We booked a family room with three beds, which is very suitable for family stay. The hotel is very convenient for travel and dining. It is very close to the Summer Palace, Yuanmingyuan, Tsinghua University, and Peking University. There are supermarkets and restaurants downstairs. The front desk service is very good, helping to carry luggage and the drinks in the room are free to drink. There are also many high-quality takeaways nearby, and the takeaways can be delivered to the building by robots.

The facilities are complete, with facial recognition for entry, and what's more surprising is that there is a small refrigerator. It is clean and hygienic, with a garden-like outdoor environment. The most commendable thing is that the service is professional and first-class, especially Xiao Liang and Xiao Li at the front desk, who fully answered questions. In the case of a meeting delay that delayed the check-out time, they helped me extend the reservation to 3 o'clock for free, which is a very thoughtful move.

🏨 The hotel is not far from the Summer Palace, it is very convenient to take a taxi, and the shopping mall is downstairs. I have been a regular at Ariva for last 10 years. It’s a 4 star property which you could easily mistake for 5 star, but that was before the pandemic. After the pandemic, their service quality had dropped significantly. We returned to China and had 5 pieces of big suitcase plus additional hand luggage. Guess what, we were told there is no person who can help us to carry the luggage to our rooms. After repeated reminder, one boy named Tommy who looked like a trainee helped to carry the luggage to the room. Same thing happened at checkout. The reception person was straight and honest “we don’t have a person available who can help you with the luggage”. I had to take 4 rounds to carry the luggage down by myself. And we are talking of a property which is rated as 4 star!! I felt sad, perhaps the hotel had a hard time during the pandemic and was still recovering from bad financial situation that they don’t have full service staff yet. The reception staff, all were trainees from colleges. In terms of facilities, its still a good place. They have swimming pool, gym, spa and every room I have stayed here is spacious and has a bathtub. I have always loved their Aviva center on 6th floor which has DIY kitchen and laundry area which helps if you are staying for long duration or are traveling with kids. I haven’t lost faith and hope Ariva will have its glory days once again.

Staying at this pure Auchan, classical hotel for the first time. It really feels different. But the service is much worse, and I will never ignore you when I meet the waiter at any time. Breakfast is indeed very needed, very needed, very needed. There is a lack of supermarkets and some living conditions around the manor. But considering the location of the manor, it is understandable.

This is the first time I stayed in this kind of inn. It was very comfortable, the environment was very good, the service was very good, the front desk lady answered all our questions, it was really good, the bed was very comfortable, the sheets were very clean, and the bathroom was also very clean! The space is very private, air-conditioned, and the environment is relatively quiet. It’s pretty good among the youth hostels in Beijing and you can stay there permanently. You can also take a shower and brush your teeth. There is also warm and hot water to drink.

This hostel is fine for solo travellers. It was clean and service was good, a little bit distant but Subway is within 1 km. A lot of restaurants nearby.

As foreign, english speaking person I didn't feel welcome in James Hotel. Front desk service was really bad and not helpfull. Thankfully cleaning service was very helpfull, but honestly, this in not their job to look for guests, shouldn,t look like this. Hotel is located hundreds meter from main street and is not easy to find, you need walk through bad inner road and parking lot. Breakfast restaurant is hidden and need to wear coat, so cold during winter. Noone cares. This in not gentlemens place as hotel adverdise!. However rooms are beutifully decorated and i sleeped well.
