Hotel Nouvel is absolutely gorgeous from the out- and inside entrance area, elevator, reception, stairs ... Unfortunately, we had a room that had a window only going to an inner quad that was tiny and dark, so even though the weather was beautiful whilst our stay, in the morning it was difficult to believe there was sunshine out there (we tried to change the room, but it was not possible, because the hotel was fully booked)... Except for that (and we didn't spend a lot of time inside) the hotel was nice and clean with friendly staff, and at a perfect spot for adventures in Barcelona!

Great property, but basic rooms, not coffee maker, or mini-fridge, or any of those basic things. I can't justify the price they ask for the room per night. However, it's located in the heart of La Rambla, with lot of restaurants and bars nearby. I would stay here again.

The location is very convenient near Plaza Catalunya. Public transportation is very convenient. It is close to the subway station and is also the terminal of the airport bus. If I had an early flight back home, I took the overnight bus to the airport nearby, saving dozens of euros on taxi fares. Shopping is also very convenient and sightseeing spots are very close. You can go back and rest anytime when you are tired from shopping.
It is cleaned every day and there is a bathtub, but the air freshener sprayed is so strong that it almost smoked me. Check in is late at 3 o'clock, and there is free luggage storage.
