Bansko Ski Lift Area
We stayed at the Tanne Hotel during our 9 day ski vacation. All in all we took up 5 rooms, which were neat and welcoming, with a feeling of cleanliness overall. I was there with my wife and 4 year old and it was great for us. The ski lift was within walking distance (which didn't matter much since it couldn't get you anywhere, due to the number of people, but that's another story for another time) and there was ample parking for all guests. The real highlights of the place were the Spa area, which included a pool, a jacuzzi, several saunas, massage, showers and lounge chairs, and the restaurant. In fact, the restaurant deserves its own paragraph. Large and welcoming, the staff was professional and always ready to pick up on us needing them. While English wasn't a string point of the waiters, they spoke more than enough to never get our orders wrong and they were super friendly and welcoming. And the food - oh my god the food. If you're not from the Balkans, you owe it to yourself to try the soups here, as well as the lamb and the sausage, but really, everything on the menu was brilliant. I give this place a solid 10. Thanks, Tanne, for the great base of operations for our vacation.

This hotel is the best hotel in Bansko comparing to other 4 and 5 stars hotels. It is a prime Location with a short walk to the gondola and next to all the restaurants and historic sites of Bansko. Best service to the point that they even arranged a personal ride for me when all the taxis in Bansko were busy and not responding to phone calls (as Bansko has only one taxi company). Great breakfast, very attentive chef that we had a pleasure to talk to many times. Modern, freshly renovated rooms with comfortable beds and great Mountain View’s. Modern, upscale feeling lobby with great bartender. Bright, modern hallways. They arranged even laundry for us and personally dropped it off when we had issues with one of the off-site laundry places. They staff is very attentive, smiling and trying their best. We were very happy staying at this hotel as titaniums and would recommend this hotel to everyone that is looking for professionally run hotel in Bansko. I can’t wait for their kids club to be open, as that will be a cherry on the cake.

So, let's start with the positive aspects: - We arrived at 14:00 there and the rooms were ready. We got the room very quickly and everything was clean, cosy and warm. - We had one Studio and we expected something small for two people. But the room was huge, bigger than most of the rooms you will find in Bansko for the same price (we paid 480 Euros for 7 nights (2 people) with half board. The view of the room was wonderful as well, as we had the windows to the mountains, in the morning it was an unique view. The studio has everything you need for two people: fridge, sink, glasses, plates, cups, etc. - We came with our personal car and the parking is huge so there is no need to worry about the parking. There is also one underground parking (limited) where you can park your car if you want to avoid the snow or for any other reason. - Near the parking there is a HUGE ski room in order to deposit your skies and boots. - The breakfast is really really good. If you go in the morning at 7:30 when it opens, everything is hot, the food is fresh, and a lot more possibilities than you would normally eat for breakfast. The coffee is made from beans, orange/apple/cherry juice (not fresh, but really decent). - The spa is very large, clean as the hole hotel is. The pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steambath have the right temperature, maybe the jacuzzi should be a little hotter, but it depends on the person. You get new towels every time you go to the spa. Bathrobes and slippers are provided in each room which is a big advantage. - The shuttle bus to the gondola and back is very on time, we did not have any problem when we used it. We did not use it every day as it was pretty crowded and we went skiing with the car sometimes. - The internet is working pretty well as long as you are not trying to download movies or something similar. - The room towels where changed every day and the blankets each 3 days even after the second change we would have got only one more night to stay. Now, let's talk about some negative aspects that should not be in a 4 star hotel: - First of all, the heaters from the ski room for your boots are not working......why would you make a 100 slot heater if it is not working? You have to take your boots in the room in order to warm them. - The underground parking is sometimes like a deposit. Everything is smelling like they are building the hotel right now, but I guess that is not a problem, you just stay like MAXIMUM 10 minutes in the garage. - The dinner is pretty much not what it should be. If you have medium preferences, you will always have what to eat. In the 7 days that we stayed there, we had each day something new, which is great, but the food is COLD, really really COLD and is awful to eat cold food after a day of skiing. Also, there is NO drinks included.....as it is in the hole Bansko...with the exception of few hotels. - Some COVID regulations are not respected as they should be. Even if the employees are wearing masks,

Stayed at the MPM Sport in February 2024. Rooms, apparently, had recently been refurbished and were clean and comfortable and of a decent size. Unlike our friends room, our room (number 6) didnt have a shower screen on the bath, so I’m sure you can imagine the state of the floor after the shower had been used. Also, the toilet was too close to the bath, so sitting down was extremely awkward. Again, this was only our room as the toilet in our friends room seemed to be placed where it should be. Also, the room was like a furnace with no way to adjust the temperature. Minor *******, that didn’t really affect our stay. Rooms cleaned everyday. Very good selection for breakfast. Cereals, fruit, yogurt, omelettes, other hot items, toast, bread, ham, cheese, etc…. Didn’t eat in there for dinner, so can’t comment on evening meals. The boot/ski room is based on the lower ground floor and has direct access outside. You can come back in the same way, so don’t forget you key card to enable access. The room is literally that… a room. It incorporated racks and shelves but no secure lockers, which I’ve had in other hotels in other resorts. In my opinion, the room could be done with being a bit bigger as well. The spa was lovely and was relaxing after a days skiing. The pool was a good size and the sauna and steam room were great. There was also a separate room with, what I can only describe, as having hot baths in. These were also very nice. There was also a hot tub outside. Just remember your key card so you can get back in!! They also massages and treatments at a cost, but I didn’t get any, so can’t comment. Overall, the hotel is in a good location with the main area of bars/ restaurants bring about a 2-3 minute walk.

There is no hot water bathing, no slippers and toothbrushes. The hotel staff are unlocking the room when we are not there. I feel that our stuff has been turned over and the order is written on 61 euros and two rooms to the store to pay 65 euros when swimming. The clothes locked in their cabinets can also be opened and stolen by 200 euros.
