I definitely would recommend this hotel. From PUJ to hotel is about an hour or so give or take on traffic. It was $90 each way and make sure to mention to your taxi or shuttle service the Hilton Garden Inn otherwise they will take you to the all inclusive Hilton which is about 20 minutes away. The hotel itself is fairly new about few months opened so that was a plus. If you want tranquil, relaxing, and quiet this is the spot. As soon as you walk through the front doors the staff is very welcoming, respectful, and very helpful. Wiley at the desk was amazing for my stay. The restaurant and bar staff wonderful especially Fluery (I hope I spelled it correctly). My room was beautiful with ocean balcony view. I did enjoy the pool, its not heated, but clean, and was maintained each morning that I was there. Pool towels are available for you if needed, and restrooms outside by the pool area. There was some building going on for the 6 days I was there, a concert was for that Saturday night so they were building the stage and stuff, I do wish that I was notified ahead of time so I could have decided to stay or not. Otherwise it was fine you got use to the noise basically. The food was good and they had the buffet for breakfast. There is a cute gift shop area located by the front desk. I did get to speak briefly to the GM upon my departure she was very nice. The owner Edwin was nice seen him a couple of times in the lobby/bar area during my stay, he was preparing for the concert. Make sure to visit the pier/tower/boat dock area that’s in back of the hotel. It has a mini beach area to swim, as well as take great photos and a shop that makes drinks. You will feel safe at this property with in in house security and the military personnel that is stationed outside back of hotel. It’s simply gorgeous! If you need to get groceries or anything they have the supermarket that is not far away called Jumbo. If you want to book an excursion you can go to front desk and they will assist you! The con for this property is no ATM, make sure you bring enough cash if you are looking to tip.

Overall this resort was an enjoyable stay, but there’s SO much room for improvement still. Food: 2/5. No support for those with allergies or dietary requirements, and no information provided on dishes being served; very few options for vegetarians and vegans. Repetitive menus and all members of our party were ill on multiple occasions following meals at the buffet. Drinks: 2/5. Alcoholic drinks were very hit-and-miss and were made differently at the various bars or by different staff members (would recommend the lobby bar, however, the staff were particularly unfriendly here!). Would definitely avoid the wine unless you’re at the Italian restaurant, and avoid the gin from all bars. Room: 3/5. Limited attention to detail. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Things such as replenishing of towels / bath mats were inconsistent and for the entirety of our 12 day stay were given just 2 towels, despite being a party of 3. Water was not replaced in the fridge daily, however, there are many water points around the hotel grounds, so would advise bringing your own water container or buying one from the gift shop. Having said this, we were given everything that we asked for when we raised any queries with reception staff. The addition of a kettle and coffee station in the room would have make a huge difference, and even things like beers / Cola and Sprite etc. There’s a safety deposit box available in your room but it’s $3 per day, which seems a little unnecessary for an all inclusive resort. The balcony and shower flooded on many occasions, and our toilet leaked. It’s also worth pointing out that our balcony doors did not fully fit the door frame and didn’t lock - had we not been on the 5th floor, this may have posed a great security risk for us that we wouldn’t have been comfortable with. Partial sea view’ rooms are VERY partial sea view. Staff: 3/5 - some were friendly and went above and beyond, some really weren’t that friendly at all and made it very uncomfortable to ask for anything. We also found ourselves feeling uncomfortable around some male staff following inappropriate comments and harassment on occasion. Language is a definite barrier. Gym: The onsite gym is basic but is well kept and clean. Plenty of free weights and machines for everyone to use. It was never overly crowded and the staff seemed happy to help whenever asked. Helpful that there are bottles of water and towels available to use. A few areas of improvement: 1. The gym opens from 7:30am but I think it could do with being an hour earlier to avoid the heat and to have more time to go to breakfast (which also starts from 7:30am) 2. The indoor section of the gym (where the treadmills, bikes etc are) does not have air conditioning or any fans so it gets very stuffy in there. At very least, they could improve it by placing another big fan (of which they have two in the outdoor section) to help with air flow in there. Entertainment: 3/5 - certainly a quieter hotel. I stayed at this resort with my friends in the beginning of July and I’m already planning my next trip back! The customer service is what truly caught my attention. We had many great bartenders and waiters but I would like to give a special shout out to Norileydi Morales. She was extremely attentive throughout our stay and always greeted us with a smile on her face. I’ll be back with my family soon! They have to experience this amazing hotel and service.

The hotel is super central in the place. All you need is reachable in 5min (the place is not so large in itself) The checkin has worked super fix and the two booked rooms were also as shown in the pictures. Rooms work through the floor and furniture quite dark, but let nothing miss. Daily we were asked whether we wanted to clean the rooms. Owner José was a supporter and helped with all questions. When I come to this hotel, I'd like to come back to this hotel. Theme ”Noise”: whoever travels to the Dominican Republic will soon realize that the Dominicans like a little more loud. So here too. Not every evening, but always plays sound music and the sound motorcycles drive through the small streets. But this theme has nothing changed in the cozy atmosphere of the hotel. It is a ”usuality” that you find in many places. The only preaching of the church on Monday evening, which was to hear up to 23Uhr throughout the place, was new to me.
