand, what more could one ask for. The water is clean, the pool layout is great, the change rooms one level down is immaculate and enjoyable. Wi-Fi is available in all parts of the hotel. Lastly, the food and ambience. The hotel has a luxurious comfortable feel. The lobby is grand and impressive. Breakfast at Riva has eggs made-to-order, freshly cut tropical fruits, flakey pastries. Daily Thai iced teas for everyone!

The bedding is nice, the location is great. But the sound proofing is horrible. It wouldn’t be much of an issue if it wasn’t for the fact that this hotel is very popular with a certain nationality of people who are very loud. As well as other sounds, which I believe was a water heater to meter. The hot water pressure was also inconsistent. Took a very long time to get warm water to shower, then it would fluctuate from not having enough hot water, to scalding hot. I reported this to the hotel but they didn’t fix it.

Kimpton Maa-Lai is one of the best hotel (if not the best) in Bangkok that anyone can stay in. I had stayed here for 1 night in Bangkok, even though I booked with points, the front desk team was generous enough to give me an upgrade to the Maa-Lai Suite in lieu of my IHG Diamond membership. Upon arrival, the bellboys were helpful enough to take care of my baggage and whisk me into the lobby. The lobby at Kimpton was a work of art, and all guests who enter would first set their gaze on their magnificent art piece, The Raindrop. Other than that, numerous art pieces were also scattered around the hotel. I was attended to by Yok, who was very friendly and helpful, and answered all the questions I had, and also explained more about the hotel to me. She even walked me over to my room once the check in was complete! She is an absolute delight made my overall hotel stay very pleasant. In my room, there was also not 1, but 2 welcome letters from Songpol, the Hotel Manager and from Patrick, the General Manager. This is the first time I received 2 welcome letters in 1 stay. Along with the letters was a very nice welcome gift of macarons and chocolate, they were very delicious and left me wanting more. The room was spacious and spotless, equipped with very modern designs. I loved the room so much I ended up spending most of my time in the room instead of heading out.Also, the suite room was equipped with a Dyson supersonic hairdryer! This shows that Kimpton really spares no expense in ensuring the guests comfort, as it is their priority. This hotel is currently on my return stay list the next time I visit Bangkok, in fact, I have already made future reservations, and I would recommend anyone reading this review to not hesitate and spoil yourself by staying at Kimpton too!

Check in and out was breezy. Location excellent near BTS and many malls. Not first time stay here. Downstairs got 7eleven. There is another 7eleven nearby. First time try the breakfast; superb variety. Service good. Need to pay refundable deposit and they are able to store your luggage after check out.
