Unrivaled ocean view. There are no boats or houses blocking the view, only mountains, trees, blue sky and bay. The service is very considerate. Feel free to go kayaking. Both the buffet breakfast and the a la carte breakfast are of a high standard. Dinner was also very good, especially the steak, which was of a high standard. Used the best steak meat.

This is no Four Seasons, but it is priced like one In no way this is a 5 star resort. Completely overpriced for the level of services provided. Staff members were all polite but definitely not well trained and transactional, food very mediocre. Spectacular location. This resort is priced at the level of an Aman or Mandarin Oriental-type property and it is very far away from that. Very disappointing for the price we paid.

A unique and heavenly hideaway in spectacular surroundings. A truly relaxing and peaceful haven with superb food and excellent staff. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. The evening tasting menu's were a real delight. Lots of walking choices for the more energetic, but also superb for a rest and reset.

Wonderful. Great food, people, location and activities. We used the complimentary kayaks for a jaunt around the bay and walked up the Look Out above the bay : quite a climb in the humidity of the forest. The sound of the birds was quite charming too, from across the bay.

The BoMC resort is truly in a fantastic location and is working hard to make themselves a 5 star resort. We stayed 3 nights in the Kereru suite which had a private deck with hot tub, included breakfast and dinner, and a welcome charcuterie board and nice champagne. Although expensive on a per night stay, we thought it was probably priced about right. What could have been improved was a bit of customer service attention to detail and a major improvement on the dining. My girlfriend booked a massage on our relaxation day and when she showed up at the spa they had no record of her massage and they were full. When she called and rebooked an appointment for later in the afternoon, they still never received the booking, but were able to squeeze her in. The only laundry facility on property was down for maintenance while we stayed there (in the middle of a 3 week NZL trip), but the staff recovered and finished our laundry in the staff laundry area. My big gripe was the dining service. We stayed at BoMC during the prime holiday season where everyone brought their families. As an adult couple, I would have hoped that the 5 course dinner wouldn't have included 10-12 five year olds running around the dining area and making noise constantly. I don't have a problem with the resort hosting families, but they do have two dining rooms (one up and one down) and they could easily accommodate families in one and adults in another with minimal distractions. Easy fix. Please consider it for future guests.

Paradise lost This is an amazing location with wonderful views - unfortunately the weather was overcast and cool for summer so no stars at night. The rooms are good and maximise the views. Ok its not really five star but good given the location. I do have to comment on the food. A few tweaks could have made a big difference. The beef was beautiful produce but sadly overcooked. and I would not call a bowl of cold brocollini and sum raw baby spinach with a simple dressing a course. its an accompaniment. And some seasoning, lemon or lime and chilli would have gone a long way to lifting my breakfast huevos rancheros to a decent level. I had to do that myself

The Bay of Many Coves was our splurge stay during our 2-week honeymoon road trip through New Zealand. The service and amenities were incredible, and there's a lot to do if you're not the relaxing type. We were able to do some hiking, kayaking, and relax in the hot tub afterwards. We were able to catch a ride to the Bay of Many Coves at the end of our E-Ko dolphin-watching tour, which the hotel arranged for us. The meals and views were incredible, and we would absolutely stay there again!
