Popular Chongqing 4-star Hotels

The room is big and comfy, everything is good. And fast service when request drinking water and extra pillow. The location is at the 81 food srreet and also JIE FANG BEI. Will come back again

We generally had a pleasant stay at the hotel. On the first night, we encountered an issue with our bed, but the hotel staff resolved it quickly despite it being late. Impressively, they moved us to a different room the next day, even with the hotel being fully booked, and compensated us with a gift. This demonstrates their commitment to customer satisfaction. However, there was a disappointing incident involving a staff member at the afternoon tea. This male staff member, who wears glasses and was on duty clearing plates on December 30th, behaved rudely. When I asked him to clear our table, he responded with a nasty stare and subtly scolded me. This type of behavior is unacceptable in the hospitality industry. I hope the hotel addresses this issue. Despite this incident, I would stay at this hotel again. The service overall was impressive, and it's clear that they strive to provide the best experience for their guests. It’s just this one incident that needs attention.

Our experience at this hotel was great. Timi at reception was incredibly helpful and was able to speak a bit of English. As our flight had been delayed, she helped us attempt to rearrange our flight (without success) but her attitude towards the problem was commendable. The rooms themselves were decent too and had a good view.

I stayed at the Mercure Hotel Chongqing Jiefangbei for 3 nights, from July 16-19, 2024. I had originally booked to stay for 4 nights, but my travel plans changed and I had to check out early on the morning of the 18th at 5:30 am. The hotel was very accommodating about my early checkout and was able to process a refund for my 4th night. I would like to especially thank the two female receptionists who were working that morning for also helping me call a taxi to Chongqing North Railway Station. The staff at the Mercure Hotel Chongqing Jiefangbei were very friendly and helpful. I was especially impressed with the breakfast buffet, which had a wide variety of options to choose from. The hotel is also located in a great location, in the heart of the city and close to the subway. Overall, I had a great stay at the Mercure Hotel Chongqing Jiefangbei and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chongqing.

I travel as business, to come visit Battery Expo at Chongqing international expo. This Hotel location is so perfect. 4 minute walk Close to Metro station . The hotel is inside Peninsula International Business Building, 20 floor. Behind of Westin hotel and Hyatt regency hotel. I stay at 14 floor , the view is amazing at night. The Hotel Room is very Clean with big room. It is close to many famous landmarks and tourism iconic spot of the city by walk. My favourite, at early morning turn left from the building and go to cable car or to the top building to see the all city from 47 floor. At early morning the view It was amazing. The front desk staff are very helping and friendly . Super Service. Definitely very recommend this hotel

A highly recommended service apartment at the heart of city centre. Walking distance to a number of attractions such as Shibati, Hongyadong, Liberation Square, Times Square etc. The accommodation also offers a beautiful scenic view overlooking the city and river. The night scenic view was also spectacular with the skyline view. The most impressive part is the level of service rendered. When I flagged some areas of concern to the staff, they immediately acted on it and offered their best for service recovery which is extremely commentable. Special thanks to 甜甜圈 and 杨川 (and other staff) for going beyond the extra mile to make my stay a comfortable and memorable one.

the view is very nice but the price is not worth the comfort of the hotel. The construction is cheap and they have mould in the bathroom and in the AC. Which makes the air very sticky. The rooms are looking nice on the pictures but in real life its not high class like the price level may expect. We stayed in another hotel with better conditions for third of the price 5min away from this hotel. So its not about the location. Just the look high above is impressing but not worth the price. Also the pool is directly next to the reception and the hotel bar. No comfy place where you like to go for a swim. The best thing about the hotel: The staff was very welcoming and friendly.

Location was great! in the middle of Shibati and Hongyadong, service was contactable 24/7 via WeChat and was very friendly and approachable. Do be careful with the amenities like the washing machine, although it works great, it’s a little bit on the fragile side, but still one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in!!

Hotel is very centrally located. The Location cannot be any better. Less than 2 minutes walk to a Metro station and the Liberation Monument and Times Square and 5 minutes walk to the Art Gallery. Food streets, food courts and food outlets are many and all within 5 minutes walk. Hongyadong is about 10 minutes walk. But I like the food court at Park108. Clean, Aircon and reasonable prices. I stayed in a Royal Suite room. YThe room is clean but tired and furniture are the basic old fashioned type. The room is divided into a separate sitting area, a bedroom, and a small study room. The bathroom is very small for a room of this size. It contains a jacuzzi bath tub but the jacuzzi is not working, so we used it as a shower tray. The wash basin is small and basic. The room comes with two complimentary bottled water everyday and some tea bags. Hotel do not provide toothbrush everyday. The breakfast is basic. Noodle soup station, bread, fried rice, fried noodles, porridge etc. Fried and hard boiled eggs available but no egg station.. Coffee and soya bean milk are from a dispenser. Taxi cannot access the hotel at door step. Taxi will stop about 2 minutes walk away and you will have to pull your luggage along. Taxi are plenty however. The reception guys are extremely polite and helpful.

Booked a room late in pm, and arrived after a long/tiring day. Didn’t look into this hotel’s info in detail(I usually spend hrs checking all reviews/loc info…), as all I needed was to shower, rest and sleep. Upon arrival, reception was warm and welcoming and check in was swift. My room on 18th floor was an absolute dream come true! Large, airy, modern, immaculate and with a bathtub right by the window! Location is great, with lots of shops and malls around, yet pretty quiet inside. The “welcoming snacks” is a fab array of sweets/oatmeal/milk/soft drinks…not witnessed before! I wanted to order some take away and reception helped me with address info-food at my door within 20mins. They offer env friendly slippers(comfortable), even for the little ones! An excellent place to stay, very central and with lots of freebies and new ideas for guests! It’s 10/10 from me!
