Everything was great. Thre staff were friendly, the restaurant in the courtyard had good food, and the room has heated floors. Traditional kang beds are hard, so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who doesn't sleep on their back or with back problems.

I would not recommend booking with this location. I made a mistake booking over a week in advance and even though I made contact right away to cancel/refund I was denied. No changes are posted in the rules but this is NOT good customer service.

The location is within Gubei Watertown. Although there’s a shuttle service going to the center, you have to walk all the way through the hotel itself. It’s quite near the Simatai Great Wall and the Dancing Fountain. The hotel has the Japanese themed touch in its rooms. Plus, the complimentary items are so nice. Although at first, I didn’t expect that there is a preauthorization fee for booking? Which means, you book the hotel room (exact amount of the room) and you pay for another same amount in the hotel which is like a deposit. You get refunded after your stay. So, better bring extra cash! Surprisingly, among all the hotels we’ve stayed in Gubei, this by far is my favorite. It’s like a hidden gem ✔️ to mention, it has a mini hot spring in your very own room. It saved us thousands 💴 rather than going to the Hot spring uphill and pay, this is far better! You have privacy, and you can use it unli times. The water is hot and is really good during winter (i will definitely come back on winter days) Though it’s a lil bit far, but it is surrounded with nice Cafes, a convenience store, restaurants, bars, bowling and billiards and near main attractions. If you want a place to stay that is far from crowded areas yet you have everything in the vicinity, then this is the place for you. I do not like it when there’s too many people so this suited us well. Oh, and the way/path going there is beautiful. It’s another side of Gubei that you will love to see! ❤️ I wish I found this before. This is my 3rd time to visit and this gives me more reason to come back next time.

Yeah! Really good hot spring inn! The courtyard-style inn is very unique! I slept on the special "fire pit" bed and had my own private hot spring! I soaked in it every day for several days! Thank you! I will stay here again when I come to Gubei Water Town in the future! 😬😬🙏🙏🙏

Each room has a private hot spring. Long live private hot springs. You can take a bath whenever you want. If the weather gets hotter, you may not want to take a hot spring bath so much. It is still relatively cool at night. After taking a bath, you feel warm and comfortable. The breakfast is good. The store provides a lot of side dishes, which shows the attentiveness. The bed is hard, but my own bed is also hard, so I feel quite comfortable. The inn is in the mountains. There are a lot of insects in the mountains. There is a super big bee in the room. Before going to bed at night, I found four or five small reptiles on the sheets. If I want to pinch it, it will jump. It's a bit scary...

This apartment type room is not big, but it is very unique. The yard is not small and the hot spring water is very comfortable. It is very suitable for family travel. The public yard of the hotel is also very large. It is comfortable to relax in the sun.

This is my fifth stay. The Dakeng Room has a hot spring, which is suitable for spring, summer, autumn and winter. The environment is very comfortable, the atmosphere is very peaceful, and the mind is calm. It can be thoughtful, dazed, poetic, or very plain and natural.

The hotel is located relatively inside the ancient city. You can take a shuttle bus to get in. Tickets for hotels in the ancient city are also discounted. The room is not big but relatively clean. There is a hot spring pool in the room. It happened to be the first snow in Beijing. Great feeling. There is a restaurant in the hotel, which tastes good and the breakfast is rich.

The room retains the original architectural style, with good value for money, and is worth recommending. The boss is very nice and enthusiastic. The room is equipped with a hot spring courtyard, tea sets and snacks. Drink tea and sunbathe during the day, soak in hot springs at night, watch the stars, separate yourself from the noisy crowd outside, and fully experience the tranquility. Although the temperature is high during the day, the mountain breeze is cool at night. It's great to blow the mountain breeze after soaking in the hot spring and count the stars~

This is the second time I have stayed at his house. What I like most about his house is that there is an open-air private hot spring where you can bathe at any time. You can eat and drink while bathing in the hot spring. You can also look at the stars and the moon at night. It is very beautiful. The breakfast is also quite rich, and the lunch and dinner prices are also affordable, and the river shrimps are very fragrant.

Gubei Water Town in autumn is really beautiful! We booked the Eight Flags Inn in the water town because each room has a private hot spring bath. It may be because there are not many tourists on weekdays. They also upgraded the room type for free. The room is not big but very comfortable. I can take a dip after climbing the Great Wall. The hot spring is so comfortable (but the hot spring is open-air, and you will soak with the fallen leaves at this time 😂)! The staff at the B&B are also very warm and considerate. The check-in procedure is done at the tourist service center, which is very convenient. There is a service for checking luggage to the B&B. You can just enter the park and play. If you need to enter and leave the park multiple times, you can also apply for facial recognition at the ticket check-in area. Very thoughtful 👍 There are certain discounts on tickets for staying in ancient town B&Bs and for night tours of Simatai Great Wall. Tour buses in scenic spots can also be used for free with your room card and accommodation registration form. Water Town has a small program to provide the time and location of singing events. You can check everything in the mini program, which is a very good experience!

The hotel is located in the scenic area. The environment is beautiful and the rooms are special. The only thing is that the beds are relatively hard. The foot of the Great Wall is not far from the hotel. The room has a special antique feel and a personal hot spring. It feels great.
